The Delsea Drive-In is wonderful. I've literally never had a bad experience there. I've gone with a girl to see action movies. I've taken my son to see children's movies. I've taken my family to see Marvel movies. It's always been great. Even if my son can't make it to the 10:30 start of the second movie, I never feel like I've wasted my money. Unfortunately, when you search the Delsea Drive-In, the first hit that comes up is a 1 star review saying the Delsea Drive In searches your car for other food. Yes, they do. They make it totally clear that no outside food is allowed in without paying for a food permit. However, for $20, you can bring four pizzas, three orders of fries, and a two-liter bottle of soda. Confiscating food is an inconvenience. They once took two unopened cases of water from me, and held them until the end of the show. The acoustics in the theatre are very good and there are many choices of movies playing. The lines are usually long at the food concession so you have to allow time before the start time of your movie. They also have the new soda machines with a lot of flavors of soda: my favorite is the Diet Coke with Raspberry and my son-in-law likes their Coke with Vanilla. After the movie I asked to speak to the manager, who said his name was Jessie Galoway, to tell him about the seats that did not recline. His response: “You could have sat in different seats.” That response was inaccurate since I paid in advance for my specific seats and assumed every other person did the same. When I quietly said that I would not be coming back, this manager’s response was that it was fine with him. 1.0Empire Union Cinemas(1 review) - Terrible Movie Theaters I went there a few times and noticed all the damages and it seems like every time I go back more damages have been done and nothing is being done about it. The outside of the theater used to look bad but they fix it which made me assume the fixed all the missing ceilings, broken rows, broken chairs, and cleaned the screens. But nope, they didn't and all the snacks are overpriced. On top of all that it is filthy all the cup holders of the remaining chairs in the theaters are missing and trash is shoved down the hole now. There is piled up of trash in almost all the chairs. You just feel disgusting in there. Something needs to be done about this, it is the only small theater Union has and it's absolutely disgusting. I will not step foot in that theater again until there is a change. Just writing this and thinking about my last experience is making me nauseous.See more..
