5.0Blue Crab Chesapeake Charters(501 reviews) - Two wonderful days of sailing on the Bay Monday: 10:00 AM - 9:00 PM Boat Tours • Sightseeing Tours • Private Tours • Day Trips
We've known Mark and Suzanne of Blue Crab Charters for many years and have always enjoyed our sails with them. We went just before Memorial Day weekend as we noted the bad weather coming in. We did an evening sail with 2 other couples of Thursday evening and enjoyed a lovely sunset on the bay. Our day sail on Friday was quite kick-ass and Mark turned the helm over to early on and chatted with Ellen and me the whole time. The sailboat is first class and in excellent condition.See more..
Easy booking and boarding of boat. Staff are exactly how you hope they will be during this relaxing cruise to see the canal and shoreline.See more..
5.0Fun Time Water Sports(183 reviews) - Excellent customer service! Monday: 9:00 AM - 8:00 PM Boat Tours • Waterskiing & Jetskiing • Boat Rentals
**Excellent** customer service!! We purchased the Funtime booking protection and it was well worth it. We unfortunately had rain on and off throughout our week- long vacation to Deep Creek, but because we had the protection plan we were able to easily move around our reservation time to best fit the good weather windows. The staff at Funtime were very helpful and accommodating and we feel like they went above and beyond to make it work out for us! The boats were in great condition and easily held the 11 people in our family (6 adults and 5 children). We rented a tube and the kids (and adults!) loved it. I highly recommend Funtime, especially because I'm not aware of another outfitter at Deep Creek that offers booking protection. See more..
4.5Chester River Packet Company(72 reviews) - Great way to spend a Sunday afternoon Boat Tours • Sightseeing Tours
Excellent way to spend a Sunday afternoon! Boat is very clean and staff and crew couldn’t have been nicer. Includes a nice narrative by a well-informed Captain. (I had NO idea the Chestertown area had such an interesting history.) Lunch was excellent as well! Worth every Penny of the $45 p/couple charge. Definitely looking forward to a repeat visit!See more..
I took my 7 and 10 year old grandchildren on this tour. This rating is from the 7 year old, as this was her favorite activity while on vacation. The 10 year old tried to act too cool for it, but got caught up in the energy of the actors and other kids and had a great time. (I think 12 year or over would probably find this too childish). The "tour" was an hour long, which I thought was just perfect. The actors kept the kids engaged and held their attention. The boat leaves the dock on the half hour, so get there a good 20 minutes earlier (they open the gate 30 minutes before launch), to get your kids outfitted and settled.See more..
5.0Chesapeake City Water Tours(69 reviews) - Passing through begged staying Monday: 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM Boat Tours
Wow. We. Did we want to stay. Passing thru on the way home to Delaware from our usual trek to/from Lancaster, PA, we decided to take a peek at south Chesapeake City that views north Chesapeake City, Maryland across the C & D canal (Chesapeake Bay & Delaware Bay). Glad we peeked. Sorry we didn't stay...this time. We plan to be back...soon. What a neat place. The Canal, boats everywhere, people mingling about, sweet old period homes, restaurants to eat local fare, shops and boutiques to wander about, the 17 mile Mike Castle and Ben Cardin rail-trails pass through here situated along the canal. Vantage points here provide up close and personal experience with the cargo ships traversing to/from the two bays. Whew! Can't wait to explore and experience Chesapeake City north and south.See more..
5.0Shardana Sailing Charters(50 reviews) - Birthday celebration on the bay. Monday: 9:00 AM - 8:00 PM Multi-day Tours • Boat Tours • Boat Rentals • Private Tours • Day Trips
This was the first time the family and I were on a private charter cruise. We weren’t exactly sure what to expect. My family and I chartered the trip to celebrate my husband’s 60th birthday and due to the pandemic was hesitant to be around a lot of people. We so much appreciated the fact that you allowed us to bring our 2-year-old Goldendoodle on the trip. She too had a great time. The trip from beginning to end (3.5 hours) exceeded our expectation. The private charter exceeded our expectation due to the fact of the captain and his first mate’s professionalism, experience, and knowledge about sailing. Captain Andrew’s sailboat is beautiful, and we hope to schedule another charter soon preferably an overnight adventure. Thanks Captain Andrew and Andre—we had a great time.See more..
Sure, you can walk around the National Mall and deal with hoards of people or take the water taxi and deal with hoards of people or take a bus and deal with....see where I’m going with this? This is a unique experience that allows you a fantastic view of D.C. Not only is the staff incredibly professional and polite, they are very knowledgeable about the surrounding area and provide you with facts via radio. You control the boat and they go at the pace in which you feel comfortable. I am a boat owner but these boats are way more fun! Ignore the price (which is reasonable given the time (2-2 1/2 hours) and experience) and go home with a fantastic story and pictures you can’t get simply walking around. I can’t recommend this enough and will be going back!!!See more..
5.0Pocomoke River Cruises(26 reviews) - Make the time for this One...You won't regret it! Boat Tours
This relaxing excursion on the Pocomoke River provided a wonderful time to explore an eastern shore treasure we had't seen before. Captain Jerry made it entertaining for all, as he had a wealth of knowledge about the river and its inhabitants. As a bald eagle led us on our way, it was exciting to see, of course the bald eagle itself, but also blue herons, the beaver lodges, the bald cypress trees, and turtles sunbathing. One of the many favorite memories we will have of our 34th anniversary weekend.See more..
We had a group of 9 people (7 adults/2 children) on board MV Breeze 2-hour evening cruise on 25 September 2021. The owner Steven, super personable, returned all my calls, answering all my questions, and helped me with the booking. We had a memorable time celebrating my mother’s big birthday. The weather couldn’t be better. The captain gave us some history lessons and local knowledge of the areas. The boat was very clean and drinks were great!! Cover charges and drink prices were very reasonable. There were only 2 other couples with us on this public cruise which pretty much felt “private” and we couldn’t complain. If you’re looking for some relaxation with beautiful views with friends/family, this would be it!! We would definitely return the next time we’re in the area. Thank you again Steven and all your staff!!See more..

