Sam did a great job leading his first trip! He was very knowledgeable of the area, came prepared for any unexpected circumstances and did a great job keeping the group together and keeping people engaged. It was great to have Kyle as a bonus guide, he added humor and well seasoned knowledge of the area and really shared his passion with us. Shout out to Colby for not only driving the bus but driving a bus with a trailer attached to it - as someone who has sent a trailer over the edge of a ramp more than once, I was impressed. All in all I would highly recommend adding Maine State Sea Kayak onto your to-do list for your trip to Acadia, the staff are great, the views are wonderful, and the wildlife is hard to beat, one of the best kayak trips I’ve gone on with guides!See more..
Our two families with 4 total teenagers had a wonderful experience- even starting at 5 am! Tim McCluskly was a great guide- had a great rapport with our kids and we all laughed a lot throughout the morning. Of course seeing a Moose right at the end made the trip amazing- but we'd like to think we would have still thought it was worth it if we hadn't. The experience of canoeing on such a beautiful serene pond early in the morning was an experience itself. Tim clearly takes pride in his work and we could tell he was intent on doing his best to find a moose and teach us everything he knows about them while we looked. We had a lovely, relaxing long weekend in a yurt. There was a skylight and one night there was a lightening storm and we lay on the king size bed enjoying the view. Our canoe trip on the lake was so peaceful - we happened to be there at a time where it was just us and the guide. Our hike to the waterfalls was lovely. We really enjoyed our stay. The staff were very helpful and courteous. I don't want to spoil anything, but we loved the little surprise treats we got. Almost forgot - we saw 3 moose from the roadside!See more..

We did Penobscot River rafting with Northern Outdoors. Our group enjoyed it a lot. The river has grade 5 rapids and there is a 10 foot fall along the river that is very unique. The service from Northern Outdoors were great, the lunch and coffee was tasty and hot. Our raft guide Eileen did a great job instructing us and making sure we all are having fun. Despite being a rainy day they did a great job in making sure everyone is having a great time and adventure during the trip. One advice I can give is to have good instructions about when the trip starts in the morning and when is the reporting time. There are multiple companies doing the rafting business from the same base camp. But overall a five start experience.See more..

Fourth year we have rented the Pontoon boat w slide for the sunset cruise 1.5 hrs went by quick but just enough time for a stop to slide/play in water then 4 long tube rides then one last slide/play stop. Short but sweet. Awesome helpful staff and easy to drive/manage boat & included tube big enough for 3 riders! We love it!See more..

Our families had a wonderful time on the Androscoggin River with canoes and kayaks from Bethel Outdoors. We did a 10 mile trip down the river with a shuttle to Gilead and got the trip off to an unforgettable start with the rope swing. The equipment was in good shape, the staff were extremely helpful, knowledgeable and friendly and the safety instructions clear. We went for an 8 day trip with Cathy as our guide. Her connections with a local outfitter made everything go smoothly and efficiently. We initially spent some time in eco lodges , walking in the jungle, seeing native nocturnal animals in a guided tour, exploring an incredible ceremonial Mayan cave. And then headed to Glovers Reef for snorkeling and kayaking - 4 extremely special days in a very special setting. We strongly recommend this trip to others. You won’t regret it.See more..

We had a great time on the river, Steve guided us and advised us on what to expect. The tubes were good quality and comfortable, hardly felt any bumps. The river provided some splashes and some fun but we never felt like we would fall out of the tube. The Kennebec is beautiful on a sunny day, our day was somewhat overcast but we still enjoyed it, and Steve and Tammy were great with the reservation, communication and narration. If you want to have a little bit more excitement than a leisurely tube ride down the river than the Bubble Trip is the way to go!See more..
My brothers and I had planned a trip to go backpacking in Maine, but were stumped on how to get from Bangor Airport to Baxter State Park with all our gear. Rental cars were nearly non-existent and prohibitively expensive. A Google search for shuttle services turned up Maine Quest Adventures. My initial email to owner Bryant was answered promptly in the affirmative, and all subsequent communication was handled quickly and professionally. Not only was Bryant willing to allow our group to ship some bulkier items to him to hold for our arrival, he even re-arranged his entire schedule to ensure our shuttle when one of our group's airline connections was abruptly changed. It is refreshing these days to find someone who is so dedicated to great customer service! I would highly recommend Bryant and his company to anyone looking for a top quality Maine experience. We spent 6 days in Windham, ME, on vacation, and came to Sebago Trails for two of those days! Loved the paddling and the wonderful staff so much, we had to come back for a second paddle. When we returned, the staff greeted us like old friends, and they were so helpful and encouraging with our family of 5. Half our family came off the water before the others, and we felt completely comfortable and welcome hanging out at the picnic table waiting for the rest of our family to come out. The friendly staff chatted with us about the animals that frequent the river, including minks, ermine, and snapping turtles. All the interactions we observed with other guests were equally warm, pleasant, and helpful. We saw people of all different ages out paddling, probably the most diverse looking crowd we saw anywhere on the trip. What a gem! Highly recommend.See more..

After months of planning with the assistance of helpful, polite, knowledgeable and ethical staff and long time locals Thornton and Elizabeth Ring we arrived finally to ick up a ea kayak in late August for a few day ocean excursion. We found the boat selection to be large, equipment in satisfactory condition and service prompt. The boat was loaded onto the roof and in half an hour we were on our way with laminated maps, to be returned. The small office shop area does have a few useful pieces of equipment including handy waterproof floating cellphone sleeves. The large kayak selected was durable but quite heavy and sluggish in the water...but it was needed due to the overnight camping gear in tow. Overall quite a pleasant experience at this fie old establishment!See more..
