Fantastic, even on a windy winters day!
I've now returned several times to the beautiful beach in Castricum, and it never disappoints! Despite the weather being very cold and windy, it was still quite busy on the beach with walkers, cyclists, kite surfers and people visiting the permanent cafes. I was very lucky to have seen a mass beaching of star fish, and I was also present for the annual New Year's Day swim..... during which hundreds of mad people strip down to their swimmers and hurtle along the beach to throw themselves into the icy water!

Stunning beach
We love this beach as it is so not commercial and yet has some delightful restaurants aned bars as well as quaint beach houses The beach is also beautiful.
