The hotel is grand and the rooms were clean with fireplace, jacuzzi and walk in shower. The sofa was small and uncomfortable. The views are spectacular especially for fall foliage. The restaurants were average and overpriced. Pasta was hard and tiramisu was semi frozen but service was good. Breakfast buffet was ordinary. The fine dining at restaurant la tour is sold out months in advance. The pool and golf courses are the good amenities but many children are in the pool. Our favorite things were the wine tour and tasting and cabaret show which had an open bar, charcutiere, champagne and great entertainment. There were 3 weddings during our visit but they were not intrusive. The 3.5% surcharge for using a credit card quickly adds up along with all other resort fees and taxes. Be prepared to spend a couple of thousand+ for a weekend.See more..

My daughter got married at the Ballyowen on September 24, 2022. The coordinator handled the set up and she did an amazing job. The maitre d" Michael Mikulich went beyond and more. He was amazing and was literally everywhere to make sure everyone was happy. The cocktail hour was beautiful and so was dinner. The food exceptional and there were many compliments. The staff was very attentive. Everything went smoothly. Highly recommend the Ballyowen for an elegant wedding.See more..

4.0Paramus Golf Course(18 reviews) - Awesome mini golf course! Golf Courses I wanted to do something outside so we stopped in to play a round. Terrific course! It's very clean and there are some great NJ icons - including a whole shore with a small boardwalk. Some of the models need a little paint touchup, but they still look good. The course itself is super creative. It looks very simple, but there are a lot of good twists and turns. The greens and outlines are in great shape which makes a huge difference. Cost is average - $6 or kids, $8 for adults. It was empty when we went, but I'm guessing that it gets pretty crowded on the weekends and in the summer. Definitely a good place to spend some time outside!See more..

Wow what a treat! a public course that is taken care of like its a private club! Absolutely beautiful greens and fairways! just wish they had a driving range, but otherwise its a very enjoyable place for a round of golf!See more..
Since the new management (Casper Golf), both the physical condition of the course and the attitude and helpfulness of the staff have dramatically improved. It is never going to be a TPC Saw Grass or a Harbour Town, but it is a pleasantly challenging / difficult / enjoyable course. The pricing is very attractive although I am sure that the promotional rates will end at some point. It is currently a great value for this area. See more..
I live local and wanted to play golf today... All courses around me seemed to be booked. Let me just say, the course is in surprisingly good condition. Great greens. The only thing I personally dont like is that there are a few par 4 holes with 90 degree bends... But overall a well maintained course.See more..

My husband and I came for a romantic dinner here instead we found the area full of bugs and people were smoking playing corn hole right next to us , the views are beautiful the place is beautifully landscaped but the buildings a bit run down looking , it's a shame it could be a gem otherwise because the food was very good . 2.5White Oaks Golf Course(4 reviews) - Pricy for Franklinville on a weekday Golf Courses Went on a Monday and price was a bit pricy for weekday afternoon. Tee time was for 1212 and didn't get off until 1245. The course was in good shape except bunkers were not being raked because I couldn't find any when I was in them. Good course but probably won't be back...cheaper clubs with similar layouts or same price and better location..See more..
3.5Woodlake Country Club(4 reviews) - Nice dining atmosphere for a large gathering Thursday: 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM Golf Courses

4.0Spring Meadow Golf Course(3 reviews) - Not much has changed at the Meadow Spent More than 3 hours Golf Courses First time here in 4 years, and the course was the same. Convenient location on a holiday weekend, but pretty crowded - took 4.75 hours to play 18 holes. Some issues on a few fairways and greens with brown or bare spots, but in decent shape for what we paid: $40 for "weekend rates" on a Friday, plus $20 for a cart. You can walk the course fairly easily, although there are some hills on the back nine and after the 7th hole. No alcohol on the course, but they have a restaurant/bar at the 19th hole. My review is based upon that $40 price, if you're looking for a stellar course in the area find someone who has access to Manasquan River GC.See more..
2.0Westwood Golf Course(3 reviews) - Nice track Golf Courses Westwood has some challenging holes, but for the most part is very playable. It’s nice to play a course that doesn’t beat you up all day. There are several holes that require a good tee shot to birdie or par. The people there are very accommodating. See more..
4.0Ramblewood Country Club(2 reviews) - Golf, dine or get married. Spent 2-3 hours Golf Courses
This is one of the Ron Jaworski venues and it is open to the public. Beautiful golf course, nice country club and a very pleasant place for spending your leisure time. They feature "Seven Tap-Tavern" a bar that seems to be a local favorite place and 28th Hole Bar & Grill . It is an interesting place to visit. There are always some seasonal specials like "Mother's Day Brunch". Dinning can be combined as a package with golfing. They are also a very popular place for weddings, social and corporate events.See more..

3.5Eagle Ridge Golf Club(2 reviews) - 3 different 9 holes Spent More than 3 hours Golf Courses There are 3 different 9 holes to play, the Ridge, The Pines and The Links. Not a lot of water to contend with but a fair number of bunkers. Some of the bunkers have fine sand and some have a lot of pebbles. The staff is great with a head pro and 3 asst. Food at the turn is not bad. The View restaurant is also very nice with a good bar. Walking with a cart is not allowed until the afternoon. One can carry a bag but the course has some elevation changes. The greens are firm and large, fairways are relatively flat.See more..
4.0Lakewood Country Club(1 review) - Nice golf course, friendly staff Spent More than 3 hours Golf Courses Opened in 1898. Public golf course with 4 sets of tees. Pretty wide open but has long par 3s and tricky greens. It gets a lot of play but they keep it in pretty good shape. Play moves at a good pace in the AM but can be slower in the afternoon. There is a driving range and putting green. Nice restaurant/bar and Tiki bar right next door.See more..

5.0Montammy Golf Club(1 review) - Great place for a huge party! Golf Courses My girlfriend and I attended a bar mitzvah at this venue. The place is beautiful and very ornate. It is actually a private golf club and a very expensive one at that! The food, if cooked by the house chefs was superb. The venue is expansive enough so that you don't feel crowded or herded like cattle. Of course, I would naturally assume that you get what you pay for and the host spared no expense in lavishing his guests with the best selections of aperitifs, wines, vodkas, alcohols, cordials and desserts. The music was non-stop and suitable for the occasion. On the way out we were able to take out an assortment of goodies including stuffed cheesy bread.See more..
