4.0Laurita Winery(301 reviews) - Pasta Night Thursday: 12:00 PM - 9:00 PM Spent More than 3 hours Wineries & Vineyards
*Please Note, there ARE applicable admission fees to our many festivals, but there is no fee on non-event days to come and enjoy the winery. Laurita Winery is a sustainable alternative, linked to the local area through tradition, culture and respect for its natural resources. Our estate grown wines are nature's purest expression of vineyard, varietal and vintage, reflecting old world traditions and the vision of wine's place at the table as a complement to food. To sip our wines, which make the case for elegance and finesse over size and power, is to savor the freshness of taste of grapes at their source. Located in the Outer Coastal Plain American Viticultural Area (AVA) in central New Jersey, the winery is committed to creating wines that derive as much character from the fruit as possible. As responsible stewards of the land, we devote ourselves to the intensive care of the vines and grapes when thinning and pruning, hand harvesting and processing. During the wine production stage, we are committed to preserving the fruit as the heart of the wine. Laurita, with its structure and interior built mostly from recycled or reclaimed materials, is also an eco destination. The skeleton of the building, which dictated the size of the winery which is 20,000 square feet, was formed through the merging of two 150 year old barns that had been destined for demolition. The winery utilizes solar systems to produce clean energy for heat, hot water, steam, cooling and refrigeration. The landscaping surrounding the winery emphasizes the value of water retention and conservation as does the method by which the vineyards are irrigated. Johnson and Shea have preserved and enhanced the existing natural environment with the intent of providing habitat for wildlife including birds, mammals and amphibians. The view from the winery and its gently graduating slopes of terraces, pergolas and wide lawns is one of 40 fully cultivated acres of neatly planted linear rows of vineyards and 200...See more..
We were going to be in the vicinity of this farm, so we booked two tickets online to visit the Pumpkin Patch. It happened to be on the same weekend for their Fall Festival, so it was packed with lots of people with families. Luckily, there is also tons of parking available. After walking around for a bit in those massive crowds, we decided to call it quits, but before leaving, we stopped at the Farm Store to pick up our favorite Apple Cider Donuts, Sugar Cookies, a Pumpkin Pie, and some pretty Gourds for decorating. A word of caution: Due to their COVID protocols, you will only be allowed to enter with a pre-booked ticket. So, make sure to check on the availability before driving up here. You can buy tickets in person only if there are no crowds, and no lines. We are glad to have come prepared. Will return next year.See more..

Located in the charming Smithville Village, the Tomasello tasting room is attractive, with pretty displays and their large selection of wine. They observe all protocols for tasting and the space is large enough to socially distance. We particularly like their sweet wines in the Rainier collection; red, white and rose. They produce a seasonal spiced wine, with a very pretty label. Staff is friendly and accommodating.See more..
My husband and I visited this delightful winery when they were newly opened from the COVID pandemic shutdown. It was wonderful sitting safely outdoors, sharing wine tastings and enjoying the delicious food offerings with a dear friend. We returned this summer and reserved one of the cabanas for slightly more comfortable seating. It was an even better experience, as we had a choice of couches and armchairs to sit upon, and there were drapes that we could have closed for privacy. However, we opted to keep them open to allow the fresh breeze to come through. We were a little farther from the live music than is optimal for listening, but we received attentive service. Again, the wine tastings and the food were very pleasing. And this time we had the good fortune to find we were seated next to some friends (a former work colleague and spouse), who were also enjoying a lovely day.See more..

I love Beneduce Vineyards, every year we go at least once, we been there for birthday, father’s Day and hang out with friends and family. You can bring your own food (we always do that) but if you don’t want it, there is a different food truck every time, they have life music, fire pit and tables and umbrellas. Depends of the time you go you can bring children. Now the wine is Very Good, they have variety, you pay $3 per wine glass that you can bring home with you but if you don’t want to buy it you can bring your own from home, I always take my family glasses home they are good quality. The place es very clean and friendly staff. Now that we are facing covid19 they have to limit the amount of people so you have to call and reserve a spot to make sure you are going to get in. Super recommended See more..
4.0Heritage Vineyard(82 reviews) - An excellent place to go for a taste and some bottles Thursday: 10:00 AM - 6:00 PM Spent 1-2 hours Wineries & Vineyards
We visited the winery while visiting friends in Glassboro. It was a beautiful sunny afternoon so the place was busy but we had excellent service at the tasting bar from Danielle. All four of us did the Classic wines tasting which progressed from a cuvée blanc to a Chambourcin. As dry wine fanatics we loved this tasting. It was only $16 and we learned a lot about the grapes and the blends as we went through each tasting. The Syrah was amazing! Then two friends got the self-guided Reserve wine taster flight which was presented in this lovely tower of wine glasses. We got the charcuterie and cheese board and found a seat outside close to the chicken coop with a great view of the grapevines. The price per bottle ranges from $16 to $50 and if we lived in the area I would definitely consider joining their wine club. Next time we visit we want to do the tour of the property, which we were told happens on Sundays at 1:00 and 3:00.See more..

