Great market in what was once probably a grocery store in a shopping center. Open 3 days a week. Had lunch at the Kountry Grille - breakfast service ends at 1:30 on Saturday. Great food and great friendly service. Will happily stop in again when I’m in the area. See more..

Saturday: 8:00 AM - 9:00 PM Farmers Markets
    Captain White’s Seafood City image
This vendor has been at Maine Avenue Fish Market for a long time! It used to be our favorite place to buy crabs and fish in the 1970's, particularly when we had guests who loved to eat Maryland Crabs. I took pictures of the various items they sell, particularly the various sizes of SHIRMPS and CRABS. I plan to come back here with proper container so they would not smell when I buy and take them home while riding the Bus/Metro. See more..

    Bel Air Farmers' Market image
Today is opening day of Bel Air Farmers Market for 2022. Overnight rains had left a bright, clear, sparkling sky. The market was quite crowded with customers, vendors, baby strollers, and the ubiquitous dogs on leashes. The usual places to find breakfast had returned: CoffeeCoffee, Pairings Bistro, and Live.Crust Pizza among others. Several stands were selling herbs for planting and spring onions/scallions. Some new vendors were see. Including one making a salsa/chutney combination. Confections like macaroons, caramel pretzels and shortbread were available. There was a long line for coffee at one end and for fresh mushrooms at the other. Several vendors sold treats for the numerous four legged visitors. Everyone was Ina festive mood as it appeared spring may finally be happening. I came home with basil plants, country bacon, leeks and more. See more..

    - Not local corn
    Saturday: 10:00 AM - 6:00 AM Spent < 1 hour Farmers Markets
My husband and another couple stopped by on Sunday so hungry for local corn. I bought a dozen and was so disappointed. If it was local it was way too old. No taste and big flavorless kernels. I had a dozen the week before from Britner’s so I know what it’s supposed to taste like. See more..
  14. 5.0 Graul's Market (1 review)
    - enjoyable shopping experience with Hereford Blend Coffee and seasonal displays
Other Food & Drink • Farmers Markets
    Graul's Market image
Graul’s of Hereford is a well stocked medium sized super market with a wide variety of offerings from fresh vegetables to prepared meals. The red barn exterior design is welcoming. The prepared meals must come in handy to residents returning home from work in the city since the store is right across from the interstate exit. Parking is plentiful. Displays of seasonal items are creative and appealing. Local ice cream companies are represented, and I found my favorite Taharka Brothers. There is a large selection of fresh meats, seafood and cold cuts. I was impressed that they carried cold water laundry detergent, when it is difficult to get in some of the bigger chains. I had to get a bag of their special Hereford Blend coffee. Checkout was easy, and staff were efficient. An overall enjoyable shopping experience. See more..

  16. 3.0 Bg's Farm Market (1 review)
    - Small Farm Stand
    Farmers Markets
    Bg's Farm Market image
Stopped at this little farm stand on our way home from the nearby zoo. We were drawn in by the HUGE strawberry and old pickup truck parked out front. Just outside the market they had some flowers for sale. Inside the had a small farm stand that offered produce such as potatoes, asparagus, yams, cabbage, lettuce, celery, apples, carrots, peppers, onions, spinach, oranges, bananas, and etc. They also had a refrigerated case that I believe had meats and cheese in it. In the back room they had a small selections of baked goods. We bought apples and some fresh spinach. We were looking for blueberries, but they did not have them. The spinach from BG's was excellent. My husband really enjoyed it. On our way out, the kids wanted to stop to look at the BIG STRAWBERRY. Nice photo op. Overall, just a small farm stand. I think it is OK. I felt it was sufficient, but could have offered more. Prices were not bad, but not the cheapest. Staff was friendly and place seemed clean. I would stop here again if in the area. See more..

