There is no cell service in the town, but this 100+ year old place had it all. Traditional country store with groceries on one side and a bar on the other side, with plenty of taxidermy, snarky signs, free pool table, and John Wayne movies on the TV. They also have an ongoing "Rattlesnake Competition" wherein locals bring in snakes in exchange for prizes and the tavern converts the snakes into stuff to sell to tourists. We stopped in here for lunch after visiting the Fort Rock Homestead Museum. The caretaker there said we should give it a try. Wow. It far exceeded our expectations. I had the Bacon Blackberry Brie Melt and my boyfriend had a burger, I don't remember which one, but man oh man was it amazing.
