The sauna and bath parts are great. But the food is really not the best at all! Tastes like food from a fast food restaurant. I had e.g. a poke bowl. The rice was way too dry to eat with chopsticks and the radishes were wading old. It should be sushi rice! Another time I had the carpaccio salad. The added sundried tomatoes were so overpowering that you couldn't taste the carpaccio anymore. Both times it was not worth the money at all! If the taste was fine I wouldn't mind paying € 16 () for something like that. Next time I‘ll eat somewhere else!See more..

In visiting the Netherlands, we were keen to visit an authentic (as against a touristy) sauna/spa and the one at Den Ilp surpassed our expectations. We seemed to be the only non-Dutch people there but we were made very welcome. There was an excellent range of hot and cool rooms, a very relaxed pace, plenty of space both indoor and outdoor, and an attractive restaurant. When entering we did wonder what exactly we had booked! It is basically a house converted into a kind of a spa. We were met by the owner, Fred who was very charming and spent 4 hours there being completely spoiled. All the treatments were of a high quality and the staff were excellent. Naturally you can complain about this place because of the looks but when you are paying such a low price, what do you expect? We loved it and will return. See more..
