Arundel isn't exactly on the beaten path when you are on the Maine Shoreline, but it really isn't that far from Kennebunkport either, and for the past number of years, Antiques USA has become our favorite place to stop and find something unique to bring home. We never leave without something, from some cool lanterns, to old shutters, or a unique painting, to a garden sculpture made out of welded propane tanks and scrap metal. The place is a huge multi dealer affair with cases and cases of "smalls" in front and the bigger items to the rear. We go at least 2 times a year and things are constantly changing. The staff is helpful and pleasant and will help you if you need to contact a vendor to make an offer. We have done that a few times and been successful every time. This is an awesome place to spend a rainy day if you are in the area. If you go on Sunday morning, be sure to hit the awesome outdoor flea market across the side street. There are some real deals to be had here as well.See more..
Great nostalgic spot, new owners same feel. Very friendly and have a little something for everyone. The owner struck up a conversation w my daughter about school, she is heading off to Syracuse for environmental engineering and they had a wonderful 5-10 minute conversation, with my daughter leaving with a huge smile on her face, beautiful ornaments and great stuffed animals that are made from 100% recyclables. Can't wait to go back.See more..

4.5Fairfield Antiques Mall(23 reviews) - The largest variety of antiques I've ever seen Antique Shops
Mybwife and i, and our 20 & 18 to sons, and our 16 yo daughter dropped by. I was worried they wouldn't like it... I knew my wife would. We would have stayed at least 2 hours... Couldn't stay that long as they close at 5... Anyway. According to the manager, if you walk the whole place, it's ONE MILE. I'm not sure if it's actually that, but THERE'S A LOT. For arguments sake, okay it's a mile. They have everything from antique furniture, to street signs, to old hammers. You name something 10 years old or older, and they have it. Definitely VERY fun to walk around and look at stuff. Definitely worth a visitSee more..
4.5Hallowell Antique Mall(23 reviews) - Ms Crowley Monday: 10:00 AM - 5:00 PM Antique Shops
My sisters and I went here two weeks before Christmas. We live in various parts of Maine and we are not from Hallowell but decided it was central to all of us to have an adventure. There were five of us. After a delicious brunch at Slates, we decided to visit this antique shop. Wow! We had a great deal of fun; we were there for over an hour. One sister found a vintage Harley jacket, while I found various small gifts from mittens to fine china. The prices were great. The staff was welcoming, patient and friendly. They allowed us to keep our piles of treasures with them behind the counter. It was a morning to treasure in many ways. I plan to go there again this month for an item I continue to recall. Highly recommend the place.See more..
4.5Reeds Antiques(16 reviews) - This place is great! We got a beautiful doll here. Next door was a different story. Spent < 1 hour Antique Shops
Reeds is great! We got a beautiful doll this time. Very neat items & we have purchased items here before & will be back again. Next door - different story. No name on building, but part of Wells Union. A VERY rude man told me to "get out" of his shop because he said it was too crowded & I was looking at something on my phone. (I just had it open & was NOT talking or taking pics). what?!? My family was looking at a chair for our cottage in Kennebunkport. Guess who didn't buy the chair! What a way to run someone off! 4.0Gurley Antiques Gallery(4 reviews) - Always interesting to browse here! Antique Shops I usually drive by here daily and stop in once in a while because a lot of the items are fascinating to look at in terms of their history and uniqueness. I lean more toward the paintings, folk art, ceramics, and textiles, and I also love what the owners classify as 'eclectic oddities', like their pigeon racing timeclock or the vintage last rites box. They have a carved fish 'souvenir' from Pitcairn Island that's really unique -- Pitcairn Island isn't easy to get to for the typical tourist or traveler. Some prices seem high if you're not a serious antiques collector or dealer, but others are affordable for the 'Average Joe'. They also have a great website showing highlights from their various collections and recent acquisitions.See more..