Visited this sweet little winery a few weeks back...busy Saturday afternoon. The duo, Unplugged Lights, were playing- very, very good. Went with the intention of using a Groupon... service was not bad but could have used one more person...upgraded the tasting in order to taste more wines (they offer a number of specialty wines - more interested in dry reds/limited here.) Walked away liking one of the reds and one of the whites... kitchen offers nice snacks. A nice afternoon.See more..

Quaint winery set in horse country. The wine server was very friendly and engaging. Dog friendly outside the tasting room. 10 tastings for 10. I only needed 2 to make a choice. The Riesling was bright and slightly sweet. Sturdy Adirondack chairs around tables. Charming outdoor sitting areas outside. I visited on Monday Juneteenth and was surprised at the number of people there at 3pm. Ample parking Left with 4 bottles of wine. Definitely will return to taste the other wine selections.See more..

3.5Fox Hollow Vineyards(51 reviews) - Ok music for an evening, so-so wine Spent 1-2 hours Wineries & Vineyards
I sometimes go when they have outdoor live music and the weather is good. They have food and wine by the glass. So it can be a pleasant afternoon/evening. I don't think the music has ever been great but it has been fun. The wine is not great but is mostly drinkable. My biggest complaint, and the reason I did not give 5 stars is they don't let you buy the wine by the bottle. I personally have never seen that at any winery I have been to. I realize they make more money this way but come on.See more..

To make great wines you need a few key ingredients. Naturally, things like good soil, healthy vines, sunlight, plentiful grapes and good barrels are all necessary. However, truly great wines require something more --something our family has cultivated alongside our 70 acres of premium varietals since 1933 --hard work and passion. Founded over 78 years ago by our grandfather, we are the third generation of Tomasellos to build upon his great vision. Not only through dedicating our lives to growing and producing excellent wines that are a true expression of the Outer Coastal Plain --a historically celebrated American wine growing region, but by bringing our wines closer to your families with four elegant tasting rooms and gift shops throughout the great Garden State. There is a saying in the wine business that "great wines are made in the vineyard." We would like to take that a step beyond and say that: Yes, great wines are made at our vineyard, but it is the celebrations, the gatherings, the good times with family and friends that makes a wine even greater. Thank you for your continued love of our wines and loyalty. As our family grows, and our children learn the ways of the vineyard, we look forward to a place at your table for generations to come.See more..

It's one of the few wineries that you can taste the product for free. The winery is set on a beautiful property just northwest an downhill from High Point, New Jersey Tucked in one of the barns is a warm, rustic tasting room. I arrived shortly after 12 pm to find people already in the tasting room. It was a wonderful fall day. Two friendly and efficient women were serving. The place filled up fast but they kept up with the serving and answering questions. You get to sample 8 wines from a collection of over 20. I liked the apple cinnamon and cranberry wines. It's the fall and they appealed to me. If it was summer I would have bought two bottles from their white wine selection of (Riesling, Chardonnay or Grigio. Check their website for 10% discount coupons. If you email them they will also send you a %10 discount. IDuring the summer you can bring your own picnic basket and use their property. We celebrated my birthday at this winery and had a great time. The view of the vineyard was beautiful. The Cabernet Franc was a nice red. The line to order wine was simply too long. The line extended out to the parking lot. There should have been a better system in place for ordering . There was only one person at the window taking orders. There should have been a second person helping to expedite. I like the fact that you can bring your own food and it’s pet friendly.See more..
3.5Summit City Farms & Winery(25 reviews) - My vote for best local wine in Gloucester County Spent 1-2 hours Wineries & Vineyards • Farms
Summit is hidden away on a little street in Glassboro Lehigh Ave. I make wine, 400 gallons a year and think my wine is pretty good. My wife and I go to wineries for a day out fairly often. Of all the local Gloucester county wineries, Summit has the best tasting wine. We really like their Cab Franc. Regarding the facility, the facility is smaller and really nice. It's decorated with knotty pine planks that looks great. The staff has regularly been nice, and they have events. The price is ~$20 a bottle which is normal for the region. They don't serve food, for a meal, but they have snacks here and there. One of the snacks is garlic pretzels that are truly amazing and they're free. 4.5Autumn Lake Winery(14 reviews) - MY NEW FAVORITE PLACE! Thursday: 12:00 PM - 5:00 PM Spent 1-2 hours Wineries & Vineyards
With vineyards established in 2012 and the small winery that followed, Autumn Lake Winery was born with the singular ambition of creating wines of superior quality from grapes grown on our own cultivation. Our clay and gravel-laced soils provide the ultimate conditions for wine grapes. Grown above the lakes where little else can flourish, all of our vines enjoy a view of the water. It provides cold weather moderation and warm weather breezes, perfect for slow and steady ripening. Part science, part nature and part passion, good wine is made in the vineyard. You may choose to pack a lunch and enjoy an afternoon overlooking the lakes, forests and vineyards. Stroll the miles of walking trails and take in the natural beauty and perhaps spot some of the native wildlife. Or you can simply have a tasting or purchase wine. Follow along with us on Facebook and Instagram @autumnlakewinery to watch us grow, and stay updated with our events schedule and wine trail weekend hours.See more..
4.0Coda Rossa Winery(12 reviews) - Another South Jersey winery. Wineries & Vineyards
This vineyard exists since 2002 but we just discovered it recently. The winery is open for tours and tastings on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays only. The tasting is $5 per person and for this price you can taste 6 wines. They have wines made from South Jersey grapes and from California grapes. Their Neve white wine tastes good, they produce surprising Sweet Jane, their reds: Coeur d'Est , Ameritage , Meritage seem relatively good. The gentleman host in charge of the tasting was very brief and to the point when we asked him to tell us something more about their winery he stated " we are winery and we make wine" . Well, we got over the unusually cold reception and after a successful tasting bought some of their wines. What is of great interest to many is that with Coda Rosa's sister company -as they call it - they can help you produce your own wine. The information can be obtained in the winery.See more..

