We try and visit the libraries of places we visit on vacation. The OBA is clean, bright, open. We were impressed with the amount of people utilizing the library~young mom's with storytellers, college students and work groups. The restaurant on the top floor looked delicious, unfortuently, we were not hungry. The OBA is worth a visit while in Amsterdam. 10 minutes from the Central Station/boat docks. See more..

This feast is located a short walk from the Centraal Station and is not to be missed. Each floor is bright and is a delight to see and learn from. The children's section on the ground floor is out-of-this-world..and the restaurant on the top floor not only offers fresh and delicious food, but also a worth while view of the city. Before the opening of the library, there was a program in the morning, so we intended to come back in the afternoon. It's a quiet and a cool place to pass the time with more information about the city, Since my husband was interested on something, I wandered around while i waited.
