    - Rare Find Stores Open
Monday: 10:00 AM - 9:00 PM Shopping Malls
    Maine Mall image
We found a rare find while in Portland Maine. A mall with stores in it. That is getting harder and harder to find. We decided to stop in to get out of the weather and lose a few hours. The mall is clean and has lots of good department stores. The food court was clean and had quite a few options. Stop in and browse around. See more..
  2. 3.0 Bangor Mall (59 reviews)
    - Miss the real mall
Monday: 10:00 AM - 7:00 PM Spent 1-2 hours Shopping Malls
    Bangor Mall image
Conveniently located off I-95, a major highway in the state, Bangor Mall serves as a go-to destination for shoppers in the top two-thirds of Maine and the Eastern provinces of Canada. JCPenney, Hollister, American Eagle, Dick's Sporting Goods, Victoria's Secret, and more. See more..
  3. 4.5 Blacksmiths Mall Antiques (16 reviews)
    - Wonderful shop full of treasures!

    Blacksmiths Mall Antiques image
Perfect place to hunt for that special something one is looking for. You are never rushed; the staff is very helpful. It could use some more air conditioning, however, when it is very hot outside. The back area tends to get a bit warm. See more..

I haven't been to this mall in years. It was eerie how few stores and people were in this mall. Not much to see here. See more..
  5. 4.5 The Shops At Biddeford Crossing (6 reviews)
    - One stop shop
    Spent 1-2 hours Shopping Malls
Everything you need in one plaza. Lunch, groceries, sundries, office supplies, pet supplies, salon products, clothing, phone service, baby products. A real gem for us local shoppers who want to avoid the mall. See more..
  6. 2.5 Saco Valley Shopping Center (4 reviews)
    - CONVENIENTLY-LOCATED SHOPPING CENTER WITH A RESTAURANT, A RENYS, & BANKS WITH ATM’S
    Shopping Malls
This shopping center had easy access from the Maine Turnpike and US Route 1. It had several businesses. The main attractions for travelers were the well-rated Lucky Loggers Landing Restaurant, Key Bank and TD Bank for ATM’s, a Shaw’s Supermarket with an Osco Pharmacy, Mail Boxes Etc./UPS Store to mail stuff home, and Renys, the Maine-based department store that bills itself as “A Maine Adventure.” On my most-recent visit, I had a very good breakfast at Lucky Loggers Landing Restaurant and shopped at Renys. Based on its convenient location, multiple banking choices, and the quality of the restaurant and Renys, I rate Saco Valley Shopping Center at 4.0. I recommend a stop there. 7. 5.0 Renys (1 review)
    - A Maine Adventure
    Monday: 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM Spent < 1 hour Shopping Malls
    Renys image
Renys is Maine’s original department store and they have several locations across the state. This location gave me that small town general store feel. The employees were very friendly and helpful. They have a nice selection of souvenirs. I left with a Renys canvas tote bag. The free wristbands at checkout are a nice touch. See more..
  8. 4.0 Raymond Shopping Center (1 review)
    - SMALL TOWN SHOPPING CENTER WITH DINING OPTIONS, SERVICES, & A POST OFFICE
    Spent 1-2 hours Shopping Malls
    Raymond Shopping Center image
Driving Roosevelt Trail, I spotted a sign for the Raymond Shopping Center. It had several businesses, so I stopped by to see what was there. The biggest store was the Family Dollar. It also had The Bibliophile Bookshop & Coffeehouse. For dining, there was Beacon Pizza and A La Mexicana which is in a former diner sort of behind Salvation Army Thrift Store. Other businesses included Southpaw Meat Market and Maine Dance Center. Service businesses included Angel Nails and Dirty Paw Dog Wash. There is also a branch of the U.S. Post Office. A Salvation Army Thrift Store is either part of the mall or right next door in an adjoining parking lot. I shopped at The Bibliophile Bookshop. The owners were very nice; so were the book and coffee areas of their shop. I also shopped the Salvation Army Thrift Store which had good merchandise. Both restaurants were busy at the time of my visit. I checked them out. They’re all well-rated. For a small town shopping center, I thought it was very good because it had variety with shopping, dining, and services. I rate the Raymond Shopping Center at 4.0. 9. 4.0 Midtown Mall (1 review)
    - MALL IN MIDTOWN WITH MANY RESTAURANTS & OTHER BUSINESSES
    Spent 1-2 hours Shopping Malls
    Midtown Mall image
