Natural Falls State Park, Oklahoma, United States
4.5 (220 reviews) Tuesday: 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM Spent Ranking #1 in West Siloam Springs State Parks
Beautiful Campground and State Park
This is a beautiful Oklahoma State Park with spacious campsites. It is very well maintained with a gorgeous waterfall and dripping springs in a nearby grotto. 7 sites have full hookups, the remainder have 30/50 amp electrical with very good water pressure. The cell service for Verizon runs about 2 - 3 bars, no WiFi. The office has a few staples and souvenirs. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful including the campground hosts. We camped at Natural Falls State Park in a Fifth Wheel. Tip for Campers: Shopping nearby is available at Siloam Springs, Fayetteville, Rogers and Bentonville, Arkansas. Siloam Springs has the Day Spring Christian Card factory and outlet store. You can also take a day trip to historic War Eagle grist mill and Pea Ridge Civil War battlefield.

Great place to take the entire family!
We were getting “stir-crazy” staying at home, so was glad to see that Natural Falls State Park was open this past weekend. We stayed at site #2 in the Tent camping area, though suggest that if you plan to go tent camping that you select sites: 5~8 as they are located near the tree line which helps to block the wind and offer much greater privacy. Our campsite was adjacent to the volleyball court, one of the frisbee golf stations and the Pine Ridge trail so it felt at times that we were camping in a city park. The state park is located adjacent to a highway, so that contributed to the overall noise levels in our campsite. In the morning, we hiked on the Dripping Springs trail to visit the waterfalls and Ghost Coon Trail to see the Yurts. In the afternoon, we hiked on the Fox Den trail to visit the caves. The trail wasn’t marked very well, but was not at all crowded so it was nice to be able to get away from the crowds in this era of “social distancing”. The campsite, restroom and hiking trails were very clean.

Pretty little spot
Price for parking is $10, which is a little steep if you are only spending an hour or so. I took my dog today because it was so nice out. It’s easy to get to the viewing platform that overlooks the falls. The walk down to the bottom does involve some steep areas and steps. The wooden platforms were slippery - not sure why they don’t put chicken wire down for traction. We also walked the Ghost Coon Trail (Where The Red Fern Grows was filmed here) which was a nice little trail.
