  1. 4.0 Marden's (4 reviews)
    - Another great Marden's store

I'm a hardened Marden's shopper. No trip to Maine is complete without a stop at several of their locations. and I've been to 13 of their stores over the years. On this trip we stopped at 6 of them, with the Sanford locale being the last. We would rate the Sanford store as one of the top three within the state. Things seem better organized, the variety of goods was better, and the staff were very friendly. Only negative point was the disasterous men's washroom though my spouse did tell me the women's was very clean. We went out of the way to visit Marden's #13 but it was worth the time and extra miles. - A unique store.

I've shopped in just about every Reny's in Maine. They have items that you don't normally find in other department stores. Their prices are lower than average, and they have a lot of Maine-themed items. You can get good bargains on their clothing, shoes, housewares of all kinds, grocery items, and overall bric-a-brac. We saw a flyer for this and decided on a whim to go. We loved it here - found something for everyone and at great prices. Free municipal parking in back of store as well. We love Renys so much not only will we be back here we'll visit our locations next time we're in those areas. See more..
  4. 5.0 Ed's Grove Discount Store (1 review)
    - LARGE DISCOUNT STORE WITH THOUSANDS OF ITEMS AT GREAT PRICES
    Monday: 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM Spent < 1 hour Department Stores
    Ed's Grove Discount Store image
Ed’s Grove Discount Store looked big from the outside. Inside, it seemed even bigger. From just the first quick look around, it was obvious that Walmart had nothing on Ed’s. There was a wide variety of merchandise, and it was all competitively priced. Just as the advertising on the front of the building listed, Ed’s had toys, gifts, fishing gear, hardware, housewares, and much more. I saw souvenir T-shirts from Maine and Ed’s. There were jackets and sweatshirts as well. Greeting cards were $1.00 each. There was a lot of outdoor gear. I liked a coppery butterfly decoration at $12.99. There was a display of hurricane lanterns priced at $10.49 each. At the end of my visit, I spoke with the two women on the cash registers. I commented on the good prices. One cashier told me that, if Ed can’t get an item he can offer for a great price, then, he won’t buy it and offer it for sale in his store. He insists on having great prices. Ed’s is the perfect place to get lost in for an hour or more. It’s a great place to go after breakfast or lunch at the Town Line Family Restaurant across the road. I rate Ed's Grove Discount Store at 4.5. I highly recommend stopping by to shop. If you found this review helpful, please click THANK below. See more..