The Midtown Mall is a place I’ve frequented for decades. I’ve seen businesses and restaurants come and go. The current mix of business leans more toward restaurants; and, that’s good. But, I do miss the Amato’s there; it moved down Main Street closer to The Center for Shopping. The Upper Level has restaurants offering a variety of cuisines. They include Bubba Fryes Wings & Things, The Sandwich Shack, Yummy House Chinese Cuisine, and Pho Saigon. I’ve eaten at The Sandwich Shack which is very good. I plan to try the Yummy House there. If it’s any relation to the Yummy House in Biddeford, the prices and the food will be good. Although Aroma Joe’s Coffee House is not officially part of the Midtown Mall as it is in the former Sanford Trust Company Building, it has its drive-thru and a back entrance off the mall’s parking lot. On my most-recent visit, I saw a banner hanging over the adjacent entrance that said: Mee-O Thai Coming Soon. The anchor store is Family Dollar. It was a sizable store. I found it to be larger than a number of other stores in that chain. There’s a fun candy store there named CandyTubs LLC – all one word - that carries everything from sorbet gummy bears to gift packages. Another unusual place is Gamesters Entertainment which deals in games and toys. On Pointe Family Salon was another business of potential interest to travelers. On the Lower Level out bend the main part of the Upper Level, businesses of interest to travelers include Fluff-n-Puff Laundry, Mill Towne Tavern, B & J’s Vape, and Sanford Nails. There are also some other businesses adjacent to the mall that are within easy walking distance For all its restaurants and variety of businesses beyond the usual mall tenants, I rate the Midtown Mall at 4.0 and recommend a visit to at least one restaurant there. 10. 4.0 Center for Shopping (1 review)
    - SHOPPING CENTER WITH STORES, RESTAURANTS, A SUPERMARKET/PHARMACY COMBO & A BANK
    Spent 1-2 hours Shopping Malls
    Center for Shopping image
The Center for Shopping is the main shopping center for the Sanford area. It has restaurants, stores, a movie theater, a supermarket, and a bank. The biggest attractions for travelers would be the restaurants: El Mexicano, Applebee’s Grill + Bar, Pizza Hut, and Subway. I’ve eaten at the well-rated Applebee’s and Pizza Hut which seems to have gone downhill. El Mexicano, Applebee’s, and Subway are the best places to eat here. The perfect family afternoon/night out or rainy day activity is Smitty's Cinema which also serves food. Stores of interest to travelers are Bull Moose Music, Dollar Tree for snacks or those used-up/forgotten toiletries, GNC, and Threads of Hope Thrift Shop. There is also a Planet Fitness. The Shaw’s Supermarket Is a good place to shop for the salad bar, fresh fruit and grocery snacks, and frozen meals for in-room cooking at hotel. This Shaw’s has an in-store Osco Pharmacy. There is a Bank of America full-service branch with drive-up ATM in the middle of this sort-of wide horseshoe-shaped shopping center. On my most-recent visit there, I shopped at Shaw's for fresh fruit and uncooked fresh shrimp on sale, Bull Moose Music where I bought a CD, and Threads of Hope Thrift Shop - for the first time - where I found a couple of never-worn summer knit tops. For the five categories of shopping, dining, entertainment, a pharmacy, and banking all in one location, I rate The Center for Shopping at 4.25. If you found this review helpful, please click THANK below. See more..
  11. 4.0 Scarborough Gallery (1 review)
    - MALL WITH SIX RESTAURANTS
    Spent 1-2 hours Shopping Malls
Scarborough Gallery is off Payne Road adjacent to a huge Walmart Supercenter. For travelers, Scarborough Gallery is more a dining destination than a shopping center. Restaurants include Texas Roadhouse, Red Robin Gourmet Burgers, Kentucky Fried Chicken, Taco Bell, Little Caesars, and Dunkin’ Donuts. Chia Sen and Subway are across the road in Payne Road Plaza. Stores include Marshalls, Home Goods, PetSmart, and Bob’s Discount Furniture. Marshalls and Home Goods are likely the stores of interest for travelers. But, Scarborough Gallery is a great place for dining with lots of fast-food choices. During our visit, we ate at the Texas Roadhouse. It’s very good; and, consequently it’s usually well patronized. Based mostly on the restaurant choices available, we rate Scarborough Gallery at 4.0. If you found this review helpful, please click THANK below. See more..
