We never like kombucha before....this place nail it with ghost chilli and ginger....the staff offer to mix it since I can not decide. It is awesome and brought back to the hotel 32oz growler! Definitely a place to visit. They also have bean bag toss game. The place is artsy and hippie vibe. On the time we were there, they also had live music. See more..

It all started during a family dinner with a joking statement of “lets make our own whisky.” With a shared love for good whisky and fascination to see how things are made, this father and son team decided to explore the idea. David and David Woods researched and studied (and some say obsessed) over how to build a still and process alcohol. Now, winning awards and with two locations, the Woods family understand that they have created something very special. See more..

I showed up just after they closed and was invited in given a grand tour. This distillery is located in a Brewing industrial park and is a welcome addition. We talked about all the spirits that they made there and had soooo many samples and all of this after hours. I can not recommend this distillery enough. I bought a bottle of rum on my way out and a bottle of rye from a local supermarket. See more..

Took my wife and soon to be 87 yo m-i-law there as part of the 87 birthday weekend. So much fun and really tasty spirits. Jesse and Kasey are great hosts. The outside seating area is roomy and comfortable. You start with your choice of five sips to see what you like. Lots of drinks to choose from. To go pouches are awesome! Try the Birch Beer Cordial if you like root beer. The vodka will wake you up! Really enjoyed the visit, well worth the short drive from Bangor. Recommend bringing snacks at this time. Be nice to Moose, he likes plastic bottles! See more..

  8. 4.0 Sebago Lake Distillery (1 review)
    - Delicious Rum!
    Spent < 1 hour Distilleries
Three of us visited for the first time for a rum tasting and distillery tour. Four rums are produced here: Original (with caramel), Kopi (with cold-brewed coffee), Spider Island (with molasses), and Portland (aged in oak bourbon barrels). All were delicious! The tour was informational. Unfortunately at this time they don't have regular hours, but offer tastings and tours about once a month that are posted on Facebook. Rums are for sale on their website and certain distributors. There is a nice, spacious tasting room with a bar serving a few specialty cocktails during tastings. See more..
  9. 5.0 Stone Fort Distillery (1 review)

Stopped by to sample their whiskey and vodka and had a few cocktails, the whiskey sour and the strawberry basil martini. Both were excellent! It's a small place, but comfortable and welcoming, with friendly owners and patrons. The mill building will be completely renovated in a few years, at which time Stone Fort Distillery will expand. Several locals know about this place and are regulars. See more..
