We went to the winery because my sisters love wine. Val was eating lunch when we arrived but quickly finished up to give us a wine tasting. Val gave us a brief history of the winery and how he got into the business. Val lived a very colorful life and it was fun listening to his stories about his life. Val is very knowledgeable about wine and shared lots of useful information. I loved listening to him tell us how he made the wines and came up with the names and flavors. We sampled 4 types of wine and enjoyed most of them. The tasting was free. We ended up buying 3 of the varieties that we sampled. All were very good.

Let's ride.
Beginner and experienced equestrians alike will enjoy outdoor adventures with Monkey Island Trail Rides at Royal Horse Ranch. The staff is friendly, knowledgeable and safety conscious. The trial is not thrilling or over the top exciting. It is a nice lazy easy ride around the property, close to the lake. We brought apples and carrots to feed to the horses, geese, pigs and rabbits. The ranch is an animal lovers paradise and a good experience for children. We paid $35 cash/hour for an hour trial ride ($40 for credit card).

Relaxing Trail Ride
This was a fun, relaxing horseback trail ride with the whole family (kids 14 & 11). It was almost exactly an hour long and meandered through their property, through the trees, vineyard and a brief view of the lake. The horses were well trained so we didn't have to work too hard. Would recommend!
