*Hours subject to change* Competitive axe throwing is a well known Canadian past time that's becoming increasingly popular in the United States. Simply put, it's like playing a game of darts, except with axes! At Bury The Hatchet you'll experience the thrill of launching an axe at a wooden target in a safe and fun environment. You and your best mates will spend two hours becoming intimate with a 1.5lb piece of whirling wood and metal as you learn, practice, and then finally square off toe-to-toe in a group tournament.See more..

3.0Diamond Nation(43 reviews) - A lot of fun, don’t listen to the terrible reviews ! Spent More than 3 hours Sports Complexes
We have a tournament at Diamond Nation last weekend. It was frikkin FREEZING COLD but that had absolutely nothing to do with the facility itself. Yes, I had to pay $5 to get in. It’s $5- not the end of the world. The bathrooms were clean, there was plenty of tp, soap, etc. I brought in my wagon with two chairs, my large bag and a small cooler. Nobody searched me, or told me I couldn’t have anything that I had. I don’t know why the other reviews said it was like a shakedown- my experience was nothing like that. I had snacks with me, but my son was dying for funnel fries, so I bought regular fries, chicken fingers, funnel fries and two large hot chocolates the total was $19.50. Much less than a regular ballpark would be ! The fields were nice, the umpires were competent ( and efficient at sticking to timelines ! ) and it seemed to me that everyone was just there to watch their kids play baseball and have fun.See more..
4.5Sky Zone(25 reviews) - An experience I will definitely repeat Spent 1-2 hours Health Clubs • Sports Complexes
What an amazing experience this was. I figured that the kids would keep themselves busy for maybe an hour or so but after 3 hours, they didn’t want to leave. They have all kinds of different areas to make the jumping a different experience for the kids. I will definitely be back again.See more..

I've been to rock gyms all over the USA. This is one of the smaller ones, but has the nicest people. The grading is also on the tougher end (but still has plenty of beginner friendly options) so don't let your ego get too hurt. See more..

4.5Cedar Creek Sporting Clays(11 reviews) - Father/son first time shooting Sports Complexes My 18 yo son and I had a blast trying Sporting Clays for the first time at Cedar Creek. Gary was a friendly and knowledgeable instructor. The clays were operated by us electronically and was easy to use. Each station had cool variety amongst big trees. The shade was nice on our hot day. We had some success but we can’t wait to come back and improve. It was surprisingly addictive. I’m looking for my first shotgun now. See more..

Riverwinds is one of my regular places. This elaborate restaurant immediately makes you feel special. From the atmosphere to the welcoming and attentive staff you will not want for anything. I take my boys here Every Sunday to jump around, Play basketball, dodgeball , Rock climbing & so much more! My sons are 3 & 7. My 7 y/o can spend a whole hour playing basketball & it's really easy & convenient to have my 3 y/o go jumping to. The whole area is open & you can spot them if you put on a bright shirt LOL! They have the big foam pit I love! It's a great way to get them out & energy out of them. Since its not quite park weather yet, this is really the best place! The staff are so friendly & nice! If you only pay for you're kids, you can still jump (take off your shoes) no one will say anything. If you're aside you're child. You pay $35 for 1 hour for 2 kids. Why pay for yourself when you won't be jumping most of the time but just enjoying time with them. They don't care & I'm sure don't get paid enough too. LolSee more..

3.5The Gravity Vault(4 reviews) - Solid facility and staff Thursday: 12:00 PM - 10:00 PM Spent 2-3 hours Sports Complexes While visiting family in NJ, we stopped by on a Friday afternoon to check out the gym to see if my teen climber wanted to climb. Staff was friendly and gave us a full tour. My son chose to climb and got a good workout. They have a moonboard and a Lemur board, but my son could not get the apps to connect to them. The gym is well-lit and the floor plan is very open. Bouldering routes are spaced farther apart than we're used to, which I'm sure is a plus on days the gym is busy. There were only two other climbers there when we arrived. Later two moms and their young kids came. A staff member belayed the kids on the instructional wall. He was very patient and encouraging. At one point early on, a very young child got scared and wouldn't come down. Another staff member calmly and patiently instructed him on how to get down and then praised him for his success. The staff is great with kids.See more..

4.5Shi Stadium(3 reviews) - Written by a Penn State fan Spent More than 3 hours Sports Complexes
As the title states I was here for Penn State and was impressed. The concourses were a little narrow but easy to navigate. I had little trouble finding my seat. Despite being bleacher seating it was comfortable and each fan had a decent amount of space. Be ready for fireworks, cannons, and train horns. My only complaint is there were only two employees scanning tickets at the one gate. One more thing if you choose to park at Jersey Mike's Arena be ready to take a shuttle which will take another hour each way.See more..

We recently visited the Plainfield Curling Club for a corporate team building event. We had three instructors for the group of 9 -each had a slightly different style. All taught us the basics of curling and some facts, terms and techniques. Then we played a game. It is NOT easy but it is definitely fun. The salient point for us was the more we worked together the closer we came to getting the stone in the house. (Notice I don't mention scoring, as I am not sure we got a single point) Afterward we did a little broomstacking with some beverages.I do not think you can just drop in, but they do have open houses and you can certainly schedule an event.See more..