  12. 4.0 The Gateway Shoppes At Scarborough (1 review)
    - DINING & SHOPPING COMPLEX
    Shopping Malls
The Gateway Shoppes at Scarborough is a shopping mall. The anchor store is Cabela’s. I was disappointed to see the Haven’s Candies had left. The other main attractions at this mall are now mostly restaurants. Portland Pie Company and Thai 9 Restaurant are in the strip mall part of the complex. Wild Birds Unlimited, Pet Life, and Phantom Fireworks are nearby. Famous Dave’s BBQ is at the opposite end of the property by itself. The other dining option is for sandwiches and snacks is at Cabela’s. This mall is still under development. On my most-recent visit with friends, we went to Cabela’s for the Go Outside Sale. We rate The Gateway Shoppes at Scarborough at 4.50 for the convenient location, well-rated restaurants, and Cabela’s. We recommend including The Gateway Shoppes at Scarborough in one’s plans for the Old Orchard Beach-Scarborough area. The location is convenient for Maine Turnpike travelers. This complex is about 15 feet from the roadway that leads from Exit 42 and the corresponding on-ramp. If you found this review helpful, please click THANK below. See more..
  13. 3.0 Westbrook Plaza (1 review)
    - RETAIL PLAZA WITH DINING OPTIONS
Monday: 10:00 AM - 9:00 PM Shopping Malls
    Westbrook Plaza image
Heading into Westbrook, I stopped for some shopping at Westbrook Plaza. Stores included Kohl's, Shaw’s, and The Animal House. Service business were SuperCuts and Euphoria Nails & Spa. Dining options included Pizza Hut, Panera Bread, Dunkin’, and Chipotle Mexican Grill. The Ruby Tuesday was permanently closed. That was too bad. It was a big restaurant. I shopped Kohl’s and picked a couple of things at Shaw’s. I rate Westbrook Plaza at 3.50. The reason for the delay in submitting this review was due to a months-long loss of my ability to post photos with my reviews. If you found this review useful, please click HELPFUL. See more..
  14. 4.0 Kittery Outlet Center (1 review)
    - SMALLER MALL WITH BETTER BRAND NAME STORES
    Shopping Malls
This Waterstone Properties Group mall is small compared to the others in Kittery, but is has some better brand name stores that include Crate & Barrel, Lululemon, Van Heusen/Izod, and Famous Footwear as well as Thai & I. On this trip to Kittery, I was hoping for some spring rolls from Thai & I, but it was temporarily closed. I’ve shopped Crate & Barrel, Van Heusen, and Famous Footwear on previous trips. They’re all good stores with outlet prices. I rate Kittery Outlet Center at 4.0. If you found this review helpful, please click THANK below. See more..
  15. 4.0 Windham Mall (1 review)
    - OF THREE MALLS TOGETHER, THIS ONE HAD THE BEST VARIETY OF BUSINESSES
    Shopping Malls
    Windham Mall image
While on vacation in Windham, I did some shopping in several malls. The Windham Mall was one of three malls clustered together. This one had the best variety of stores and service businesses. Renys, a regional department store, and Marshalls provided retail shopping. There was also a Home Depot. The Hannaford Supermarket chain had a store there. The three restaurants offered a variety of dining. Burger King was, of course, fast food. The Portland Pie Company was a mid-range casual Italian eatery. Hana Asian Cuisine, a sushi and hibachi restaurant was the higher end dining option. Smitty's Cinema offered a movie with casual dining. Service businesses included Key Bank, The Man Cave Barbershop, and Nail Trix. There was a major renovation going on in between Smitty’s and Renys. I learned that Sherman's Maine Coast Book Shops was opening a store next to Renys and that Smitty’s was also having some work done on its entrance. During my visit to this mall, I shopped at Renys and Hannaford. Renys bills itself as “A Maine Adventure.” I always enjoy shopping at any of this Maine-based department store chain’s locations. Renys has competitive discount prices. Even at home, I also shop Hannaford regularly for quality house brands, produce, and meats. Wrapping up my shopping trip there, I noticed that Renys was like a ghost town just 10 minutes after its 6:00 PM closing time. Of the tree malls together, I liked this one the best. I rate my experience at the Windham Mall at 4.50 and highly recommend a visit. If you found this review helpful, please click THANK below. See more..
