3.5Hot Lake Springs(94 reviews) - Great Soaking Experience History Museums • Spas
We did not stay overnight at the hotel, but soaked in the new/improved tubs while staying at the co-owned RV park next door. New owners (for the past year) have made huge improvement in soaking area. Heated concrete, lights, propane fire bowls, fencing etc... There are five different soaking spots right there on the edge of the lake. Magical after dark. We did tour the hotel and it was fully booked the night we were there. Maybe 15-20 rooms for now as they slowly expand the finished rooms.See more..

3.5Vidae Falls(83 reviews) - Short stop on the Crater Lake Rim Drive Spent < 1 hour Waterfalls
This is on the Crater Lake Rim Drive. There is a small parking area; the falls are right next to the road. The area around the falls was closed when we visited (October 2022) for regeneration work. The falls were very limited when we stopped by.See more..
We stayed here over the 4th of July weekend. 100 degrees, amazing breeze, great views of the river. We loved the campsite and it's proximity to Hood River. Strange access, as you have to pass the park on the way East, and then turn around... Our big complaint, our campsite had a HUGE Poison Oak on the outskirts of the site. Our dog got into it, and only afterwards did my husband notice that it was Poison Oak. We alerted the Ranger, to confirm that it was Poison Oak - sure enough it was. We were appalled that they were so nonchalant about it - stating that because it's a native species they didn't take it out. They are very lucky that our dog got into it and not a small child. In my opinion, if something so dangerous is directly next to a site, they should remove it. At the VERY least put up a sign. If you have small children, or dogs - watch out for Poison Oak in this park!See more..
3.5Ghost Town Gulch(30 reviews) - An authentic Ghost Town---well worth a stop Biking Trails

3.5Alvord Hot Springs(29 reviews) - Go for the desert -- not the hot springs. Spent 2-3 hours Thermal Spas
The location is absolutely five stars: the scenery of the Steens, the ability to take the private access road to the desert playa, the night sky -- it is all worth the drive. Everything else might be three stars at best: even as someone who really likes a *hot* hot spring, I found the water unbearably hot when I was there, with no clear way to adjust, except to make it hotter! There is only one restroom for everyone at the campsite, and frequently had to wait in line, and there was no available fresh water for cleaning, bathing, cooking, or drinking, so come prepared (there's no information on the website about water availability). Finally, unless you really need an overhead light and a table indoors, skip the MASH units and camp. Our mattresses were stained.See more..
We go here quite often. In most cases the food is quite good with good sized portions. On occasion the service is slow but more often it is good. We have our favorite hostesses, but they are all friendly.See more..

My daughter was married at Creekside on July 2. It was everything she wanted. The sound of the brook coupled with the string duo she hired set the mood. Although Hornings was a little out of the way it was well worth the drive. My daughter and her husband planned an interactive reception with yard games. It never appeared as if anyone was spread out. The only drawback Is for anyone with mobility issues: it's a bit of an incline to reach the restrooms, but they are appropriately spaced out of the way from the pavilion. Bob was very helpful and patient in answering questions. He's done this before - we only had one shot at it. Also, during the evening, I heard guests ask "how did you find this place?" Hornings Hideout provided a secluded and intimate setting, perfect for a small wedding. See more..
I remember when this mall was built! Yes, the mall is under construction. You can still shop major anchor stores; Kohl's, Target, Cabela's, Sears. Smaller stores are still accessible. Maurices and Payless Shoe Store were moved and given a more attractive store. The changes are a good thing. Project completion is projected for Fall. Hobby Lobby, PetSmart, Marshall's are some of the new stores coming in.See more..
Nothing fancy, just good food and great service. Fast service, very accommodating and good prices, small town feel.See more..
3.0Viento State Park(21 reviews) - Location, location, location... Spent More than 3 hours State Parks
This is a nice little campground, except for the noise. Good space between spots. Clean newer showers, and free. I'd say close to 1/2 the campers here are wind surfers. Has electric and water, but no sewer and no dump station here. Heavily shaded. The bad part is the noise. If not for that, I'm sure there would be a lot of 5 star ratings. The comments other than noise are just nit-picky complainers. The train tracks are right up against the river side of Viento. I'd estimate there are 4-6 trains every night, maybe more. There is a track crossing for Viento, so every train blows its horn loudly going by. Then, I-84 is pretty much right up against the other side of Viento. I spent 3 nights at Viento, and got more and more used to it. Still, the trains woke me up. I'd stay here again if I had no other choice, but I'd try to get into another adjacent first.See more..
We stayed with our family there over a weekend. It is a nicely laid out campground. Facilities are good (showers & bathrooms). There is a lot of road noise from the highway. It was very noticeable when we first arrived; however, we soon got used to it and honestly didn't notice it too much. There are nice hiking trails around and there was a good Ranger's program. Other than that, there is not a lot to do at the campground.See more..

