5.0Dingley's Wharf(101 reviews) - Another awesome sunset Pontoon boat rental Temporarily closed - Closed until May 25, 2023 Waterskiing & Jetskiing • Gear Rentals • Boat Rentals • Stand Up Paddleboarding • Kayaking & Canoeing
Fourth year we have rented the Pontoon boat w slide for the sunset cruise 1.5 hrs went by quick but just enough time for a stop to slide/play in water then 4 long tube rides then one last slide/play stop. Short but sweet. Awesome helpful staff and easy to drive/manage boat & included tube big enough for 3 riders! We love it!See more..
This is our second experience renting from Captain Rogers and we will continue to rent from him whenever we make the trip to Moosehead. The ease of renting a pontoon was great. He goes through all of the boat's features and points of safety prior to departing. He was extremely helpful on our most recent trip and my family and I were most grateful. I highly recommend Captain Rogers if you plan on taking a trip to Moosehead Lake. There is no greater way to see the lake!See more..
I would highly recommend! The check out/in process was very simple and the boat was in very good condition. We rented a speedboat but most other people were renting their pontoon boats. The boat came with everything that you would need for a fun filled day out on Sebago.See more..

My wife and I and two friends spent the first week of September paddling the St. Croix river with Jason Cross, a Master Maine Guide and founder of Smoking Rivers. This was our second multi-day trip with Jason and even better than the first. We’re lightly experienced canoeists in our late 50s. Jason gave super clear instructions on how to navigate the white water, found glorious camping spots, helped us see everything from beavers to moose to smallmouth bass. And every day he cooked the world’s heartiest meals over the camp fire. We’ve known a half a dozen Maine guides and Jason is one of the most thoughtful, organized and at the same time, easygoing and fun. If you’ve ever wanted to try a guided canoe and camping trip, we can recommend Jason and Smoking Rivers very, very highly.See more..
Brightside Marine -- a poorly managed business with serious cash flow problems. They over promise, under deliver, behave abusively and held our boat hostage until we arrived with a Sheriff and $2,200 in cash. This sad story started last summer. We brought our 17’ fishing boat to Shawn Grant, owner of Brightside. He was knowledgeable and immediately diagnosed the problem. The transom was rotten. They could store and winterize the boat, and have it fixed by mid June 2022. Red flag #1: November 2021 we receive a call asking us to prepay for the storage/winterization, or they can’t meet payroll. $1,189 paid by credit card. Red flag #2: After my husband telephoned several times, Shawn said, “Stop calling and bothering the help. Don’t call us! We’ll call you!” And then he blocked his calls. Red flag #3: Mid June 2022, the boat hasn’t been started yet. They call with a new quote of $6,000 and request a 50% deposit. $3,000 paid by credit card. Red flag #4: Four days before we arrive, text comes in asking for another $2,000. They’ve “burned” thru the deposit and need more funds. The end’s in site, so we again pay by credit card. Arrive in Maine 7/2. Boat not ready until 7/13!! In the meantime, no loaner boat available. Last straw, Shawn calls yelling about our interaction with the staff on why the boat wasn’t ready on time. In a loud, threatening voice he said he was closing our account and would no longer accept a credit card. Show up with $2,200 in $100 bills. Pay in cash or NO boat! That’s when we called the Sheriff, who thankfully went with us to get the boat. Turns out, this wasn’t their first call about Shawn and Brightside Marine. And I suspect, it won’t be their last.See more..

You have a lot of choices for boat rentals on Long Lake, and I've tried a few of them. Gateway Marina has been my marina of choice for the past several years. Jerry and his family are great to deal with. The boats are in fantastic condition (in many cases new), and are ready to go at the appointed reservation time. Gateway is not as big as some of the other marinas on Long Lake, so advance reservations are a must. (Their rental rates are a little higher than some others, but I believe in this case you get what you pay for.) Also, if you are staying on the northern half of Long Lake, Gateway's location in Harrison is super convenient.See more..
Such a wonderful place with wonderful owners! We had such a blast kayaking on the Saco River. They are at the lower end, so it was quieter. The owners make you feel like part of the family. Lots of play space for the kids. Will ABSOLUTELY be going back again!See more..
