Kevin Pawlak was our battlefield guide. Kevin is a very personable guide with a very interactive communication style. Kevin is extremely knowledgeable not only about the Maryland campaign, but of the overall Civil War context. I consider myself fairly knowledgeable, but Kevin constantly provided nuggets of facts that expanded my understanding. His insights were helpful to explain the pieces of the Maryland campaign; Antietam, South Mountain and Harper’s Ferry. I would highly recommend Kevin for anyone who wants to better understand the battlefield and the sacrifices made by those on both sides.See more..

This was our second time taking a tour with Bob. We did South Mountain this time and it was a revelation. Traveled to several different areas to get a sense of the battle, including some that would have been difficult to find and others, completely unmarked, that would have been impossible. The tour gave me a coherent sense of a battle I've always found difficult to understand. He also turned us on to sculptor Gary Casteel when he brought us to his North Carolina monument, tucked away in the woods near the Reno monument at Fox's Gap (we later went on to meet Gary at his studio and shop in Gettysburg, just one more thing we can thank Bob for). And, of course, the tour was full of the usual humor and artful storytelling. Just an amazing guy!See more..
We had a group of 9 people (7 adults/2 children) on board MV Breeze 2-hour evening cruise on 25 September 2021. The owner Steven, super personable, returned all my calls, answering all my questions, and helped me with the booking. We had a memorable time celebrating my mother’s big birthday. The weather couldn’t be better. The captain gave us some history lessons and local knowledge of the areas. The boat was very clean and drinks were great!! Cover charges and drink prices were very reasonable. There were only 2 other couples with us on this public cruise which pretty much felt “private” and we couldn’t complain. If you’re looking for some relaxation with beautiful views with friends/family, this would be it!! We would definitely return the next time we’re in the area. As we end 2020, this was an amazing family tour. Alex and Lisa were so personal and helpful and informative. True experts and knowledgeable about Harriet Tubman they took their time and showed and shared Cambridge over and over again! We would recommend them over and over!See more..