Trip adviser Member, Mcinnville Or Date 05-24-08 The Valley of the Giants is a 51 acre parcel of land containing a stand of old-growth Douglas-fir and hemlock trees, many of which are more than 20 feet in circumference and nearly 200 feet tall. Some of the largest trees are between 400 and 450 years old. The largest tree, which blew down in a windstorm in 1981, was 35 feet in circumference and more than 600 years old. In 1976, the Bureau of Land Management designated the site as an Outstanding Natural Area. The Valley of the Giants is located 30 miles west of Falls City via logging roads not suitable for passenger cars. If you are a first-time visitor, do not travel without directions. The trail loop is about 1.3 miles, beginning with a quick descent which ends at a steel bridge across the north fork of the Siletz River. Very steep and slippery trail in parts and always changing. A amazing place that if you get a chance to see it you won't regret it.See more..
Erratic Rock State Park should be a stop if you're traveling between the Portland metro area and Lincoln City or Newport. Located between McMinnville and Sheridan just off of Hwy 18, it is a great place to take in the valley view, see the Cascades on a clear day, take photos and learn a little bit about some interesting Willamette Valley geological history. A paved pathway leads uphill to the rock. It is wheelchair accessable, but can be a bit steep towards the top. Getting up to the main attraction is only about a quarter mile from the small parking area and there is an informational kiosk explaining how the rock got here from so many miles away (I'll let you find out the answer). One downside is that are no restrooms or picnic tables, but produce stands, wineries, art galleries and a Dairy Queen are close by. Enjoy the blackberries on the hike as well, when they're in season of course.See more..
We are nestled in the foothills of the Chehalem Mountains in the gorgeous Tualatin Valley. Our view of Mt. Hood, when she chooses to be out, is stunning smack above the middle of our lower vineyard. Our two Winery Dogs, Gemini and Trouble will usually meet you at your car and bring you down to the Tasting Room. Music starts at 2 PM. Pouring begins at Noon, Friday through Sunday and goes on until 5:30 PM. You are also welcome Tuesday through Thursday, same hours, by appointment.See more..

3.5Ritter Hot Springs(11 reviews) - Great little spot Hot Springs & Geysers
I often do not experience the same as others. I expected the worst but was very pleasantly surprised A tidy clean historic spot that only charged $3.00 for a soak! The hotel was old and I didn't look inside, rustic I'm sure. But the rest of the grounds and campground were clean as a whistle. No general store except for the historic one that has not been open for 40 years No alcohol and closed on the owners sabbath (Saturday) until sundown (the pool not the little campground). Owner was laid back and friendly and full of advice about the area, scenic places and all It almost seems like other reviewers were talking about somewhere elseSee more..
3.5Sky High Sports(11 reviews) - My teen had a great time Game & Entertainment Centers Surprised at the reviews I just read. Sky High is huge. And the employees were so nice to us when we checked in. We bought 2 hours of jump time and the grip socks were free. My son is 14 and extremely athletic. I guess they didn't have as many special half pipes and what not, but he was a sweaty mess after 2 hours from playing dodgeball and doing tricks in the large tramp area. There's also a snack bar which has every snack kids love. Lots of seating for parents and the free wifi is strong. My son definitely would go back!See more..
3.5World's Tallest Barber Pole(9 reviews) - Yep, very cool pole Spent < 1 hour Points of Interest & Landmarks
Just okay ! Wandering the neighborhood and found it… what a sight for sore eyes. Just goes up and up.See more..
We made a reservation while the owner of the shop was away, but the employee was more than happy to help. When we met the owner, however, ge was nothing but rude to our group of 4. My group reserved a raft a week in advance. When we arrived at our reserved time, the owner had lent out our boat to some of his "loyal customers." The owner's only response was "Looks like I already gave it out, what can we do about that?" Much to our dismay, we arranged to take a bigger raft and shuttle to one of their advertised drop-off points. Since it was our second time in Troutdale we asked where exactly the drop off point was so we could leave our car in the area, only to get another sarcastic remark about how little we know about the area. By this point we were too fed up to deal with the man and decided to make our way home. The owner does not cater to anyone who doesn't know the area. Do not waste your time allowing this old man to ridicule you and take your money.See more..
3.0Elkhorn golf course(8 reviews) - Nice improvements Spent More than 3 hours Golf Courses

