4.5Zandvoort aan Zee(931 reviews) - Lovely nudist beach Wednesday: 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM Beaches
Went here for the first time mainly for the beach. Even though it was late in the season, I did manage to get 4 days out of 8 on the beach,at least for part of the day. The beach is super clean with plenty of space. The pavilions were all closing down for the winter and only Havana at the start and Fosfor, the furthest one, were still open. I was surprised how many people were on the nudist part, some of them even in the water, but it was good to have some freedom after all the travel restrictions over the last couple of years.See more..
4.5Strand Egmond aan Zee(405 reviews) - Wonderful also in October Spent More than 3 hours Beaches
Just 9 km west from Alkmaar is the quiet sandy beach of Egmond. Perhaps the atmosphere is more relaxed because it is further away from the densely populated areas of Holland. No garbage here or noisy bars, clean water. I combined a visit to the beach with a cycling tour from Alkmaar station and chose a day without much wind. The dunes, green meadows and historic villages in the hinterland are wonderful.See more..
Was here on holiday, it was so beautiful to see the view from the top and this is a must do if you are on the island for a few days, on a clear day it is breathtaking especially if you are able to climb the stairs to the top.See more..
We spent three days in this beautiful area of Holland. The beach is very well kept and extremely clean. Lovely soft sand. A great beach for surfing and surf kiting . Some parts of the beach dogs are allowed depending what time of year it is. There are a few cafes on the beach but sadly the majority were closed whilst we were there in October. Certainly worth a visit.See more..

4.5Westeinderplassen(46 reviews) - Biggest body of inland water in the Netherlands Spent 2-3 hours Bodies of Water • Beaches • Nature & Wildlife Areas
Had a great day on the lake, boating with former colleagues. Watching planes go to and from Schiphol. The Westeinderplassen actually is the biggest body of inland water in the Netherlands. Something I didn’t know, myself. We had a lot of fun exploring all the small islands, moats and inlets around the lake. Ice place to relax and have fun sailing or boating!See more..

4.5Bloemendaal Beach(23 reviews) - Wonderful beach just a bike ride from Haarlem Beaches
We biked from Haarlem to Bloemendaal aan Zee twice during our stay in Haarlem. Loved the beach, which was much less crowded than Zandvoort, and enjoyed a great meal at San Blas. Recommend biking through the Zuid-Kennemerland national park or, for a longer bike ride, look up the Haarlem Dunes Cycle Route (40 km) which will take you a more meandering way to the coast via some more rural areas with animals, windmills, and even the ruins of a castle...goes through the national park as you get closer to the beach.See more..
4.5IJmuiden Strand(14 reviews) - The beaches at IJmuiden aan Zee Spent More than 3 hours Beaches
The beaches at IJmuiden aan Zee can be reached by bus from Amsterdam Sloterdijk railway station and Haarlem railway station.A scenic bike-ride through the nature reserve"Kennemer Duinen"is a great way to enjoy the various sights of this area. The large industrial complex "Hoogovens" is just north of the beaches, the view towards the south is more scenic.See more..
This fabulous wide sandy beach was virtually deserted when we visited at the end of August, the sea is shallow, so perfect for paddling and swimming. We didn't notice any lifeguards, but that may be because we were there at the end of the season. There are 2 restaurants with toilets for a nominal charge. We visited the 1st one on the slipway down to the beach and tried to place an order at the side window, but the 3 lads in the kitchen were busy eating their fries and ignored us so we left, so can't comment on their food. There is plenty of parking for bicycles, but cars must park by the road, a good 10 minute walk away, although there is a regular shuttle bus for 1 euro per person if you have lots of luggage or mobility difficulties.See more..
4.5Badstrand Hargen aan Zee(10 reviews) - Escape the crowd at this beautiful and super large beach Wednesday: 12:00 AM - 11:59 PM Spent More than 3 hours Beaches
Ride here through the beautiful dunes. At the end of the track you find a large parking place where there is always space, even on the busiest days of the year. As soon as you enter the beach you will see that it is very wide and very easy to find a place. If you walk a few hundred meters further you will have the beach almost to yourself. At the beach entrance there is a restaurant and a lifeguard station. Further to the south you can find a catamaran and a windsurf club. The locals are friendly to strangers and gladly help you get going if you want to have fun on the water. You have to bring your own gear though!See more..