4.5Anytime Antiques(2 reviews) - Great selection! Spent 1-2 hours Antique Shops • Flea & Street Markets
Anytime Antiques is one of the best antique/vintage stores I've been to, as well as the most organized -- I've never seen a store of this type so well organized, and so clean. They have everything -- furniture, pottery, art, glassware, dishware, lamps, toys, dolls, musical instruments, records, jewelry, lots of bric-a-brac, etc. They have a lot of flea market items, but they're much better quality than the typical flea market stuff. Also lots of nautical items because they're on the seacoast. Prices are extremely reasonable, so reasonable that a lot of items get sold within days. This is one of the best stops on the Post Road antique corridor.See more..
4.0Bo-Mar Hall Antiques & Collectibles(2 reviews) - INDOOR & OUTDOOR DISPLAYS + AN AUCTION HALL Monday: 10:00 AM - 5:00 PM Spent 1-2 hours Antique Shops
Bo-Mar Hall Antiques & Collectibles is a huge shop hosting over 100 dealers. The building seems to ramble of forever. It’s a great place wander around and get lost in. On the Saturday afternoon when I visited, there were over a dozen tables set up outside in the parking lot. I browsed several of them. Each seemed to have a specialty. One gentleman had a table with all watches, rings, and other jewelry. His Reg. $10.00 watches were on special at $5.00. One dealer had Shaker boxes and clear glass items. Another dealer had milk glass housewares. Another dealer’s table had all small figurines. It was fun place to browse. All the things I saw were reasonably priced. Bo-Mar also has a separate hall out back for hosting live auctions. Bo-Mar hots a local Farmer’s Market on Wednesdays. I rate Bo-Mar Hall Antiques & Collectibles at 4.50 and highly recommend a visit to those who like antiques and vintage items. If you found this review helpful, please click THANK below.See more..

5.0Leona May's Antique & Gift Shoppe(1 review) - Quirky Antique Store Antique Shops This store is in an old rambling house with three floors. It is filled with antiques, gifts, odd things, and probably a bit of junk. Each turn and there are a lot of turns, brings something new into view. Their prices seem reasonable though I am far from an expert. We were warmly greeted and humorous banter quickly ensued. We almost didn't stop, but so glad we did.See more..
5.0Dow General Store(1 review) - Small town General store with antiques. Spent < 1 hour Antique Shops
Dow General store may be small but they have an added bonus. There’s an antique shop in the back. I love antiques! You’ll also find the usual merchandise that a general store carries plus grab n go food items and homemade baked goods. They don’t offer much in the line of souvenirs but the one item they do carry has been my favorite from the state of Maine. Their signature t-shirt is hilarious! It’s been a great conversation starter.See more..

5.0Barn On 26(1 review) - Just the Shaker barn alone will draw you in! Spent < 1 hour Antique Shops
This beautiful restored 1870 Shaker barn is a landmark on Route 26 (Shaker Road) in Gray and its two floors are filled with antiques and vintage items. It has a great inventory of wood furniture, including some Shaker-style furniture, and all kinds of odds and ends -- lamps, art, vinyl records, clocks, statuary, signage, rugs, china, glassware, vintage typewriters, etc. etc. They also have a wonderful website that lists and describes their items. The items are priced accordingly depending on their quality, age, and value. I enjoyed the time I spent there and also enjoyed talking to the owner, who's very nice.See more..
The store is described by the owners as 'old-fashioned and filled to the rafters'. They're not lying. It's so filled with stuff that your eyes glaze over when you walk in. The narrow aisles are crammed with vintage toys and electronics, housewares, furniture, signage, pictures, lots of rusty-looking tools, and tons of other curios. People who are really into this stuff would have a field day, but I just found it way too cluttered. It's like an indoor flea market but with higher prices.See more..