3.0Forest Hills Golf Course(8 reviews) - Mature country course with beautiful views Sunday: 7:00 AM - 10:00 PM Golf Courses I love this course...and it's not because its the most manicured but because it has such great views. The trees are big and the farmland around is pristine. Always a fun play and my boys and I have great memories of playing either the front or the back.Greens were sanded on March 28, 2016 so rates are reduced to $10 for 9 holes.See more..
3.0Lemolo Lake(8 reviews) - Just drove around the lake Bodies of Water
We were just touring the area around Crater lake and found Lemolo Lake. It is smaller than Diamond Lake and therefore less crowded. The lake itself was pristine and we found a nice place to park, sit under the trees and have lunch. It was very quiet and the view was gorgeous.See more..
My family and I stopped for about an hour to take a break from driving on our cross-state road trip. This was a great place to go wading on a hot summer day. The water in the creek was shallow and cool. The rocks were a bit slippery due to the algae, but we didn't mind that at all. Just a bit of bushwhacking required to get from the parking area to the water's edge. Need a break? Have kids who like to play in water? Stop here!See more..

3.5Quail Valley Golf Course(7 reviews) - Countryside golf at its best !! Sunday: 6:00 AM - 6:00 PM Golf Courses Hi gang, In search for yet another Oregon golf course to play I visited Quail Valley in sunny Banks, Or. I paid $50 w/cart and played solo. Yardage guide is complimentary and helpful. Still I lost 4 golf balls into the water that I didn’t know was as close as it was..... Greens were in fantastic shape, putting green condition was one of the best practice green I’ve seen in years !! Kudos. The course played challenging not knowing what lied over the hill or beyond the trees on the corner, etc. Surprise !! Maint was buzzing around, sometimes unaware of golfers playing thru. Interesting layout of doglegs, water hazards and oh yeah.....wind. Go play Quail Valley, bring some extra balls, don’t be afraid to “massage” your scorecard for your first several rounds, it’s fun to play. Beautiful farms, fields and farm buildings all around. The water is warm enough to swim comfortably and the campsite around the lake are amazing, I especially like Southshore campground. There is so much to see on the water. 3.0Massage Envy(4 reviews) - Release That Tension Spent 1-2 hours Spas My husband pulled his shoulder before we went on holiday and it was still bothering him whilst we were away so we decided to try finding a place that did a sports massage. He chose Massage Envy and we set an appointment for both of us. He had a sports massage and I just had a Swedish. Although the price was a little steeper than we'd like, they were very friendly and warm. They asked questions about what we'd like and such (which most massage places do) and it's the first time I had actually dozed off at all during a massage so kudos to Brandon for his lovely hands! Every room was clean and they tell you to strip down to as far comfortable as you want which is great. Their massage tables are really sturdy; they don't wiggle around at all. Would I recommend this place? Of course, but only as a treat. If you're a local, I definitely recommend being a member here. It's a nice place to give a whirl :)See more..