  16. 4.0 Windham Shopping Plaza (1 review)
    - MALL WITH AN OLYMPIA SPORTS, A BULL MOOSE & A LAUNDROMAT
    Shopping Malls
    Windham Shopping Plaza image
On vacation in Windham, I visited several shopping malls. I found Windham Shopping Plaza in between North Windham Shopping Center and the Windham Mall. The three were conveniently clustered together. That provided a centralized shopping opportunity. For shopping here, I found Bull Moose, Olympia Sports, Verizon Wireless, and The Furniture Gallery. I shopped at Bull Moose, looking at music CD’s, movies, and games. Dining options included China Taste and Subway. Both have good reputations. I scouted China Taste for future reference. I liked what I saw. And, for those needing to do laundry, the Busy Bee Laundromat & Dry Cleaning is there. I thought the company van was cute. It was decorated with adorable cartoon character bees. My two favorites were the large happy bee with his arms/front legs outstretched and the two bees flying while carrying dry cleaning for delivery. With some variety of shopping and dining options at Windham Shopping Plaza, my rating is 4.0. If you found this review helpful, please click THANK below. See more..
  17. 3.0 Marketplace at Augusta (1 review)
    - 3 tiers of confusion
Monday: 10:00 AM - 9:00 PM Shopping Malls
This outside mall is broken up into 3 tiers, A lower, middle and top. For folks that have never shopped there before, it's a bit confusing to navigate or find the specific stores your looking for. You must drive to each tier. See more..
  18. 3.0 North Windham Shopping Center (1 review)
    - SMALL MALL IN A CLUSTER OF THREE MALLS
    Shopping Malls
    North Windham Shopping Center image
Vacationing in Windham, I visited the shopping malls. North Windham Shopping Center is one three malls conveniently clustered together. I found Windham Jewelers and Pet Quarters to have interesting things. Quest Travel was also there. North Windham Electronics had signage stating that it is a Radio Shack dealer. I scouted Milk and Honey Café for a future visit. It looked like a nice coffee shop. The U.S. Post Office is in the back of this L-shaped mall for travelers wanting to mail something home. Mainely Vapes was next door. Dena’s Lobsterhouse & Tavern had closed permanently. That was disappointing. . I rate North Windham Shopping Center at 3.0. 19. 3.0 The Fairgrounds Marketplace (1 review)
    - The fairground itself looks great!
    Shopping Malls
    The Fairgrounds Marketplace image
The Fairgrounds Marketplace sounds like a wonderful place to shop, but it's actually just a large grocery store and a Walmart. However, it's right next to the Skowhegan Fairgrounds, which has held the nation's oldest continuously run agricultural fair since 1818. See more..
