4.0Medieval Times Maryland Castle(588 reviews) - Expensive…yes, but worth every penny!! Dinner Theaters • Theatre & Performances
On the surface the ticket price seems expensive but considering you get a dinner and 2.5 hour show, I think it’s a decent value. We went to celebrate my moms 80th birthday and had an absolute blast. The staff were all super friendly and my kids had a great time. There is a big “great hall” that you hang out in before the dinner starts and there are loads of souvenirs to look at. The prices were actually reasonable for play shields and swords and stuff. The staff wasn’t pushy at all for you to purchase things and they were quick to let you look/hold things. I’d highly recommend to any family.See more..
4.5Strathmore(275 reviews) - Arrive early to miss the parking rush Sunday: Theaters
Amazing venue. It’s small enough to get a great view of the performance, but with quality sound! I’d recommend to arrive about 30 minutes early from the start of your event because parking is pretty hectic unless you know to go down the ‘other’ Tucker Ln. You can also enjoy a nice beverage ahead of time too with a great bar selection. See more..
4.0Hippodrome Theatre(260 reviews) - Classic theatre, musical cast full of energy Theaters
Even though the cast bus and moving van were parked outside to carry the performers of Cats to their next destination, the theatre, the audience and the cast were full of energy. The acoustics were good. The seats are snug, but there is leg room. One appreciates the well maintained classic interior as well as black and white photos around the lobby depicting the theatre in its earlier days. Security at the entrance is minimally invasive. There are plenty of parking garages nearby. It is encouraging when a city can support the arts. See more..
4.5Toby's Dinner Theatre(245 reviews) - A bargain for a show and meal. Sunday: 10:00 AM - 9:00 PM Theaters • Dinner Theaters
Our group have been subscribers for years and we have been to all the shows and are never disappointed. We look forward to each show and have come to recognize the actors over the years. At one of the first shows, unknown to us, Toby was setting behind us and asked us our opinion. Thankfully we couldn't stop praising everything. The actors are so talented, the direction and choreography are wonderful and the food is delicious with a lot of variety. You get a wonderful show and meal.See more..
AFI is a national resource, not just a Silver Sprig attraction. But to have it as our local theater is a special delight. Right now they’re running an Iranian Film Festival, and we’ve been thrilling to some of the best filmmaking of the last 30 years. They also have current first release hits like “The Irishman” and numerous retrospectives all the time. He main theater and both smaller theaters are comfortable and classy.See more..
Avalon Theatre is located in downtown Easton next to good restaurants and parking spaces, it does bring great programs every week. It is a small theater and thus all seats are pretty decent. It has a bar and we were able to get in with drinks. Schedules are found in their website and Facebook pages.See more..
We decided to see a movie the first one in a few years and this was a great theater to get back into it. The luxury recliners are very nice and have a little tray the moves to put your food and drink on. The concession area is set up a little strange if you’ve never been you wouldn’t know that if you don’t want popcorn you don’t need to wait in the line and can walk around to grab a drink. They also have Pizza Hut pizza, desserts, plus some nachos in a grab and go section. We loved the self ticketing screens and the workers we interacted with were friendly. The womens bathroom I used was clean and stocked. The mens bathroom was not stocked with paper towels but clean.See more..

Love the ability to buy and select seats through Fandango. The reserved seats take so much pressure off! The concession menu is full with hot dogs, chicken strips, pizza, hot pretzel bites and more. Candy selection is limited but I've noticed this to be the case in theaters throughout the states. Best bet for candy is always a quick stop at CVS or Walgreens beforehand. The seats fully recline and are very comfortable. Well spaced. Clean and well maintained theater. Recommend.See more..
4.0Cinemark Towson(101 reviews) - Great place to see a movie on the big screen Movie Theaters
We went twice in the span of 2 or 3 weeks and was our first time back at a movie theater since the pandemic began. We could not have more pleased with the overall experience. The reserved seating is great, the power reclining seats are very comfortable, and the facility was clean.See more..

3.5Xscape 14(42 reviews) - Love coming to this theater Sunday: 9:30 AM - 11:00 PM Movie Theaters
I am a regular at this theater. I loved it from the time it opened it became my first choice in movie theaters instead of going all the way to the Hoffman or AMC in Shirlington, VA. Ticket prices are reasonable for the comfortability they afford, concession is slightly high, but it is a movie theater, so it is to be expected. The only complaint I have is that the theater has been cold every time I have gone. It's almost to the point that you want to bring a blanket or wear more layers of clothing especially in the winter when it is already freezing outside. I would recommend bringing a throw blanket to keep from being cold but other than that this theater is outstanding.See more..

