  1. 4.5 Harry Grove Stadium (148 reviews)
    - Fun & family friendly in Frederick
    Saturday: Sports Complexes
    Harry Grove Stadium image
Treated the kids and the grandkids to a Saturday evening game and it was so fun. Going out to the local stadium is one of those things that you don’t realize how nice it is until you lose it. Perhaps we should all be supporting them a lot more. The crowd was sparse. The ticket price is reasonable (10 of us one for close to $100.) There’s extra activities for the kids. The food/beer is pricey but good- lots of choices. Our 5 year old grandson ran the bases with loads of other kids and was TRILLED. I was impressed by how friendly and helpful the staff was throughout the whole night, particularly their teen staff. Take yourself to a ballgame, you won’t be sorry. See more..

We went on a Saturday evening to the Shorebirds game and had a really good time! We arrived early it was $5 to park and once inside quickly found our seat 2 rows from the field behind home plate. We grabbed 2 hotdogs 3 sodas, nacho and a chicken tender basket with 3 ice creams was over $55! The ballpark was nice and cozy and the game was entertaining. The fireworks at the end of the game was a great show! See more..

  4. 4.5 Prince Georges Stadium (103 reviews)
    - Great Place to See the American Pasttime
    Saturday: Sports Complexes

There truly isn't a bad seat in the stadium. The Baysox are a AA minor league team for the Baltimore Orioles, and fun to watch. Food concessions offer a variety of choices, plus there's the Diamondback Restaurant for fancier fare. The carousel remains popular, with a ride long enough to be worth the ticket, and there are other offerings for the children to enjoy. There are various snips of entertainment between innings. On the nights with fireworks they put on a show that puts most community July 4th shows to shame. See more..
  5. 4.5 Adventure Sports Center International (85 reviews)
    - Whitewater rafting

We had a group of 13 in three rafts and had a great time. The weather was rainy, but the manager offered everyone splash guards to keep warm, which was great. Two of our guides were great and very accommodating. They did everything we could to make the experience fun. One of our guides was not as fun (Jeff). If you go try to avoid him. He can be very condescending and smarmy. In reading some of the other reviews, you can tell when people had him as a guide. Every other guide seemed to be about making the experience as much fun as possible for the customers. Jeff seemed to be annoyed at the customers lack of experience and mere existence at all. Avoid him, and it will be a blast. See more..

    UMBC Events Center image
Went in Sept 2021 for a concert. Earth Wind and Fire. It was expensive to buy tickets online with all the added fees but I went to the box office to buy them and there was only a small fee added. Convenient to get to and park and box office has convenient hours. Our seats were in section 201 and were pretty good for the show. The arena is not huge so any seat would be good in there. The concert was great too! Would probably be great to see the UMBC basketball team play in there. Clean. Friendly staff. See more..

EIT is one of the few affordable indoor tennis facilities in the area. The staff here are friendly and will answer all your questions. I like how they always have a tennis match on the TV in the waiting area. My kids have been taking tennis lessons here for almost two years. We all think Coach Matt is a great instructor. I would highly recommend coming to EIT to use the courts or take lessons. See more..
