Over 100 years ago, The Baltimore Museum of Art (BMA) was founded on the belief that access to art and ideas is integral to a vibrant and healthy civic life. This belief is at the heart of the BMA and remains our core value. The BMA has long focused on acquiring the art of the present moment, while maintaining and deepening a historic collection made relevant through vigorous development and reinterpretation in all collecting areas. Through the courageous and risk-taking vision of previous Museum leaders, the BMA assembled and presented one of the most important collections of 18th-, 19th-, and 20th-century art in the United States. These visionary actions established the fundamental character of this Museum. Building on this legacy of excellence, the BMA will form an equally compelling collection for the 21st century. Our guide Suki was so energetic, engaging and knowledgeable about the river. Not only was our river escaped enjoyable it was also filled with juicy tidbits of the areas history and importance. Medieval Times Maryland Castle image
On the surface the ticket price seems expensive but considering you get a dinner and 2.5 hour show, I think it’s a decent value. We went to celebrate my moms 80th birthday and had an absolute blast. The staff were all super friendly and my kids had a great time. There is a big “great hall” that you hang out in before the dinner starts and there are loads of souvenirs to look at. The prices were actually reasonable for play shields and swords and stuff. The staff wasn’t pushy at all for you to purchase things and they were quick to let you look/hold things. I’d highly recommend to any family. See more..

We visited the zoo for our first time on a sunny Sunday afternoon 2 or 3 weekends ago. We have a beach house in OC and had never visited this zoo before and kicked ourselves now for now doing so sooner! While it was a cold and breezy day, it was sunny and lots of people were out. Most of the animals were too (some Alpaca's even had coats on!). We got to see the Wallaby's, Jaguar, Burrowing Owls, Flamingos, Wild Turkeys, etc. The park is free and they do have donation boxes at the entrances/exits and we were glad to "chip in"! Lots of free parking at either ends of the zoo. See more..

Found this cute little place walking back to the hotel after the Aquarium. Gia the owner was super sweet to us, since we didn't have a reservation we were a little nervous that we wouldn't be able to get in. The food was great, full of flavor. The Chicken Cacciatorre was delicious! The cannoli that we got to which is not pictured was the best cannoli I've ever had, so light. Only downfall I could say was that we had to pay for oil and parmesan cheese for our bread. Overall great place to eat, highly recommend! See more..

    - Freshness, Cleanliness, and A Lot of Fun
Saturday: 12:00 PM - 10:00 PM Spent 1-2 hours Breweries
Guinness Open Gate Brewery & Barrel House image
My favorite part was the generous serving of beer for the guided tasting. Our tour guide Alex was extremely knowledgeable and super funny. He answered the group's questions well, even saying "I don't know" when he was not sure of an answer. And above all, the freshness of the flavors were amazing. The only minus is quite understandable, and that is that it got noisy because of the crowds at that hour, which was 6:00 p.m., making the provided headphones a total necessity. But because the walls and floors are exposed concrete, all the noise of the surrounding conversations get very loud. The place is beautifully appointed both inside and outside, meticulously clean and neat. I will go again, and many times God willing! See more..

There were interesting decorations, an under the sea theme for the indoor and outdoor was fun too. The a/c was kicking, people wore masks while adhering to social distance. The people/staff were friendly. The bathrooms were clean. Several moving objects, not too difficult and virtually guaranteed a hole in one. We had several hole in ones. We also played the 23rd street and 28th in addition to this one. We plan to come back soon and hit the one on 126ish. We bought the pass, so for 20 dollars a person you can play all day as many times as you like all courses and locations. Great deal!! See more..

    Wisp Resort image
We went to Wisp in July to take advantage of some of the activities they had to offer. We started with the mountain coaster. The ride itself is fast and fun. You have control of the brakes and can zoom down the mountain pretty fast. However, that also means that slower riders can slow down the line for everyone. We waited about 1.5 hours to get on. When some riders take it down the mountain too slow, the staff has to wait for them to clear the track before they send others up. Three of us went onto the coaster so we bought a 3-pack for $44 (plus tax) so all three of us could go down one time. We also tried the spider monkey ropes course. This was also fun and challenging. The staff manning the course was helpful and friendly. Our youngest enjoyed playing on the small playground, too. See more..

    Havre de Grace Promenade image
Havre de Grace is gaining a great reputation as a fun family place to visit with its historical sites, good restaurants, quaint little stores and things to do. Our visit there for the annual Ice Festival was great fun! The streets in the center of town were closed off for pedestrians and many of the local shops and restaurants had beautiful ice sculptures created in front of their shops for the event. In addition, there were fun activities for the kids like face painting, smores roasting and even a cornhole game made of solid ice! Of course, the local stores, coffee shops and restaurants were all open and the other local sights like the lighthouse and promenade were available, too. Families and kids filled the streets and it was just a great atmosphere and a fun way to spend Sunday afternoon. See more..