5.0Tangibles Antiques(1 review) - MANY UNUSUAL, HIGH-QUALITY ITEMS Antique Shops
Visiting Maine, I happened upon Tangibles Antiques. The multi-dealer shop had many unusual and unique items as well as a few more commonly-found antiques. The items I saw dated from the 18th, 19th, and 20th centuries. There were a lot of trunks, works of art, and furniture. I particularly liked the set of two black leather upholstered chairs of Mid-Century Modern design. There was an attention-getting tall wood sculpture from Ecuador and done in the style of Luis Potosi, a famous Ecuadorian Postwar & Contemporary Carved Wooden Sculpture artist. It would be just the thing to become a conversation piece in an entryway or living room. As cat-fancier, I found a painting of a black and white cat to be a fun piece of art. This is a great place to find high-quality antiques. I rate my experience at Tangibles Antiques at 5.0 and highly recommend a visit. 5.0My Sister's Garage(1 review) - Different and delightful! Spent 1-2 hours Antique Shops
I read rave reviews about this place in several magazines, so I had to check it out. It's in an antique Cape, and several rooms on the two floors are set up like a regular room in a house -- dining room, bedroom, living room, etc. and is beautifully decorated. The items for sale are eclectic -- mostly vintage, with some repurposed items -- and include furniture, rugs, lighting, linens, home accessories, paintings, clothing, shoes, handbags, jewelry, pottery, pillows, etc. etc. A lot of things have a Western theme. I found a unique Aqua Madonna bag that was perfect for me.See more..
5.0The Naples Barn(1 review) - You could spend hours in here. Spent 1-2 hours Antique Shops

While traveling to Bethel for a ski trip we stumbled across this fabulous find...with fabulous and reasonably priced treasures! Mark Bennett the owner couldn't have been more charming. 5.0Rabelais Inc.(1 review) - cook book store Antique Shops hands down the best used and rare cook books store ever. I'm including London, New York, San Francisco and New Orleans here. Very well organized, truly a phenomenal selection. Not just books in English. The owner is very generous with sharing his hard-earned knowledge and freely allowed me to browse. I only opened older books that I was interested in buying - Too often, over the years, I see people damage old books. Some books here are correctly priced in the hundreds of dollars. I would strongly recommend asking him if it looks fragile. (His prices are very correct even reasonable.) My wife and I bought three books but I discovered others that I will buy at a later date. You cannot do that on Amazon. There are great cook books that are now off the radar because they are a few years old or don't have photos.See more..
4.0Great Stuff(1 review) - A good find! Spent < 1 hour Antique Shops
This consignment shop on Route One south of Freeport's main shopping hub is pretty nice -- three rooms filled with furniture, lamps, textiles, pottery, art, dishware, knick-knacks, and miscellaneous odds and ends. I got a beautiful hand-painted bowl (see pic) for 40% off -- some of the items are discounted after a certain amount of time. Their stock changes often and they're open all year.See more..
5.0R. Jorgensen Antiques(1 review) - Impressive collection of aesthetic antiques Spent < 1 hour Antique Shops R. Jorgensen has two floors and an additional back building of magnificent period antiques, most of which date back to the 19th Century and several to the 18th and 17th Centuries, and include American, French, English, Scandinavian, Chinese, and other continental pieces. It's like a museum. The owners are very welcoming, as are their two dogs, one of whom greeted me when I walked in (Julie, the French poodle). The items are expensive, of course -- this isn't your typical flea market down the street -- but they're finely crafted. It's a wonderful inventory and display in a beautiful historic building, whether you're buying or just browsing.See more..

4.0Carboni Antiques(1 review) - PARK ONCE ~ SHOP SEVEN BUILDINGS FULL OF ANTIQUS Spent 2-3 hours Antique Shops The Wells Union Antique Center was a group of seven buildings. There were different shops there. Park once and shop seven buildings full of antiques! I browsed the second building. It had mostly furniture. The third building had what one usually sees in antiques shops ~ glass, china, jewelry, collectibles, furniture, paintings, etc. A fourth building had a lot of vintage costume jewelry and some accessories such as purses. In the first three shops I visited, I thought that the prices were slightly higher than average. In the small red building that houses Carboni Antiques, there were some nice home furnishings. The prices there were closer to average. Overall, I rate Wells Union Antique Center at 4.0. I can recommend a stop there. If you found this review helpful, please click THANK below.See more..
