Highlight of our trip to the Netherlands
In visiting the Netherlands, we were keen to visit an authentic (as against a touristy) sauna/spa and the one at Den Ilp surpassed our expectations. We seemed to be the only non-Dutch people there but we were made very welcome. There was an excellent range of hot and cool rooms, a very relaxed pace, plenty of space both indoor and outdoor, and an attractive restaurant. The Aufguß was sensational and people were kind enough to explain what was happening and, more importantly, what was about to happen.

An oasis for relaxation
Today my partner and I stayed at this beautiful spa. It was recommended to us by our friends in Amsterdam. The spa is modern, customer friendly and perfectly maintained. The only point for improvement would be food. We ordered sandwiches at lunch time. The bread was of average quality (supermarket style). At a place like that one expects something more special, at least freshly baked bread from a local bakery. What’s more, we also tried a chocolate cake. It wasn’t fresh and tasted rather artificial. All in all, we give the spa 4 out 5 stars. We will certainly return as we felt very welcomed.

Misleading online shop
According to the website you can purchase vouchers online instantly, but in reality nothing is automated, no-one is available to process orders over the weekend, and the establishment is not even reachable by telephone. What an archaic way of doing business!
