    Saint Michaels Winery image
My second time at a wine tasting and bought a couple bottles out of it! I couldn’t recommend the Gollywobbler black any more than I could. It tastes exactly like a grape soda and is highly addictive. The most fun wine I’ve ever had. I’d recommend coming here whenever you can. See more..
  2. 4.5 Linganore Winecellars (165 reviews)
    - Fun winery with plenty of open seating and pizza options
    Sunday: 12:00 PM - 5:00 PM Spent 2-3 hours Wineries & Vineyards
    Linganore Winecellars image
My friends came here last minute on a busy Saturday afternoon. We arrived around 5 PM and the parking lot was almost full. Linganore has plenty of space to have a picnic, enjoy some wine, food trucks or just take in the great ambience. There is also a huge field up the hill that is great for photos and to catch the sun. The cheese, sangria and wines in general inside the main shop were delicious. The pizza at the food truck was delicious. Cant go wrong with their brick oven pepperoni or margarita pizzas. I love the spacing around the grass here. You have plenty of room between the chairs and tables. Even with a party of 20 we were close enough to rub elbows with anyone. The tables can easily be moved around and the space overall was very clean. Definitely one of my favorite new wineries in Maryland. I'd recommend going early and trying to find an area that has shade. See more..

A group of friends all purchased tickets to see a movie on Running Hare's big screen. The cost was $25/car and you could use your radio to hear the movie but I thought their speakers did a great job. Food, wine, wine slushies, beer, and popcorn were available for purchase. We enjoyed the pizza and there were two flavors of wine slushies in two sizes. They accept credit cards. There are porta-johns with hand sanitizer. You might consider bringing hand wipes, lawn chairs, and snacks. You can be "together" with friends and still social distance. Sign up for notifications with Running Hare to be notified of the movies they are showing for given dates. See more..

Beautiful location with amazing staff members. I was visiting my family and we decided to come here on a Wednesday during covid times. They offer outdoor seating with blankets provided inside free of charge. They will also start a fire for you if its cold outside. Since its outdoor seating you can have large groups. They were out of their campaigns so they let me bring in my own since that's the only thing I drink. They offer a verity of snacks and drinks. You can also bring your dogs! Their staff members were so nice and outgoing. I highly recommend spending a few hours here. *Face masks are required inside when ordering or while using the restrooms. They also have a cute shop inside if you wanted to purchase a hoodie or a mug. See more..

  12. 4.0 Chateau Bu-De (57 reviews)
    - A Day To Remember!
    Sunday: 11:00 AM - 7:30 PM Spent 2-3 hours Wineries & Vineyards
    Chateau Bu-De image
Born out of our love of fine wines and cheeses, Chateau Bu-De vineyard & winery has become the premiere location for fine wines. After traveling the world and sampling different wines, we decided to make our way back to the US and craft the finest wines right here on the Eastern shore of Maryland. Our biggest challenge was finding perfect, high-quality grapes for world class wines. Hence, our vineyard was established. We are dedicated to offering only the finest wines. We have also taken great care in assembling a fabulous team of winemaker's, vintners and employees. Our family-owned & women operated vineyard & winery is located on 440 acres a top the Bohemia River & Scenic Byway 213 in Chesapeake City, Maryland. The original site of Augustine Herrman's historical Bohemia Manor Farm. Augustine Herrman was the founder of Bohemia Manor and the first Lord of the manor. See more..
  13. 4.0 Basignani Winery (56 reviews)
    - Fun time at the vineyard
    Sunday: 12:00 PM - 6:00 PM Wineries & Vineyards
    Basignani Winery image
My wife and I attended a Towson University Alumni event at the Vineyard. A Beatles tribute band, Saving Sergeant Pepper, played during the event. The band was good, but not great. There was plenty of green space for our chairs and the grounds are very attractive. We bought a bottle of Riesling to share while we listened to the music. It was a little sweet, but was still pretty enjoyable. We bought another bottle to take home, along with a bottle of the Vidal Blanc. The wine prices were reasonable, and they were not increased for the event. I only have one complaint. There were probably 100-200 people in attendance, and only one indoor bathroom for women, and one outdoor port-a-pot for the men. For this many people, there needs to be an appropriate increase in sanitary facilities. See more..

    Serpent Ridge Vineyard image
If you are local to Westminster, you should be able to speak to the wines of Serpent Ridge. It is a family owned winery that prides themselves with caring for their grapes every single day. I know this because when I drive to work in the morning, I see the owners themselves out tending the vines. You may not think that Maryland can compete with a California cabernet but I challenge you to stop by and put that challenge to the test. I promise that you will not only love the wine but you will also be treated like family. See more..

We really enjoyed meeting the winemakers and hearing their story of hardship & triumph to fulfill their dream. So happy for them to have won some awards on their wines, especially being so new. Love the huge and new warehouse-like tasting room with PLENTY of entertainment & relaxing space. It was a rainy day when we were there and their grass hadn't come in yet but once it does I know it'll look great! We're always very happy when wineries let our well-behaved & socialized Chow Chow puppy come into the tasting area so we can sit, enjoy and take in all there is. We have some great pics there! Sunday: 12:00 PM - 7:00 PM Spent 2-3 hours Wineries & Vineyards
    Red Heifer Winery image
On a day out wine tasting while visiting some Maryland friends, the 4 of us stopped by hoping to taste a few wines. We ended up spending a couple hours hanging out listening to a very cool jazz-funk band overlooking the beautiful view and ordering pizza to go with our bottle of red. The owners were so friendly, and although they've only been open for 2 years (and committing their lives to it for the last 5), they had so many different wines. You can tell from the first sip that they really put their hearts into the winemaking and their business. As for the wine itself, I liked that their whites are unoaked, my personal preference. The reds were delicately balanced with distinct and interesting notes that really work for each wine - well planned by the winemakers. It's definitely worth a drive up the hill for both nice people and good wine! See more..

We LOVED the balloons, the food, the music and all the vendors were awesome! The parking fees of $35 for corn field VIP parking was ridiculous, but thankfully we didn't park in the lots were u have to get a ride (HUGE LINES)! The wine offered was limited and expensive. I was very disappointed that I brought 13 people with me and the winery ran out of glasses! While you can find vineyards that offer seasonal tastings, it is very unusual for a vineyard to actually have a store-front location in and around The Chesapeake Bay (town of North East, MD.).where you can really take your time and savor the tastes, bins, and a lot more. The Eastern Shore town o North East (approx. 2,200 population) is located on a peninsula that sticks -out into the Bay (13 miles from the town) along the banks of the Northeast River. Actually the five rivers that form the Chesapeake Bay are all there (Susquehanna, Northeast, Elk, Bohemia and the Sassafras). Very peaceful winery well organized for tasting their wide range of white, red and fruity wines. I really liked 2/3 of the probably a dozen tastes of their "full" tasting range ($12), which is more than I do in most wineries I have visited, especially on the East coast of the US. COVID protocols taken very seriously (much appreciated!). Their chardonnays and sweet Traminette were standouts for me (I generally prefer white wines), and I plan to be back next weekend to sample their mulled wine. Would be a great place to hang out in warmer weather, and is only minutes away from Cedarville State Forest and campground. I happily procured a nice range of wines to serve at Christmas following my tasting! See more..
