Captain Drake's flight lodge is a beautiful place to stay whether you are staying a night or for several weeks while engaged in your flight training. We are an adventure vacation destination flight school providing instruction for sport pilots and ultralight airmen. We also offer rooms for $60/ night to non-flying folks who just want to stay in a unique and special spot. Beautiful old Carnegie library, inside and out. The current exhibit was of local high school students and showed amazing talents and ideas. My sister & I recently went to a luncheon & tour of the Thyme Gardens. It’s well-worth the drive. We started with a tour of the herb & flower gardens, which was very informative. We walked along a trail with creeks & woods. Be sure to wear good walking shoes. Had a multi-course lunch prepared fresh with edible flowers. Prepped & served by the owners & family. It took 3 hours total time including lunch. Highly recommend this place for a unique dining experience. Very peaceful & relaxing. Will go back in the future.See more..
5.0DanceWell Ballroom(1 review) - Super fun dance classes Sunday: 11:00 AM - 7:00 PM Spent 1-2 hours Lessons & Workshops I've been taking dance classes from the DanceWell instructors for about a year now. Each instructor is personable and knowledgeable about a variety of dance styles. They teach ballroom (i.e., foxtrot, waltz, etc.), latin (i.e., salsa, tango, etc.), nightclub, country and swing (West Coast swing is especially popular now). Why I like DanceWell is because they host several dance parties each month where students get to practice in a real social dance environment. The folks who come to these parties range from newcomers to veteran dance instructors. Everyone is super nice and inviting. Even if you've never taken a class for a particular dance, everyone will happily show you some basic moves to get you moving across the ballroom floor. The majority of classes are held at The Ballroom Dance Company's ballrooms, but DanceWell instructors also teach at Dance Fit Oregon in Beaverton, Dance Sport in The Pearl District and Parkrose Dance Avenue in NE Portland.See more..
