The famous dutch designer and architect Jan des Bouvries turned this 18th Century military’s store house for weaponry info a center with design studio’s and shops and in the middle of the place a Nice place for lunch, coffee , tea and drinks. The Arsenaal is situated in the fortfied city of Naarden-Vesting close to Amsterdam which has a Unesco Heritage status and is very much worth visiting because of its museums and history. There are many old buildings and fortificaties to visit. But it is also a town with fine restaurants like Aquavite, Fines, Arsenaal and nice pubs like Demmers en De Doelen. Naarden-Vesting is Holland in a nutshell and worth a day’s visit and more relaxed than overcrowded Amsterdam.See more..

A well laid out underground Art centre with a wide variety of artefacts to suit the taste of most people. I’m unable to upload those photos I wanted to show you. Sorry for that yet I think you will really enjoy visiting this centre. The tranquility of the centre is a welcome break from the noisy world, while you wander and enjoy this experience. It’s only open weekends and it’s free to enter. I visit here around five or six times a year. The new exhibition started today. See more..

Wir kamen ohne große Erwartungen zur Galerie und waren vollkommen begeistert von diesem Ort! Schon die Rapa Nui Skulptur im Vorgarten übt große Faszination aus. Die Galerie mit den Arbeiten des sehr freundlichen Künstlerpaares ist eine wahre Augenweide! Hier zeigt sich einmal mehr, dass Kunst eben doch von Können kommt. Auch der kleine Garten ist ein Traum, bestückt mit den Skulpturen der Künstlerin wirkt er ein wenig wie ein Märchenland. Der Besuch der Eiland-Galerij hat uns nachhaltig beeindruckt!See more..

In het verstilde dorp Westzaan kwam ik bij kunstgalerie Staphorsius, Een mooie galerie met veel ruimte voor de tentoongestelde werken, zit-hoekjes en ruime parkeergelegenheid. Binnen genoot ik volop van de tentoongestelde werken, . In Kunstgalerie Staphorsius zie je ''geen eendagsvliegen'', zoals eigenaar Rob Staphorsius het noemt. Uiterst zorgvuldig kiest hij zijn kunstenaars uit door de namen te noteren van werken die hem raken. Pas als hij ze daarna nog een keer in een andere galerie of expositie ziet, nodigt hij hen uit. Zo ook voor de expositie ''Zonder Haast'' (te zien tot en met 23 september) met stillevens van o.a. Jos Anraad en Hub Pollen.See more..

Geuren van verschillende bloemen op kan doen en alle glazen producten en houten tuinmeubels uit Finland kan bewonderen en uitproberen.
