4.5Rijksmuseum Schiphol(175 reviews) - Stunning! Wednesday: 12:00 AM - 11:59 PM Art Museums
Every visit to the Rijksmuseum is delightful. The artwork is endlessly facinating, particularly the Rembrandts. Whereas some smaller museums in Amsterdam limit visiters due to space restrictions, the Rijksmuseum is so large that this is rarely necessary. This is of course a wonderful choice on a day with bad weather! The giftshop should not be missed. See more..

4.0Zandvoorts Museum(14 reviews) - Small museum. Interesting but not geared for English tourists Spent < 1 hour Speciality Museums • Art Museums • History Museums
We visited this small museum last week. It was quite interesting but had very little information in English except a short video which gave the history of the place. Quite a lot (too much) of the 'museum' was given over to an art exhibition about gay pride. No problem with that but not sure we would have paid to go in if we had realised that quite so much of the museum was, in reality, an art space.See more..

It's worth the trip out here to Het Hem. Just because of the historical element is reason enough. But, after getting on the ferry, having a little look at the latest curated exhibition and then getting a snack at the cafe, everything is right with the world. There is music and stuff for kids, a great reading table and a view of merchant barges. What's not to like?See more..
4.5Kunstfort(4 reviews) - Great art exhibitions! Wednesday: Art Museums
Off the beaten path yet easily accessible by public transport or car from Amsterdam or Haarlem, the fort is surrounded by beautiful Dutch landscape (and sheep walking around freely). Kunstfort is a historical site combined with very well curated contemporary art exhibitions. Our last visit was during an opening event last summer during which we also got a taste of the food they have to offer (great!). If the weather is pleasant I do recommend cycling to the Kunstfort (1h ride from Amsterdam).See more..

5.0Eiland Galerij(3 reviews) - Traumhafter Ort auf Texel! Wednesday: 10:30 AM - 5:00 PM Spent 1-2 hours Art Galleries • Art Museums • History Museums
See more..
