I had the pleasure of giving a lecture recently at the C. Burr Artz Library. The building is quite beautiful on the inside. The meeting space was large and comfortable, but the best feature of the whole library is the amazing Maryland Room. This local history collection. The archives houses thousands of books, photos and ephemera representing the greater Frederick area. The staff is extremely knowledgeable and ready to work with researchers on a number of topics. Anyone doing research either on buildings or families in Frederick would be remiss to not make a visit to the Maryland Room. The Maryland Room manager is a superhero, you'll see!See more..
