Honor Heights Park, Oklahoma, United States

Lovely park

We came to see the Butterfly "Papilion" (apparently a play on words of "pavilion" and the French word for butterfly "papillon".) While the Butterfly hut was small, it was beautifully executed with pleasant gardens surrounding it. There is a small fee ($3 per adult) to enter the Papilion gardens; the rest of the park is free. The park features a splash pad, a modern playground, several ponds, plenty of shady trees and picnic tables. The April azalea festival and the Christmas lights are special times to visit.

    Lovely Little Park
Every time we go to Muskogee we drive through Honor Heights Park no matter what time of the year. It is lovely. Daffodills are just popping out. Within a month it will be ablaze with azaleas. It has a wonderful landscaped pond. There is a butterfly garden to tour (for a small fee) and a gift shop. Clean restrooms are available there and also at the playground. There are tables for picnicking and plenty of parking. Don't miss the April azalea experience.

    Very relaxing place
The park is very pretty. There is a lake with many geese and a few ducks. They didn't bother us. There is a walking trail around the small lake with several places to stop and look. There is a butterfly place, picnic tables, small water fountain the kids can get wet in, flowers, and a lot of shade. It is worth a visit. Take your food and anjoy a relaxing picnic or just drive through.
