    - Get the Cider and Donuts!
    Thursday: 9:30 AM - 6:00 PM Farms
    Delicious Orchards image
Some people do go to Delicious Orchards for their full grocery shopping, and yes… it’s pricey. BUT most people go for the donuts (and other baked goods), the cider and the amazing produce section. They also have an excellent butcher, cheese and coffee area along with normal staples. Every time I’m visiting NJ, I have to swing by DO for some of that cider and those donuts - it’s worth the trip! See more..

    Terhune Orchards & Winery image
We were going to be in the vicinity of this farm, so we booked two tickets online to visit the Pumpkin Patch. It happened to be on the same weekend for their Fall Festival, so it was packed with lots of people with families. Luckily, there is also tons of parking available. After walking around for a bit in those massive crowds, we decided to call it quits, but before leaving, we stopped at the Farm Store to pick up our favorite Apple Cider Donuts, Sugar Cookies, a Pumpkin Pie, and some pretty Gourds for decorating. A word of caution: Due to their COVID protocols, you will only be allowed to enter with a pre-booked ticket. So, make sure to check on the availability before driving up here. You can buy tickets in person only if there are no crowds, and no lines. We are glad to have come prepared. Will return next year. See more..

  6. 4.0 Johnson's Corner Farm (174 reviews)
    - Disappointed
    Thursday: 10:00 AM - 4:00 PM Farms
    Johnson's Corner Farm image
We have enjoyed Johnson’s since my kids were young. This year it was a disappointment. Despite having to pay in advance and have a scheduled time for event we waited in a very long line for 39 minutes before boarding the hay wagon. I believe they need to rethink their strategy moving people through. The animal discovery yard needs a big revamp, it is boring for the kids. See more..

    Wightman's Farm image
This place is a hidden gem. We never knew we had a place to pick cherries so close to home! There are several orchards with seasonal picking of peaches, apples, strawberries, cherries, etc. A bit pricy at $7.99 per pound of cherries. The staff are very friendly. You must buy a membership card at $10 per person and then you can pick all season long with that card only paying for the fruit you pick. There is a nice walk into the orchards and options to take a wagon into the orchards as well. There is a store with amazing fresh baked goods, salads, sandwiches, ice cream, etc. Again, a bit pricy. There is something for everyone here. See more..

    Emery's Berry Farm image
Great customer service! Found myself running out of jams, jellies during COVID quarantine. Called up Emery’s, and they told me I could place my order for them to shop for me. All I had to do is phone them when I arrived, they’d swipe my credit card, wipe it with alcohol, return the card and bag with my order to my car. This is a blessing for shoppers who need to minimize exposure for health reasons. Great positive attitude—talking about Christina. You have a new fan! See more..

    Schaefer Farms image
This is NOT a zoo. The animals DO NOT come out of cage for petting they are for viewing. The rudeness is from you not from owners of a farm stand who love their animals and are close to a road where they can be injured. Future reference pay to go a zoo. Just buy the great vegetables and fruit next time and don't belittle because it didn't work for you. We love our Schaefer Farms and we have been going there for years and have no complaints about the products they sell. See more..

    Hacklebarney Farm Cider Mill image
Back again for our 30th year. Never miss a year at Hacklebarney. Only place in NJ to get Baked Apple Dumplings filled with fresh apples. Not too sweet so you can taste the apples. Amazing! A must try if you stop as you won't find these anywhere else as I will be back many more times during the season. Their apple pie is also the best I've ever had out of any farm in nj, and I've been to most. The price is higher but worth every penny. Cider is pressed fresh and delicious as I always buy a gallon on my first trip of the season. It is very pricey but delicious. I hope this family run farm stays in the family for another 30 years and continues sharing their fresh baked goods, fresh pressed cider, aples and cider dogs. See more..

    Howell Living History Farm image
We have been going here for years and years. My grown daughter was in their Farm Hands program so we spent a lot of time volunteering here. It's a beautiful location and a close spot to get away from all the hustle and bustle. Farming is done the old fashioned way here so it's nice to step back in time. There are lots of programs, all family friendly. Lots of events all year long- Maple sugaring in the winter. You can purchase a bottle as well as honey from the farm's beehives. Spring is potato planting and so much more. In the summer, they have the Ice Cream Festival made the old fashioned way. We always look forward to this. Sometimes they have folk bands playing and the Mercer County 4-H Fair is held here. In the Fall, they have their Corn Maze, always a very popular event. Almost everything is free, with a few exceptions, the ice cream and corn maze are two. We love it here and hope you will too! See more..

    - Great

We live near here so have been numerous times. The pumpkin ice cream is great in the fall and I like mine covered in chocolate sprinkles. The apples that you take a wagon to to pick are just so so to me. The bakery goods are delicious. Their Apple cider is delicious and they also offer a pear Apple cider that’s really good. They usually offer two homemade soups on the weekend in the fall but they are not as good as they used to be. Must be new chef. The cider donuts are good when they are fresh.the greenhouse in the spring is a great place for plants and shrubs. It gets better every year. It gets crowded because the whole surrounding area is getting filled with more and more people unfortunately. There is a small playground for the kids. Porta potty only. See more..

    Silver Fox Farm Alpacas image
Loved our visit at Silver Fox Farms Alpaca. This farm is by appointment only and it was nice of Ralph to accommodate us on Memorial Day. As we were the only ones there, we got a personal tour of the farm and got to interact with all of the alpacas. Ralph was very knowledgeable and gave us a lot of info about these animals. He brought out food pellets for all of us to feed the alpacas. It was really cool to be surrounded by the alpacas and get the opportunity to pet them rather than watching them behind the fence. Ralph mentioned they have a Barn Fest every year usually the second weekend of October where they have tons of activities in the farm. The farm is clean and alpacas are well cared for. Definitely worth the time swinging by meeting Ralph and his alpacas. See more..

Summit is hidden away on a little street in Glassboro Lehigh Ave. I make wine, 400 gallons a year and think my wine is pretty good. My wife and I go to wineries for a day out fairly often. Of all the local Gloucester county wineries, Summit has the best tasting wine. We really like their Cab Franc. Regarding the facility, the facility is smaller and really nice. It's decorated with knotty pine planks that looks great. The staff has regularly been nice, and they have events. The price is ~$20 a bottle which is normal for the region. They don't serve food, for a meal, but they have snacks here and there. One of the snacks is garlic pretzels that are truly amazing and they're free. The park is mostly known for their pumpkins though, so I would say that's the best time., but visit whenever you want. People here are normally friendly. You have to pay extra for the attractions, but that does not make this place lose a star, as this place's attractions are always amazing. They have corn mazes, hay rides, and much more. The place also has great apple orchards. There's even a small store in the back of the farm, that sells farmed goods. They have thee best pumpkin pie, as I highly suggest you try. We somehow ended up here when we were visiting new jersey. We really enjoy the farm. The hayride was fun. We picked some apples and some sunflowers. We took some Instagram shoots. We walked around and took in the scenery. We toured the buildings where they host wedding receptions and the mess halls. In the end we brought some donuts from the shop. In total we spend about 2+ hours here. See more..

Then you go back and take another hay wagon to the sunflower field. The sunflowers are huge and amazing. So beautiful. There is a very small store and a few animals for the kids. See more..
