  1. 4.0 Pendleton Woolen Mill Store (412 reviews)
    - Must Stop
Sunday: 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM Speciality & Gift Shops • Historic Sites
    Pendleton Woolen Mill Store image
I am a Northwest guy and Pendleton products have been in my life for over 7 decades. I am a 100% disabled vet so purchasing a $400 blanket was a bit of a push. We bought items from the bargain section which were good looking items but just off a bit not perfect. We spent 2 hours looking and walked out with several stunning items now brought into our home for a great price. These products will outlast you and are worthy of passing down. See more..

Sunday: 10:00 AM - 4:00 PM Spent 1-2 hours Speciality & Gift Shops • Ranches
Alpacas at Marquam Hill Ranch image
Who we are…Alpacas at Marquam Hill Ranch is an 18 acre ranch in Molalla, Oregon. We are directly in between Molalla and Silverton. We have 80 Huacaya alpacas. We breed our animals for the fineness of their fiber, with a soft handle and good density. Our goal is to create a long term fineness in all animals that mimics the feel of cashmere or better. Presently more than half our herd is under 21 micron. We have white as well as a variety of other colors of alpacas. There are 22 natural colors of alpacas as defined by the Alpaca Registry. Bill is an AOBA Certified Fleece and Performance Judge. His education helps in the purchases and breeding of our alpacas. In the future we will be holding seminars on fleece evaluations, breeding selection, business plan write ups and fiber arts. If there is a topic you’d like to learn about, we’ll find the instructor and create the class. Or you can just stop by and we would be happy to answer your questions. We have a large fleece room dedicated for presentations and a ranch store for a quick pick up gift for yourself or someone special. Our herd consists of eight studs we either fully own or own in partnership. They are Snowmass Trilogy, Ezekial's Challenger of Marquam Hill, Crescent Moon’s Ezekial, Crescent Moon’s Accoyo Elizario, Accoyo America Kodiak, Nirvana of AMHR, Denver of AMHR and Emerald Cloud's Javelin. We love to talk about these amazing animals. Whether it is a question on how to get started, breeding questions, animal husbandry, the investment aspects (Bill is a retired CPA) or anything else that you might be interested in, please feel free to stop by, give us a call or drop us an email. We look forward to hearing from you! See more..
  5. 4.5 Lillie Belle Farms (104 reviews)
    - Who Doesn't Love a Good Handmade Chocolate
    Sunday: Speciality & Gift Shops
    Lillie Belle Farms image
Any place with the words "Handmade Chocolates" always peeks my interest. Such a sweet little gem, way off the beaten path in Central Point Oregon. I was first introduced to their chocolates by my brother who has a nose for "fine and interesting chocolates". On my first and not my last visit, they did not disappoint. Bigger question.... what to buy besides "Everything". Their Lavender Caramels are incredible. As is everything, really. Beautifully displayed and also many just gorgeously created. Almost too pretty to eat, but great for gifts. Plus they have very whimsical individual confections and mini boxes of cute treats. Loved the Chocolate Covered Fortune Cookies too. A trip North from San Francisco or on the way home, always means a side trip to Lillie Belle. See more..

We really enjoyed our visit and bought A LOT of beef jerky. They have samples so you can decide which jerky and beef sticks you like best. They have zero sugar options and beef sticks. I am doing the keto diet so beef jerky with zero sugar and pepperoni sticks are a good snack. I liked everything I tried! Unlike when I went to an Oberta outlet and they didnt offer samples and I ended up not liking the beef sticks I bought. See more..

HAMLEY WESTERN STORE AND SADDLE SHOP image
We aren't big into western wear, but from the outside looking in, this store looked like a fun place to look around. As we walked in we were impressed with the beauty of this historical building. As we wandered through, one of the employees gave us a history of the building and the family that started the business. We walked around enjoying the architecture, the tin ceilings, massive decorative hanging lights, larger than life size bronze sculptures, and the beautiful saddles that are still made here. Well worth a stop just to look around. See more..

Willamette Mountain Mercantile-Oakridge Bike Shop image
We were on a road trip and not at all familiar with the area when we stopped by to take a look around and get some trail information. The guys here were so helpful. It was early in the season and lots of trails were still snow covered and they had all the current trail information and were able to give suggestions based on our skill level. We really didn't need to buy anything but we hunted around just for something to get because we felt like we owed them something for all the information. We had a great ride that afternoon and we will be back again some day for more riding in the area and if we need anything - this will be the place we stop! Great Crew! See more..

This place is one of the most friendly places to shop with a wonderful and helpful staff. They do sell stuff that leans towards the high end. You won't find 20 dollars pans and equipment here. You will find quality brands like all clad and its ilk. So if that is what you are shopping for please come down and support this independent business. And as much as I love small business I do love my wallet and have compared prices online and I have found that their this place is not overpriced. Books would be the exception since amazon cuts those prices. Either way it is better to support local when you can See more..

Three levels of shopping and filled to the brim. Plus the employees were the friendlist of any antique shop I have been to in my life, and I have been to many. I have worked in stores and have been a vendor on and off for my adult life. They had a little bit of this and a little bit of that. A huge selection truly! They also had complementary bottled water in a cooler which was WONDERFUL on a hot summer day. There were hundreds of people milling through the town. I really thought it was very generous of them to be offering water (the couple in front of me took one going into the store and out of the store) Thank you to whom ever was the guy greeting at the back door. 40. 4.5 Powell's Books (5 reviews)
    - A large independent bookstore - part of a small local chain
Spent 1-2 hours Speciality & Gift Shops
    Powell's Books image
We had originally planned to visit the downtown location of Powell's but we happened to have dinner in Aloha, OR. This branch was relatively close, so we stopped by here instead. This is a large bookstore. If I lived in the area, I could picture becoming a 'regular' here. From what I observed, the store is well laid-out and labeled for easy reference. They appeared to have an extensive selection. It reminded me of a long-defunct 2 - 3 outlet chain in Atlanta from the 70s - 90s (Oxford Books), which I miss. This location also appeared to connect to a small mall-type shopping area, though it was closed and the large mostly-glass garage-type doors were shut. I'm glad we stopped by, but I'm sad that there is not some analog to this place where I live. See more..