  20. 4.0 5 Points Shopping Center (1 review)
    - MID-SIZED STRIP MALL WITH A CINEMA, 4 RESTAURANTS & SEVERAL STORES
    Spent 1-2 hours Shopping Malls
The 5 Points Shopping Center is located on Maine Route 111. There is plenty of free parking in the sizeable parking lot. It’s easy to drive past this shopping center because most of it - mainly the stores - is below street level and nearly hidden from view. The 99 Restaurant and Tropical Café are more at street level and might catch a passerby’s eye. You have to kind of know it’s there. The chief attractions for travelers there are Smitty's Cinema which serves comfort food in addition to showing movies, a smoothie bar named Tropical Café and three restaurants: All Day Breakfast, 99 Restaurant, and Tin Tin Buffet which serves Chinese, Japanese, and American food. Planet Fitness health club, Olympia Sports, Big Lots, a Goodwill store, and some other businesses are also there. On my most-recent visit, I stopped by Big Lots and Goodwill to shop for housewares. I got two coffee mugs in perfect condition for $2.00 at Goodwill. On recent previous visits, I’ve shopped Olympia Sports which always seems to have a sale going on; and, I’ve had breakfast at the All Day Breakfast which serves very good food for breakfast and lunch. Smitty’s is still on my “To Do” List. Tin Tin Buffet is on the “Maybe” List. My overall rating of 5 Points Shopping Center is 4.0 as it has several different activities in one location. I recommend stopping by for a meal or shopping. And, Smitty’s Cinema would be a perfect rainy afternoon activity around 3:00 PM. Movies usually start running about 3:30 PM. 22. 4.0 Wells Plaza (1 review)
    - LARGEST SHOPPING MALL IN THE WELLS AREA
    Shopping Malls
    Wells Plaza image
Wells Plaza has great places for shopping and dining. It is one of the largest shopping malls between York and South Portland. In Maine over a weekend, I shopped at Wells Plaza. Most of my trips to Wells involve a stop at Wells Plaza to shop at three or more stores here. The anchor stores are Hannaford Supermarket and Renys, a department store with competitive prices and the motto “A Maine Adventure.” Other stores include Dollar Tree, Tully’s Beer & Wine, and Wells Fashion Outlet, a great store for souvenir clothing for Maine and New England sports teams as well as fashion at discount prices. This mall has a business in the entertainment sector: Flagship Premium Cinemas. The chairs are power reclining seats. The theater was closed temporarily at the time of my visit. Service businesses include Naviina Salon & Day Spa, Ocean Nails & Spa, Saco Bay Physical Therapy, and Bank of America. Restaurants include Rococo Ice Cream & Test Kitchen, The Bistro at R & R Chocolates, and Pizza Market. Out on US-1 near the plaza entrance is Seacoast Pizza & Pasta. All four are good. But, for pizza, I prefer Seacoast Pizza & Pasta which has a patio for outdoor dining in the better weather. Other businesses bordering the plaza are the Wells Laundermat (their spelling) and Auto Spa Car Wash. On my most-recent visit, I shopped at Renys and got take-out pizza from Seacoast Pizza & Pasta. I usually shop at Wells Fashion Outlet and sometimes Dollar Tree but not on this trip. For the variety of stores, service businesses, restaurants, and a movie theater in the plaza, I rate Wells Plaza at 4.50 and recommend a visit. 23. 3.0 Mill Creek Shopping Center (1 review)
    - SHOPPING CENTER ACROSS FROM MILL CREEK PARK
    Spent 1-2 hours Shopping Malls
Mill Creek Shopping Center is across Ocean Street from Mill Creek Park. It is adjacent to Millcreek Plaza which houses Shaw’s, Family Dollar, McDonald’s, Haircuts Plus, and more. It has two great restaurants: Mister Bagel and Asia Chinese Restaurant which serves a lunch buffet and full Asian menu the rest of the day. Asia is a favorite with me. Retailers and service businesses include Dollar Tree, Nonesuch Books, Goodwill, Garden Island Mill Creek Laundromat & Tanning, Specs for Less, Mill Creek Barber Shop, Bank of America, and more. I've shopped at Dollar Tree, Nonesuch Books, and Goodwill numerous times. All three are well-stocked stores. My most-recent visit was after a walk around Mill Creek Park. Overall, I rate the Mill Creek Shopping Center at 3.75 and recommend a visit. If you found this review helpful, please click THANK below. See more..
  24. 4.0 Meadowbrook Plaza (1 review)
    - SHOPPING, DINING & SWEETS
    Shopping Malls
    Meadowbrook Plaza image
Meadowbrook Plaza is a shopping and dining center. Of interest here to travelers are Lost & Found Antiques for browsing and Dollar Tree to pick up snacks, toiletries, and beverages. The Luxe Salon & Spa is the main place for services. There is also an Enterprise Rent-A-Car as well as a UPS Store for mailing home souvenirs and/or purchases from the outlets in nearby Kittery. The two restaurants here are Thai for You and Green Leaves Restaurant & Lounge for oriental food. But, for those with a sweet tooth, Rossi's Italian Bakery and The Sandpiper Cake Shop can satisfy any craving. During my visit here, I shopped at Lost & Found Antiques and Dollar Tree for incidentals. I added Rossi's and the two oriental restaurants to my Future Reference List. Although not a major shopping mall, this a good place to park once and possibly visit both stores and at least one restaurant or sweets shop; therefore, I rate Meadowbrook Plaza at 4.0.
