Fun Experience
Make sure to buy tickets online, when you arrive to the building you are asked to buy them online if you have not already done so. The tour is self guided so you can go at your own pace. They really did a nice job in making the entire experience. Certainly the best part is the tasting!

Like a Disneyland Experience for Beer
There is so much going on here and if you're a fan of beer or interested in Heineken's history this is worth a visit. The Heineken Experience is like no other beer tour I've been too but with more emphasis on the experience than the facts. You have to queue up to enter and a tour guide takes you in to give you an introduction complete with a 4D simulation of barley. They then set you free to explore the space on your own. We went in December so all parts of the experience were looking festive with garland by the copper vessels and Christmas trees throughout. It is best to spend some time to learn some facts about Heineken's history and ingredients because before you "become beer" the staff will ask the waiting groups questions to win some small Heineken prizes. My wife and I each got a question right and got a couple of Heineken pins. The "becoming beer" experience is interesting with a room where all the ingredients are combined on screens around you, a separate room with a pretty impressive 3D bottling plant show and a Heineken party room that is like the projections on fields or hockey arena ice. After you get through the three "becoming beer" rooms you get a small glass of beer and get to do cheers with the host. The tour continues with a photobooth, music room, sports area and then finally the Dam bar where you finally get a couple of beers with the pins from the wrist band you got at the beginning. There is an area where you can design your own Heineken bottle (AKA put your name or a dirty word on it) and a pretty impressive souvenir shop. We went with the regular ticket and felt it was worth it. If you are taking in all the areas of the Heineken Experience do expect to spend about 1.5 hours here from putting your items in free lockers to finishing your two beers. I'm sure the other experiences are well executed as well because they have many enthusiastic and knowledgeable staff here.
