This is a wonderful little art museum! I especially enjoyed the Remington and Gaudens bronze sculptures, the Etruscan pottery, and the works by Andrew Wyeth, Homer, Picasso, and Cassatt. The Alex Katz exhibit was great, too. This was a destination art museum and worth the trip (and the absurd current cost of gas). I was very surprised that there was no entry fee. It's a definite return trip in the near future to see new exhibits and to enjoy the permanent collection once more.See more..

It's a small art museum and there wasn't much to look at because they were closed all summer for renovations and right now they're between exhibits. It was disappointing, even though I knew the situation ahead of time. I thought they'd at least have more of their permanent collection on display. So techically it was a 'poor' experience, but the situation was understandable.See more..
