Our family of 7 went on the 3 day 2 night rafting trip with these guys and it was absolutely amazing!! Our guides Maynard, Mike, Dustin, Kevin and Soren were experienced, knowledgeable, friendly, funny, and went above and beyond to make sure everyone was safe, comfortable and having a great time. The food, the camp set up, the raft were all incredible, and as soon as the trip was over our kids were asking if we could turn around and do it again. We stayed the first and last night at Morrison's lodge and loved it. The cabins were spacious and great for our family, and oh my gosh the food at the lodge!!!! 5 star al the way!! We had a wonderful experience with this zip line tour. The progressive lines (starting with shorter to longer lines) are the perfect way for anyone new to this experience. My 10yr old son had his first experience with zip lining and he really enjoyed it. Our guides, Amanda and John, were very patient, funny but not overly tacky in their humor, and kind in their instructions. They made everyone in our group (ages 10 - 75) feel welcome. They also didn't rush anyone which we were grateful for. It was an overall fun and pleasant experience and we would definitely recommend this to all who want to try zip lining.See more..
We had an amazing full day trip down the Dechutes, with Jodi as our fun, safe and knowledgeable guide. Could not have had a better experience! The company is organized and top rate. Communication leading up to they rip was easy; the equipment was new; they provided us with helmets, which the other companies didn’t appear to do. Our lunch was great, and they went over the top to accommodate both my vegan husband and another gluten-free guest. Really nice! But best of all was the rafting, which was awesome and so beautiful. We went through ~ 15 Class 2/3 rapids, and one pretty terrifying but totally thrilling Class 4. Jodi skillfully lead us through them all, with deep knowledge and good humor. Haven was our boat guide, and he was professional, a skilled guide, entertaining, fun, and very informative about the area. All of the guides and gear boaters were awesome, friendly, and very good at what they do. They kept the trip fun, the food was great, the atmosphere relaxed and comfortable. I never kayaked, though was a bit familiar with white water in the East. This trip is for those who love being outside, in water, and love being active, not necessarily experienced. Everyone in my group used the duckies, which are optional and so exhilarating. The guides are very experienced, knowledgeable about history of the area, and devoted to assuring a safe and fun experience. The food was FANTASTIC. They prepare/ cook on site which was incredible. There was steak salmon sushi, great salads, and dessert. We saw eagles daily, some Big Horn sheep, and one river otter. Lots of birds and butterflies too. We did the lodge trip, warm showers, wine, home cooked dinners and breakfast in the morning was perfect. There was also time for hiking, singing and games, totally entertaining. Our guides were just the BEST! Keep us safe, taught us river etiquette, took historical stops, made different lunches everyday, had people swimming, jumping off of rocks, having the best trip ever. I came here with 5 other friends after doing the Hood to Coast race. Only one of us had done a white water rafting trip before so we didn't know what to expect. Our guide Gary was fantastic. He had great stories, helped us brave the rapids, and even helped us go back up in to the rapids several times. Every one on the trip had an amazing time and it was one of our favorite things we did on the trip. Gary was a big part of that as he had great stories about the river and things that he has seen over the years. I cannot recommend this trip enough. Reasonably priced and Sequoia (another employee) took great pictures from the shore during our trip. We purchased over 40 photos for only $40 which I thought was quite a bargain. This really was an amazing day. Let me start by saying that I planned this trip because I thought my husband and kids would enjoy it--water is really not my thing. By the end of the day I was swimming down rapids and jumping off of 15 ft cliffs!!! Rael was great with kids and adults alike. His knowledge of the area and his love for the river are infectious. He picked us up at the treesort, served a delicious lunch and dropped up back home around dinner time. In a weekend of fun (horses, ziplines, treehouses) this experience was at the top. I did a 3 day, 2 night drift boat trip on the Deschutes River with some college friends and we had an amazing experience. The guides, food, and camp experience were all top-notch and the guides know the river so well that they always put you in the best fishing spots. The fried chicken dinner is some of the best chicken I have had anywhere. It does not matter if you are new to fly fishing or an advanced fisherman as the guides will quickly assess the skills of the client and adjust how much hands-on support is necessary. The beauty of the lower Deschutes River is something that should be experienced at least once in a lifetime. We went on a two day one night trip, rafting, fishing, and concert on the rocks with Jefferson State outfitters! The guides were amazing, the food was so yummy, and lots of memories were made. We picked DRA after another family recommended them to us. We had a great morning. The rapids were perfect for all - not too crazy and not too slow to be boring. Guides had activities to do during the quieter times. Lots of opportunities to jump in the water (I felt like my 10 and 12 year old were in the water 1/3 of the time). Our guide, Conner, would just reach over and grab their life jacket and haul them back in. We did a 5-day raft trip on the wild & scenic section of the Rogue River with OARS in July 2021. They were excellent every step of the way, from the trip booking and coordinating with the office through the actual trip with all the logistics. The 6 guides provided an excellent, safe, exciting trip! We thoroughly enjoyed it and their level of professionalism and skill is exemplary. The guides made sure that the group had opportunities for all ages (7 to 73) and fitness/adventure skill levels to enjoy the river, including hikes, jumping/swimming chances, inflatable kayaks, etc. They allowed experienced kayakers/rafters to bring our own boats too, which we really enjoyed. They took great care of us in camp too, including accommodating a family member who has to eat gluten-free (meals were all celiac-friendly!!). Bought the 6 hour trip as a birthday gift for my mother. A chance to get out with her grandsons and enjoy the outdoors. From the time we arrived the staff was friendly and accomodating. They were well trained and we felt safe the entire trip. Our group ranged in age from 13 to 72 and everyone had a blast. The equipment was clean and they gave great advice on staying warm (it was a mild day). Taylor, our guide, was a ton of fun. He made us all laugh and did a good job making sure we all got wet. The lunch stop was wonderful, we were eatting steak and chicken while the other tours ate burgers. I would recommend they add some veggies to the menu. Like most of these trips, I wish they would just increase the price and throw the pictures in for free. Always feels like a bit of a ripoff to be charged $60 for the cd of the trip.See more..

