   It was used to be estates, Bosbeek - Groenendal long time ago. The part of Groenendal is open for public as a walking area or recreation area. It's quite big and green. There are different walking routes such as red, yellow, blue, Cultural-historical and countryside path. The yellow one is also for unleash dog. So be carreful when you take this shortest route (1,5 km) as you can step on dog poo. There is also a monument of 1940-1945 and a jewish monument.    Although it was windy and a typical Dutch drizzle rain was coming down, we decided to make a stroll through the park. We were not disappointed!    I should definitely return. Late february is too early, but you can see the start of many a bulb flower starting to pop out. I am wondering wether in summer this will be extremely crowded, since it is not that big and already now there were quite some people. Therefore I did not rate it as excellent.    The Miracle of Muiderberg, that is what you read on the information board. It's a small part in the middel of the wood, not far from the beach and you will be in the middle of the echo area. The echo garden is located behind a small door with a hart. The echo come from the ground and it was found by the gardeners in 1613 but they thought that was something to do with ghost. Finally they found that it's a special ground that give equal echo and built a semi-circular wall to amplify the sound of the echo. There was some points, marked by ears on both side of the end of the wall and from those points you can make a sound or better clap your hands and you will hear the equal echo perfectly. The wood self is not beautiful but this echo garden is one of a kind. See more..
