This was a great tour showing us the mills, there operation and the manufacture of clogs and of course the salesroom at the end. Very enjoyable on a cool day. Each of the people explaining there role was very good and explained in Dutch and English. Toilets are few and far between so make a judgement call. Cost was 1 Euro so have a few coins handy. There is walking so have comfortable shoes. We also had a ferry to Volendam to see waffles made, cheese manufacture and lunch. Time to wander the waterfront and get lunch was also provided till we meet our bus for the return trip See more..

Er is een rustig smal bakstenen pad rond het voormalige eiland Marken .De typische Markerwoningen staan geconcentreerd dicht bij elkaar op werven;hogere delen die minder snel onder water kwamen te staan.Bij Rozenwerf is een mooie zwemplek met helder water tussen de houten ijsbrekers.Er zijn ook fietsers die het mooie pad rond het eiland fietsen op het smalle paadje.Ik vond het leuk ook het rustige deel van het eiland te leren kennen. At the start of a Castles on the Rhine Riverboat Cruise, we had just 1 day to see Amsterdam. Having been here before, we decided that seeing the countryside would be interesting. We were wrong! It was exhilarating! We met our tour guide not too far from our hotel in the city, received a needed safety review, saddled up on our electric bikes and exited the city but not without a few stops at interesting landmarks. Our leader, Titia, was everything you want in a guide. We didn't want the 4 hour tour to end! We glided through farm fields, rode on dams and had the best apple pie ever. If you go to Amsterdam and you want to see it from the y eyes of a local, an electric bike tour with Titia is the way to to it! See more..