It will be difficult for me not to give this company a high rating because my son and I were 30 minutes late for the start of our trip and they waited for us. Thank you. Luckily we did not inconvenience anyone else on the trip. Now for the real rating, still 5 Stars. Great instruction, felt safe, great tour guiding. However, the real star of this adventure is the scenery, beautiful river with appropriate rapids for our level of experience, which was none. The trip took approximately 3 1/2 hours for the half-day, the water is cold and you will get wet, with little time to dry off between rapids. If you do the half day trip you will probably do section two of the river which offers the most rapids per mile of any river in Oregon. I highly recommend this section with this company.See more..

It was just over an hour drive from downtown Eugene. We had Lenny as our guide. Really cool guy and our group had a ton of fun. We were a family of 5, with 3 young kids. The kids had a blast as we battled the whitewater, riding the bull and getting very very wet. We had another group (2 girls) in our raft . Everyone was super cool and there to just enjoy and have fun. It was everyone's first time rafting and it was an adventure. We opened the rafting season by renting a raft from Royal. Over the years we've rented from every outfitter in Shady Cove but Royal has been the best BY FAR. The prices are better than every other raft company. The rafts are in top notch shape and the best self-bailer I've been in. The staff is super friendly and helpful. They gave us extra equipment (dry bag & cooler) for no additional fee. The business is clean with shaded parking for our car. Royal isn't crowded and chaotic. Their transport vehicle doesn't feel like rickety death mobile like some of the other companies in town. They were very accommodating and safety conscious. We booked a fishing trip for five anglers for two days with Bob and his guide buddy Jim Marten . Three of the guys were novice fly fishers. Bob and Jim guided us down two different stretches of the McKenzie River. We all caught plenty of fish, learned new techniques, had a nice shore lunches, and enjoyed the company of both Bob and Jim. We decided to plan a fly fishing trip on the McKenzie River and the owners at Eagle Rock Lodge suggested Spencer Outfitters to guide us. We called and asked the owner, Bob Spencer, questions about the river and the fishing opportunities. Bob responded to all our questions and we enjoyed hearing the fishing prospects. Bob has a very calming voice and we felt confident with his knowledge and experience so we chose Bob to be our drift boat guide for our three day fly fishing adventure. When Bob picked us up at the lodge we could tell after meeting Bob that he was not only experienced but also had a very dry sense of humor. We also learned quite rapidly that Bob was a total professional and knows the river like the back of his hand; he knows the locations and the best techniques to catch fish. So much so when we were in the rapids Bob knew where he was going and guided the boat exactly where he wanted all the while Bob’s calm demeanor continued. Not overbearing and only gave suggestions when needed, we both enjoyed Bob’s methods. Because of Bob’s expertise and experience we caught many fish and had a great time. In fact, we caught a 24" 9lb. steelhead trout utilizing the “Rouge River Twitch.” The river side lunches were also great. Last June, my husband and I had our wedding celebration at Horse Creek Lodge in McKenzie Bridge and it was absolutely magical. We wanted to treat our guests to some of our favorite things to do in the mountains, like river rafting and mountain biking. The owners of both Horse Creek Lodge and McKenzie River Outdoor Center, Alyssa and Gary, made these adventures so easy to plan and carry out. They are so organized that our rafting party of over 20 guests were able to be fitted for gear, shuttled to the put in, given safety instructions and be on the river in just a short amount of time. The gear was clean, new, and top of the line. We loved our guides, who were all excellent captains and also had great personalities. We all had an incredible time on this beautiful, exciting river. The next day, my husband and about 15 guests took the McKenzie River Outdoor Center's shuttle to the end of the McKenzie River Trail for a great mountain bike ride. A number of our guests rented bicycles and helmets from the Center and were impressed with the quality of the gear. This is a truly remarkable company and fantastic people to work with.
