    This is more of a community park than battlefield. There's a few signs about the war in New Jersey, the position of the American artillery, and the tree General Mercer was laid under after being mortally wounded. There wasn't any signage showing the American position, British position, the area where the fighting occured, or where Mercer was attacked. Most people weren't there to study history, they were there to enjoy the open field. Built a visitor center and offer tours to make this place top notch. See more..

    We picked this place because it has an NPS Passport Stamp (Crossroads of the American Revolution), but there's more to it than that. Volunteer was informative describing what happened here (British massacre of Americans, including Tories) and of challenge in maintaining the historic structure. No photos allowed inside. May have to go across street to park office if site is open but door is locked. Recommended if you like history. See more..