3.0Regal Westminster 9(42 reviews) - My only theater, by choice Sunday: 11:00 AM - 11:30 PM Movie Theaters I just glanced on here and saw all of these negative reviews so I thought I'd put one in. First I will agree that the negative points mentioned are mostly true. It is small, no stadium seating, out dated, dirty?(I don't really think so, but who cares). Anyway, I do live in Carroll County and it is the only game in town. But I have two other theaters within 20 minutes that are much nicer. Why do I choose Westminster? Because they don't put up with low life garbage. When I watch a movie I want to hear it, not some group of jerks talking to each other the whole time. The management at Westminster will shut that crap down in an instant. Their customer service is awesome and they cater to people like me who want to see a movie and not have to deal with a bunch of low class idiots trying to ruin it for everyone. Thank you, Westminster regal. You are my only theater.See more..

3.5AMC Movie Theater(34 reviews) - More like a 3.5 Spent 2-3 hours Movie Theaters The added bar is a nice touch however the number of non-working recliners and heated seats seem to continue to grow. If they could find a way to cut down on the concession lines (we do have the rewards and dont have to wait in the long lines), it would be rated a 4.See more..
This is a wonderful place for some great music. They have concerts on Saturdays and Sundays throughout the summer. It's in a natural bowl with plenty of shade.Just bring a chair or blanket and maybe some refreshments and your all set. They also usually have a food truck serving everything from hot dogs to ice cream. The music is top notch, with everything from rock to country, blue grass and everything in between.I highly recommend Lurman as a place for families to spend a couple of hours on the weekend.See more..
4.5The Colonial Players(29 reviews) - Amazing Performance with all the Cautions Theaters
On our trip to Annapolis - we noticed that the Colonial Players was Open and they were taking all precautions with a completely masked audience. The four woman cast for the The Revolutionists was really good. The theater is in the round - most of the action was very easy to be engaged in. what was going on. They seated us on time with really nice spacing from others. The staff was great - We enjoyed the play.See more..

3.0AMC Loews Lexington Park 6(25 reviews) - Family friendly movie theater, with a bar Spent 2-3 hours Movie Theaters This theater is very comfortable and cozy. The reclining seats were a nice touch, it made watching a movie feel very comfortable. This movie theater has a bar, which was nice to enjoy a cocktail while watching a movie. However, the drink prices were a little expensive, but what do you expect when you are at a movie theater! The theater itself was small, which could be a positive or a negative, depending on the situation. We had a group of around 6 people and we were the only ones in the theater, which was great. The bartender was slow and did not know how to make drinks without looking at the bar card. The popcorn was ok, not too hot but we were able to add our own butter which made it flavorful. Overall this was a great movie theater experience.See more..
5.0The Newtowne Players(24 reviews) - Great Playhouse - NEVER disappointed Sunday: 2:30 AM - 5:30 AM Spent More than 3 hours Theaters

4.5Horizon Cinemas(20 reviews) - My Favorite Cinemas! Movie Theaters
I really enjoy the Horizon Cinemas. The Cinema offers easy parking and is senior friendly. The Cinema is smaller then the larger ones and easier to navigate. The staff is super friendly. Horizon offers a choice of four or five theaters. You can purchase your tickets as well as choice of seating on line ahead of time. The automated seats are wonderful pleather recliners with a little tray and a drink holder. Rewards program offer free popcorn and drinks after you purchase a certain number of movie tickets. The bathrooms are nice and clean. The Cinema is rather new and well maintained. This is my favorite place to watch movies. I love it here.See more..
4.0Amc Rivertown 12(18 reviews) - What a Suprise Spent 1-2 hours Movie Theaters
So... we have somehow become movie snobs... This place is such a surprise for end of a strip mall... Don't let the location or parking lot fool you. This interior is well lit clean and the people are friendly. The concessions are very cramped right at the front as soon as you walk in... but with assigned seating and recliners awaiting didn't mess with my experience. This is now are close to home goto theater... we even upgraded to get the priority concessions... Theaters aren't big but the view and sound are quality. Highly recommend.See more..

5.0Old Greenbelt Theatre(15 reviews) - Pop up theater was terrific! Spent 1-2 hours Movie Theaters
We went to see Downton Abbey movie. The showing was held in a "pop up theater" adjacent to the Old Greenbelt theater, which is being renovated. I was dubious at first, because there was a jazz fest going on in the courtyard right in front of the theater. I was afraid we wouldn't be able to hear the dialog. The pop up theater was small, about 35-40 seats. The seats were very comfortable and roomy. We could get popcorn and candy right next door. It turned out wonderfully. We had no problems hearing the dialog and the jazz fest moved to an indoor location after about a half hour and was no problem. They provided closed captioning devices and they offered a refund if you weren't satisfied with the amenities. I thought it was great and I loved the movie.See more..
I have seen some tough reviews and have to attribute them to people who did not know what they were buying. This is an opportunity to support the future of the arts, encourage students (who are supported by dedicated and passionate adults) and give life to a park venue that might otherwise go unused. If you are looking for professional dinner theater with the staff, cast and cuisine, go to one. This is dinner theater preparation - for your little ones and for the students. You get an ample and hot buffet, inexpensive wine and a production presented by the future of broadway. Go, enjoy, invest and take the family.See more..
5.0Mar-Va Theater(11 reviews) - FUN FRIENDLY AN FRUGAL Spent 2-3 hours Theaters We had been to the Marva twice in the past for live shows an they were great. This time we saw Despicable Me 3. The tickets cost $5 each.we got 1 Large popcorn an 1 small popcorn an 1 bottle of water $10...so for a total of $20.Of course the movie was fun.The theater is old and has character cool side lights an the seats are comfortable an the rows are wider than most modern theaters. They have put money an work into this place. Also the bathrooms have been modernized. They have volunteers an internships for high school an college students, I guess any one can volunteer. This might be why it is friendlier.Anyways ho there check out their site they have other venues..See more..

