   After meeting Jasper, one of the family members, at a retailer in De Koog we visited the brewery in Den Burg. We were received by Marinka, hoe twin sister. Since we were the only people at the moment she introduced the brewery to us, told us the history and gave information about the beers when she served the taste glasses. Since it was a Thursday, no tour was planned. But when a group Germans arrived her father did a tour which we joined. All was done in a very enthusiastic way, with passion for the process, the ingredients and the product. It turned out to be a very educational and entertaining afternoon with the family Diks, who are so enthusiatic about their tasteful beers. See more..

   My work coleague took us to Stadsbrouwerij Helderse Jongens one evening after a very long work day. The location is a bit out of town, along a canal. The inside looks like several connected wartiime bunkers and the decor is very well done. We all had burgers and fries and although they ended up to be pretty sloppy to eat, they were very tasty and the portions very large. I liked both beers I had and look forward to returning one day and tasting their other creations. I found the price very reasonable - very good value for money!! See more..

We are making our own local beer top fermented beer and strong liquors which are also served in the brewpub. We also serve wine and non-alcoholic for the ones who are not fond off beer.
