Heavenly Park

We had just left Black Mesa State Park (horrible), so I was apprehensive about spending another two days in a dump. This park seemed like heaven! It was so very nice, clean, and well manicured. We stayed in the Whitetail section with FULL hookups, shade trees, cement patio table, level site, walking trails, ample trash bins and dump stations. It was quiet, except for the occasional train whistle from nearby Woodward. You have a great opportunity there for getting groceries, camping supplies or doing laundry here. We did not use the bath house. There is a nice park office and visitor center and pavilion with interesting facts on the wildlife, birds, and plants in the park that is in tip top shape. We had a great stay and would highly recommend.

    One Of Our Favorite Parks
This park is perfect! Great location as it is 6 miles from Woodard, OK for all your camping and non-camping needs (restaurants). It's quiet, well maintained, sites are level, large and some have full hookups and cement slabs and tables. Any size rig/tent are welcome. They have great day use areas and even a swimming pool. Bath house in the Whitetail section is new and very modern. We had a wonderful 3rd time stay here and hope to return soon. Note to Campers: PLEASE don't litter and pick up any trash when leaving to preserve the beauty of this park.

    Stop to see the turtles!
Was a little disappointed that there was a fee to visit the park, but it was worth it in the end. We walked one of the trails and wished we had chosen a different one. We drove around and found a waterfall close to the pool. There were a ton of turtles and my girls loved that!
