Charming area of the city and a great place to stay!
Dating back to the 18th century, this charming Baltimore district has cobblestone streets and a thriving culture by the waterfront. Wander through its quaint streets as you discover craft and antique shops, coffee houses and art galleries, then treat yourself to fresh seafood or a yummy burger at the Broadway Market. After dark, more than 100 pubs await you. Fell’s Point is a short drive from downtown Baltimore, but you can take a water taxi from the Inner Harbor for a more unique experience. You can also join a food, historic, or haunted pub tour to discover the district's hidden gems. – Tripadvisor

A pleasant and attractive part of Baltimore.
Fell's Point is a historic waterfront neighborhood in southeastern Baltimore, Maryland. It was established around 1763 and is a pleasant and attractive place, walking the cobbled streets and taking refreshments at one of the many cafe's or bars in the area. I can recommend a visit to Pitango Pastry for coffee and cake! See my separate review.

Skip the Harbor
I visit Fell's Point in Baltimore Maryland several times a year. I arrive early and eat the "Sweet Baby Jesus" at the Blue Moon Cafe. I then purchase Polish sausage from one of the Polish markets and put them in a cooler in my trunk. Fell's Point was the Polish section of Baltimore. Then I shop along the water or on Broad street. I spend at least an hour browsing for records at The Sound Garden. Then I have lunch at Ekeban restaurant or during the summer I eat a back fin lump crab cake from one of the many restaurants serving Chesapeake Bay crabs. Being from Maryland, I know that Chesapeake Bay blue crabs are only available during May, June, July and August. I sit on a bench by the water and people watch or I take a water taxi to the Harbor and walk up to Fort McHenry. I walk back to Fell's Point and stop in the Italian section for cookies and ice cream at Vaccaros. Then I watch the sunset from someplace close to or on the water and take my time walking back to my car to avoid rush hour traffic.