Our tasting was most enjoyable and relaxing. The wines are of excellent quality and taste and are reasonably priced. Will definitely visit again when in the area.See more..

Then in the summer enjoy the outside patio as you sip a glass of wine and enjoy the breeze that comes over the fields. A must stop on the list of wineries in South Jersey. 5.0Terra Nonno Winery(4 reviews) - Great atmosphere and friendly staff. Spent 2-3 hours Wineries & Vineyards
My friends and I left a nearby winery due to them having a specified time slot, which is totally understandable due to social distancing and future reserved guests. However, we wanted to continue our wine venture. My friend visited here prior and suggested this location. We had called an hour before to inquire if we can make a reservation. They were accommodating and was able to fit us in. As we arrived we were welcomed by the friendly staff and seated promptly. I had the rosé slushie and a carafe of sangria. It was absolutely phenomenal! Live music was entertaining and great wings from the food truck. Did not feel rushed to leave at all. Will definitely visit again! See more..
5.0Mount Salem Vineyards(4 reviews) - They Treat You Like Family Spent 1-2 hours Wineries & Vineyards
If Mount Salem Vineyards were to adopt a tagline, it should be this: Mount Salem - we treat you like family! It was a frigid March day when we arrived at their Pittstown, NJ tasting room where we were greeted by a sign that re-directed us to the farmhouse instead. Once inside, we were immediately seated at a long dining room table in front of a roaring fireplace along with other wine enthusiasts. This was not your usual pour, sip, now pay me and leave wine tasting - the staff couldn't have been more welcoming, taking their time between pours and giving full history of each wine. When I informed them that I wasn't into dry wines, the hostess simply poured me a semi-sweet Triaminette (crisp, fruity and very nice) to sip while my hubby delved into the drys. Mount Salem's casual atmosphere, the lively banter among our fellow wine tasters and the friendly staff ensured that a good time was had by all.See more..

5.0The Vintner's Wife(1 review) - Local Wine Tasting Spent < 1 hour Wineries & Vineyards We received a Groupon for Christmas for Wine and Chocolate tasting for 2. We went on a Friday. First I would like to say we wanted to eat before we got there since it was around 6 pm. We ate at a local diner unknowing The Vintners Wife also serves food! When we came in, the women there were very friendly and a young lady took care of us immediately. My first impression was what a great cozy little place for people to relax and have a quick bite , cheese and browse among great little off the wall items that you just must have. All kinds of jams, honeys, chocolate and wine to name a few. They brought over the chocolate on a board and on the board was the name of the wine to be served with that piece of chocolate.I have never done this kind of a wine tasting and both my husband and myself enjoyed it. The young lady brought each wine separately and explained in full detail the taste of the wine. We were able to buy the wine there. There was no pressure to hurry and they gave us plenty of time in between tastings until they brought the next wine. After your tasting browse, browse, browse they have some nice items for saleSee more..
