4.5Sayen House and Gardens(119 reviews) - Beautiful garden hidden right in the heart of Hamilton Square Gardens
Beautiful little hidden hidden gem right in Hamilton Square. A great place to get some socially-distanced fresh air in a beautiful setting. There's a good reason why EVERY photographer in town uses this place for wedding/prom/family photo sessions, you can't help but to wander straight into beautiful backdrop after beautiful backdrop. Tons of well maintained walking trails that meander all throughout the property. Most of it is very well shaded, so it's even tolerable on hot days. Tons of benches and open areas make it great place for a picnic or takeout lunch location. There's also the Sayen House on property, which I presume can be rented for private events. I've never been inside, so I can't speak to that, but the landscaping surrounding it is lovely. Sayen Gardens aren't anywhere near as massive as Grounds for Sculpture a few miles away, but the $0 entry fee more than makes up for that.See more..

4.5Brookdale Park(90 reviews) - A good place to walk your kids Spent 1-2 hours Parks • Gardens • Playgrounds
This park does not have ducks and geese, so the grass is clean. Plus, many huge trees provide a lot shade. The rose garden is small but beautiful. Unleashed dogs are limited in a dogs park in the Brookdale park. If you are looking for somewhere to enjoy sunny weekends with kids, this definitely is a perfect park. I personally recommend the grass near the rose garden.See more..
4.5Deep Cut Gardens(73 reviews) - Wonderful place for a leisurely stroll Thursday: 10:00 AM - 4:00 PM Gardens
I have been coming to DCG for many years and each time I come, I always find it relaxing and refreshing. Not only are they beautiful flowers and lovely trees and bushes, there are also fish in the Koi pond (& maybe turtles) & frogs in the natural pond. I often take walks and sometimes just sit a while on many of the benches. They have recently added pathways behind the rose garden/gazebo and added more benches.See more..
Beautiful - hundreds of irises and dozens of varieties. Parking is available on the street in front of the gardens. There are benches available for resting. Plent of room for social distancing between the rows of irises. Well worth the visit. Great for photography. There are also port-o-potties available.See more..

4.0Stony Hill Farms(44 reviews) - Excellent Thursday: 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM Farms • Gardens
So much fun! We visited Stony Hill Farms today and had an excellent experience. The apples were delicious, the orchards are very well maintained and all the trees have accessible apples that can be easily picked. We purchased the geneal admission and it was appropriate for a family of older kids. Love the town of Chester. Great main street with shopping and plenty of places to eat as well. 5 stars!See more..
Located in downtown Morristown, N.J., Macculloch Hall has been part of the local community for over 200 years, first as the home to community-minded residents, George and Louisa Macculloch (1775-1858, 1785-1863), and since 1950, as a not-for-profit museum and garden. Founder W. Parsons Todd (1877-1976) endowed MHHM as a resource for all Morristown and Morris County residents. A Federal brick mansion, Macculloch Hall was built in 1810 by George Perrott Macculloch (1775-1858), the "Father of the Morris Canal." Today this historic house and decorative arts museum comprises nine period rooms, two exhibition galleries, a dedicated classroom, and an expansive formal garden, which is open to the public free of charge.See more..
My husband and I enjoyed walking around this peaceful spot. The mansion is no longer there but a cute stone cottage and old barn are still standing. The flower garden this time of year is not colorful but in a few months it will be so beautiful! The grounds are well kept and there is easy access to the canal trail.See more..
I stopped by to check it out and was pleasantly surprised!! Though the weather was cold, I was able to watch the bird/geese activity through large picture windows in the observatory - it was awesome! There is a variety of turtles, snakes, little creatures in the observatory to see. Great place for small kids. I'm sure the grounds must be really nice in spring/summer weather. I did get to see a deer family wake up and start their day!!See more..

I ordered a basket for Valentine's Day for my wife, which was beautifully done and delivered to my house. My wife was ecstatic. They included a local honey, Tea, a soft cozy blanket, a pillow that you heat up ,a candle and chocolates from J. Emanuel Chocolatier! Crazy good stuff. She is still enjoying it. Job well done. You must go inside the main building, the woodwork is beautiful, the displays are done so tastefully and the aroma is so nice.
