One of our favorite places to be! White powder sand, clean, well maintained and clear water. On this visit we enjoyed 4 nights walking at sunset, each different and beautiful! One night was watching a thunderstorm with lightning lighting up the shoreline ( from our balcony). Clearwater has great sidewalks and a huge selection of restaurants just a few steps away. 6. 4.5 Downtown St Petersburg (492 reviews)
    - Paradise Found

    Downtown St Petersburg image
I really love the look and feel of downtown St Petersburg. I’m not sure what it is, maybe its the architecture or the salt sea air, but it’s definitely got a Mediterranean flavor to it: sort of a mix between between Nice and Monica but on a smaller scale. People were out and about early enjoying coffee and a croissant at the sidewalk cafe’s much like they do in the south of France. Others were strolling along the harbor or sitting under the banyan tree soaking up the sun. And lets not forget the swish boutiques where one can easily part with ones hard earned money. I haven't even started on the Dali or Chihuly Museum or the free Downtown Looper Trolley that takes you there, Dang but I want to move here. See more..

  8. 5.0 Museum of Geneva History (1 review)
    - First Visit on a Sunday
Sunday: 2:00 PM - 4:00 PM Spent 1-2 hours Historic Sites • Historic Walking Areas • Cemeteries
I am friends with a couple members of the Geneva Historical and Genealogical Society, INC & was able to get a tour of the museum (which is only open for tours on the 2nd & 4th Sunday from 1400 to 1600). It is free but donations are always welcome. Quite small inside but lots to see & read about. I definitely could've stayed longer than the hour I was there b/c I know I didn't see or read everything. Very interesting & quite of few artifacts that I remember from my grandparent's house. Museum items are always rotated so just b/c I've walked through it today doesn't mean that the same items will be there next time. Some items are replaced w/others. The place should really be bigger to allow for all items to be displayed at the same time. Parking is free but limited to what can be accommodated out in front of the building. See more..