5.0RC Theaters(9 reviews) - Fathom Event - Opera La Fille du Regiment Spent 2-3 hours Movie Theaters Our first opera. Wow. Just Wow. Simulcast from the NY Metrpolitan Opera, and large as life on the theater screen. Even in our theater, people were clapping. Amazing to be part of a world-wide audience. Beautiful singing. 3.5Regal hyattsville(8 reviews) - Somewhat High Movie Theaters Like most movie theaters the prices are way over our budget and made worse by sky high prices at the concession stand. Maybe one line could be dedicated to refills and mid-movie snacks.See more..

4.5Music at Penn Alps(6 reviews) - The best classical music in western Maryland Theaters Ok, I am a bit biased since I am on the board, but this really is about the only option for classical music -- ensemble, not orchestral -- west of Hagerstown. Good food available next door, too.See more..

I love this theater! The seats are so comfortable. Even fully reclined there is space to move around. The self service “ Beer Wall” is a fun add on for those with proper ID to buy the card. I thought the size of the theater itself was intimate yet big enough too. The food choices extend beyond the typical movie theater and the tray shaped area attached to the seat provides a comfortable place to put your snacks. I enjoyed the option on the theater web page to see every show time, seating chats and seats available, and to purchase tickets online if you’d like to do that. I will return to this theater rather than the other name brand chain that is also close by.See more..
4.5Church Hill Theater(4 reviews) - Many Happy Visits Spent 1-2 hours Theaters
We live quite nearby, appropriately enough on Church Hill Road. I've lost count of how many productions we have seen at Church Hill Theater, all sharing common characteristics: Excellency in acting, direction, staging, costumes. When we see a new show coming we get tickets without a second thought if we will be here during the run. They unfailingly put on a very rewarding show. Usually just a couple of retirees, but last summer four grandchildren joined us for You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown and they loved it.See more..

2.0Country Club Cinemas(2 reviews) - Pricey Sunday: 11:30 AM - 8:30 PM Spent 2-3 hours Movie Theaters Eight cinemas is nice, but if you're in the smaller ones you can hear reverb off the other movies surrounded by it and although your movie you see is good and loud, it still kind of ruins it when you hear the reverb, especially if you're there seeing a Comedy and reverb comes right during a joke and you miss it completely. (Just a scenario, hasn't happened when I was there). Movies these days are pricey, Country Club Cinema keeps it somewhat cheaper for tickets than the other theaters, but the consessions is still outrageous, so I recommend you eat before the movie or after in some cases. The bathrooms are cleaner than the rest of the cinemas, a lot of the times the floor is still so stick even though I'm sure they clean them. My mind set when it comes to movies these days if there's something I really, really want to see I'll go to the theaters, but if it's something semi interested in...I'll wait for the DVD or Netflix.See more..
This is a great small theater. It is not one of those large multi screen places. Each seat is a recliner, which provides a comfortable seat to watch the movies. The aisles have plenty of leg room. If you purchase your tickets online, you can select your seats. Yes!! Reserved Seating!!! From the from it l has the classic look of an old theater. Inside you will find a modern and clean movie theater with a state of the art sound system. For me it is worth the 20 mile drive each way. I pass at least four large multi screen theaters on the way to Hollywood Cinema 4. Keep up the good work!!!See more..
5.0Denny and Lee Magic Studio(2 reviews) - A Real Magician's Studio Spent 1-2 hours Theaters This is not a tourist attraction. 4.0Regal Hunt Valley Stadium 12(1 review) - Great Movie Theater Spent 1-2 hours Movie Theaters We went to see a movie here on a Saturday afternoon. We were rather pleased to find that there were many great things about this facility. Very clean and welcoming upon entering. We were welcomed right away by a staff member who inquired if we needed any help. The ticket line moved rather fast. No waiting. The concession area was well stocked and the staff was pleasant and a fast. They were able to make suggestions when called on. Loved the stadium seating. Everyone had a great view. The theater itself was nicely cleaned. No stepping over or on any litter. The low lighting for emergencies was not distracting. Just right in this theater. The bathrooms were great. All functioning areas. Supplies were well stocked. It was very clean and no messes were found. When leaving after our showing, we were greeted again by a staff member who wished us a nice afternoon and to please come again. No complaints at all. We will be returning.See more..
