A must do trail for those able to do easy trails
This was a favorite for us! Beat Cadillac Mountain. The views are amazing the trial is easy. There are several places along the trail where you can sit and just enjoy the amazing views. There are several places on the drive where you can pull off and take in a view, but if you are able and have the time I highly recommend parking and walking the full trail. It will not disappoint!

Easy walk with Beautiful Views.
If you travel to Acadia National park the shore path is a must do. The trial starts/ends at sand Beach and ends/starts Otter point and is a 2 mile walk one way. There are a lot of great views of the roughed shoreline. Since this is a popular hike it can get very crowded. The Acadia route road is one way and most people stop at Sand Beach. We were lucky as we got there by 8:30 and found a parking spot in the Sand Bean parking lot. If that gets full the cars park along the road and it gets hard to find a spot and get backed up. The one thing is that it is easy to get on trial because the trail is along and next to the loop road. If you want to enjoy both Sand beach and the shore path getting there before 9 am or after 4 pm give you a better chance of being less crowded and finding good parking. We did not do the whole trail we walked to Thunder Hole and walked back. Thunder Hole is popular spot but it not as dramatic if the tides are low and many people I heard saying they were a little disappointed with it. You have to go when tide is high and rough surf to get the full effect. One thing we did notice is that there is parking lot prior to getting to Thunder Hole and one at Thunder Hole. Since were their earlier they were empty on way to Thunder Hole but filled up by time we walked back. After we got back continued to drive down the loop road and stopped at the Otter Point parking lot. It was pretty empty. So we started our track back other way toward Thunder Hole. One thing we notice was there were not a lot of people on that section. The crowd were on the portions from Sand Beach to Thunder Hole. If you want to enjoy the scenery and not deal with a lot of people just do that portion. It was nice and were able to sit and enjoy the scenery without people on top of you. This was great walk along the shore and very enjoyable.