    - Well organized market with colorful pumpkins and peppers
Spent < 1 hour Farmers Markets
    Misty Valley Farms image
Misty Valley Farms has a beautiful market stand at the corner of Falls Road and Shawan/Tufton Roads. A large tent is places on a well kept lawn so people can buy their fresh fruits and vegetables rain or shine. During this visit we were impressed with the displays of seasonal pumpkins around the bases of the large trees that dot the property. Every possible color of the Cucurbita family was seen from yellow to blue pumpkins to long neck green and white gourds, to various shades of red. Likewise we found different types of peppers in not just red and green but also purple and yellow. Large juicy peaches and plums were highlights of the available fruits. Red skinned and sweet potatoes were sold in small boxes or help yourself sizes. Bright green string beans were must to add to my basket. Parking is plentiful and staff are helpful. We enjoyed the market as part of our sightseeing along Falls Road, but clearly there were more local customers stocking up, and no wonder. See more..
  19. 5.0 Deep Run Farms (1 review)
    - Fresh and seasonal
Spent < 1 hour Farmers Markets
    Deep Run Farms image
Deep Run Farms has a nearly 50 year history providing fresh fruit and vegetables to the central Maryland area. One can subscribe to a weekly box, visit the roadside stand, or attend one of several farmers markets in surrounding counties. At Today's farmers market, Iwas impressed with the mini mountain of fresh corn while the season lasts. Both colorful sweet peppers and jalapeños were available as were various melons... yellow water melon, cantaloupe, and honey dew. Squash and eggplant means I can make ratatouille today. See more..
  20. 5.0 Andy's Eggs And Poultry (1 review)
    - Fresh eggs and meats
    Farmers Markets
    Andy's Eggs And Poultry image
Andy's is easily recognized from Harford Road by its classic red barn with a large sign encouraging people to "buy local". I stopped to refill my carton of jumbo brown eggs, which I had first bought at their stand at the Bel Air Farmers Market. The small shop next to the barn was seasonally decorated and had freezers full of chicken, turkey, beef and pork products. Bought some pork sausage for a recipe I planned for stuffed peppers. Also got some ground chicken and beer bratwurst. My sister loves blueberries and maple syrup, so I had to get her the unique sausages that contained both. Also in the spirit of buy local, the shop had a freezer full of ice cream from a local creamery. Regular stops are now on my agenda. See more..
  21. 5.0 Essex Farmers' Market (1 review)
    - good place to pick up dinner ingredients.
    Farmers Markets
    Essex Farmers' Market image
The Essex Farmers Market is situated off the main highway with plenty of parking. Unlike most markets in the area, this one operates in the late afternoon. The vegetable stand was seeing a brisk business, and we stocked up on tomatoes, cucumbers, fresh onions, and strawberries. Live music was provided. Two vendors had handmade jewelry. The baked goods were enticing, so we got peach bread, oatmeal cookies, and a cherry crostada. The information booth run by the Chamber of Commerce had free recipe cards. A taco concession was setting up as we were finishing. Overall a good place to pick up dinner or it's ingredients. See more..
  22. 5.0 Peninsula Farms (1 review)
    - Neat little farmstand; delicious fruits and veggies!
    Farmers Markets
Fantastic local produce and friendly staff; all around worth a stop if you’re in the area. Be prepared for your visit, however- business hours can be irregular and were incorrectly listed on Google last time I checked, so call ahead to make sure they are open if you are visiting from further afield. They also are not accepting credit cards at this time- cash or check only!! We learned this the hard way!! See more..

  24. 5.0 J's Farm Market (1 review)
    - Fresh produce, convenient location
    Farmers Markets
    J's Farm Market image
J's Farm Market is conveniently located on the corner of Conowingo Road (US Route 1) and Waverly Drive just north of Hickory. It was a treat to find fresh produce this time of year, so I loaded up on things not found in the local grovery like daikon radishes and duck eggs. My other fresh produce choices included brussel sprouts, vine tomatoes, red onions, Yukon Gold potatoes, multi-colored 'regular' radishes, chicken chorizo sausage, and cameo apples. I even bought a box of spicy gum drops from among the variety of snacks and confections. I was impressed with the variety of dairy and beauty/hygiene products from local farms and producers. There was even a small section for unusual houseplants. Prices were quite reasonable and service very friendly and efficient. I liked their FaceBook page so I could be aware of interesting new products as the seasons change. See more..
  25. 5.0 Havre De Grace Farmers Market (1 review)
    - A pleasant and productive Saturday morning at the Market
    Farmers Markets
Havre De Grace Farmers Market image
The weekly Havre de Grace Farmers Market is currently held at the junction of St. John Street and Congress Avenue. I found parking on a nearby street as the market staffs are actually set up in the street and the roads are blocked off. There were around three dozen dedicated and friendly vendors with a wide variety of wares who came from nearby as well as Cecil and Baltimore Counties. I stopped by two tents for wineries, one for coffee beans, another for cupcakes and confections, and another two for fresh vegetables and vegetable seedlings. My favorite was the Hatian pork and plantain stall where I got a tasty midmorning snack. A local musician was playing, and visitors were in a happy mood. I will need to return to check out the crafts and bring a cooler so I can take home some locally made ice cream. See more..