4.5Miss Clare Cruises(22 reviews) - Nice activity in Chesapeake City Boat Tours
Other than shopping and dining in this quaint little town, there is a nice museum and the Miss Clare cruises. A lovely and knowledgeable older couple will share a lot of interesting information about the canal. When the boat is out on the canal, it may be unclear where to wait for it, but it's right between the Chesapeake restaurant and the cute little ice cream shop. There is no significant sign but there are a couple of small American flags and brochures that indicate you are in the right place. Relax on the park benches and enjoy the view.See more..
We booked with Captain Rob and Heather for my aunts 50th birthday. All of my correspondence was via email From the start, Captain Rob allowed me to know his messages will be delayed due to being on the boat majority of the time. He was informative and to the point. I had no issue with making a deposit with Heather. I was given information regarding the trip. We arrived and Heather immediately provided instructions and we were out crabbing. My aunt loved it. The atmosphere was great. Both communicated and made us feel welcomed on their boat. We left pleased with enough crabs to feed our entire family. It was a great experience. We did not book via Groupon.See more..
A great day trip. Very pleasant ride from Crisfield to Smith Island. Boat leaves very promptly at 12:30 from Crisfield, and returns very promptly at 4PM. Dock is right in front of Bayside Inn restaurant and staff is waiting for visitors to disembark and seats you immediately. Service was very friendly and efficient. Food was good. Try the hush puppies as an appetizer, and soft shell crabs were nicely prepared. Tried 2 varieties of Smith Island cake and both were delicious. Wasn’t a whole lot of time for exploring after lunch but we walked a few blocks and spoke to a few residents who were quite friendly and happy to answer questions about their life on the island. Museum has an informative video about life on island.See more..

5.0Experience Sail(13 reviews) - Trip of a lifetime Monday: 12:00 AM - 11:59 PM Boat Tours
For my husband’s 65th birthday, I surprised him with a 5 day sailing trip. Capt Joe exceeded my expectations. We spent one night anchored in a secluded area with a beautiful sunset. The next night in Annapolis which is full of history and charm and another night in St Mary’s Marina where we had access to their pool and bathhouse. Each stop had different things that made them unique. His sailboat is very clean and roomy. We had our own “head” connected to our small but doable room. Joe is very accommodating. Due to bad weather he moved our trip back a day. He let my husband fish and do as much sailing as he wanted. He’s very easy to be around which is good since you are together a lot over 5 days! Joe was a complete stranger when we first got on the boat but easily became a friend. I highly recommend this charter to anyone who has some interest in sailing. You will not be disappointed!See more..

This was a great time. We went out for a sail and even dredged for oysters. It was very exciting to see how many we caught. The crew and captain were very knowledgeable and professional. I’d recommend this to anyone looking to spend some time on the water and learn about the oyster trade.See more..
4.0Pier 7 Resort Marina(8 reviews) - Great place for informal dining and libations Monday: 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM Boat Tours • Boat Rentals
We were with two other couples for a happy hour and casual dining experience. My 5 stars is based on how well they do with respect to their intended mission and not how they would compare with a gourmet restaurant or high end resort. My choice was their generous bacon cheeseburger which was one of the better ones I have gotten around here. They willingly allowed me to pick a wide range substitutes for the fries. I also compliment the server who was honest enough suggest that we order bottled beer or other drinks because their draft was still coming up to temperature. Our group spread their food and drink orders which were met quickly. They also offer many seating options, most shaded but well ventilated. They also have a play area for children. Their were many customers but this did not hinder service and served as an indication to me of their popularity.See more..
We were contemplating purchasing a catamaran and trying out different models, including Seawind. Sail Away was wonderful and helped plan our trip in the Chesapeake and oriented us to the boat well - giving us a deep understanding of all the systems prior to shoving off. The boat was clean and well maintained. Tommy and Amy gave us their favorite spots and arranged for an itinerary that turned out to be a wonderful mix of visiting popular towns and finding some spots in the wild that made our trip balanced and very enjoyable.See more..
5.0Fishing Charters & Boat Tours(4 reviews) - Day on the Chespeake Bay Boat Tours • Fishing Charters & Tours • Private Tours
Great time today, my family had a great fishing trip. Capt Phil took us out to Hoopers Island lighthouse and went back to the Honga River where we did some bottom fishing with crab bait. Caught our limit of nice stripe bass and one 25lb Black Drum. Phil show us plenty of wildlife on the bay which included Pelicans and assortment of other bids, as well as the lighthouse. Whole experience of this trip made us realise why beautiful this area of the Chesapeake Bay is.See more..
5.0Delmarva Sailing School(1 review) - Sailing school at the top of its class Multi-day Tours • Boat Tours • Private Tours
Myself, my partner and a buddy of ours spent a week on Captain Mike Browns boat Gallivant learning to sail on the Chesapeake Bay. To those interested in learning to sail I highly recommend this school. Responses to questions and emails is prompt, study materials are shipped quickly and instructions are clear. We finished the week with our ASA 101, 103 and 104 certifications and had fun learning. Captain Mike was calm no matter what came up during our week of training. We lived aboard his 39’ boat and visited a different marina nearly every night, learning both to sail and about the Chesapeake Bay. Visit his web site and find out for yourself!See more..
