I really appreciate visiting Acadia National Park during august 2022. We went to visit the Park sleeping in Camden, about 1h 30 by car, but less expensive thank sleeping inside the Park itself. I like Cadillac Mountain despite the fact that there were a lot of fog at the pick and not very good visibility. We went also for a easy trip in Jordon Pond (a beautiful lake) in the South East of the park of about 3 miles/5 km, I suggest to do this tour also with children, it is really easy and safe. The park costs 30$ per day with private car and ti visit Cadillac I suggest to book online with anticipation, it is 6$ per day See more..

We arrived about 6:30pm on a weekday and had no trouble parking in the small lot near the north end of Eagle Lake. We walked the short trail toward the lake and saw wide gravel walking trails and directional signage but did not have time to check out these trails. We just walked down to the lake’s edge for a few photos. From the parking lot, walk east on the road a short distance to see the beaver pond. In the late afternoon light, it was very pretty and we saw two beaver lodges on opposite sides of the pond. See more..
