I took the Columbia Gorge tour, and it was a fabulous afternoon. I'd driven that road before, but it's so much better when you take it on the bike's slower pace--you're really able to appreciate the beauty. Our fearless leader, Daniel, was great with local history and facts and kept us rolling along at a nice pace. I'd highly suggest this for anyone new to the area, or perhaps a small group looking for a way to spend the afternoon in a gorgeous part of the area.See more..

We went on a two day one night trip, rafting, fishing, and concert on the rocks with Jefferson State outfitters! The guides were amazing, the food was so yummy, and lots of memories were made. I felt so safe going down class 4 rapids especially with never doing anything like that before! If your looking for a great time make sure to contact this awesome company. Davey and Genesis were amazing and always made sure we felt safe and stayed in the boat. They know so much about the river and teaching you everything to know about rafting! The place is amazing , staff were friendly and helpful ! It was a great trip ! We will be back . It’s nice to see workers enjoying their jobs and being happy and helpful to everyone , it’s hard to find places where people truly enjoy their jobs. We had a fantastic time on Lake Wallowa. We did a three hour kayak experience from the north end with JO paddle. This family own business puts their heart and soul into providing you the best experience on the water. We enjoyed our time immensely and highly recommend this experience. At the end of our time on the water, the owner gave us numerous tips about other hikes and activities that we could do in the area. So the next time you’re in Joseph Oregon I would highly recommend that you rent kayaks or stand up paddle boards with JO paddle. We have rented kayaks in the San Juan Islands, Seattle Washington and other places and JO Paddle was by far the best experience we’ve ever had.See more..

We went on the Minam Store’s Wine and Food on the Snake River through Hell’s Canyon for 5 days and 4 nights of exciting whitewater (class 3) rafting, hiking and glamping. The entire experience was outstanding: Grant and his expert rafting guides provided insights on the river, wildlife, and historical context during our hikes; Walla Walla winemaker Trey Busch of Sleight of Hand Cellars brought an abundance of excellent wines; all the delicious food was prepared in advance by Chef Andrae Bopp (rhymes with ‘hope’) of AK’s Mercado in Walla Walla. Grant and Lottie Richie, owners of the Minam Store in Wallowa OR, provided the sturdy rafts and gear (dry bags, tents, cots, etc) Definitely recommend this adventure!See more..
We rented a raft from Raft the Rogue for a great float down the river. It was all really easy- we checked in and were shuttled up the river, and then it was up to us! We brought our dog along for the ride- it was a blast. We had a few minor struggles into branches and such, but overall it was easy and super fun. We can't wait to do it again!See more..
The staff at Sky Lakes Wilderness Adventures was wonderful. They helped us book a kayaking tour that was just right for our family. They accommodated 7 of us ranging in age from 55 down to 10 years old. They had everything we needed to make the adventure comfortable, exciting and just a lot of fun. It was a great way to end our family vacation. Our guide, Colton, was awesome! He knew the history of the area and about the wildlife. He also taught us about how to handle our kayaks. Very experienced and understood what each person in our group was capable of doing. I would highly recommend using Sky Lakes Wilderness Adventures! high priced for jet ski rental but so worth it, the lake is amazing! Especially this year with the water level being so high! The water is warm enough to swim comfortably and the campsite around the lake are amazing, I especially like Southshore campground. There is so much to see on the water. The boat rentals were good prices if you have a group to split the cost. The Marina shop is really nice and the employees are very friendly and accommodating.See more..

1st. year as Marina member. Experience has been great so far. The marina facility appears in good condition, and well kept, although 1 of the permanent cleats on dock in slip broke during storm, and some damage was done to boat. Restaurant and bar are fun, food is reasonably priced , service is decent.See more..

I visited in April when everything was green, the sky blue and the clouds dancing about the reservoir. I am not a boater nor do I own a boat so I can't review as far as a marina good to launch a boat or store a boat. It is a great place to take the family to watch the boats come and go. Lots of picnic type areas. A small store that stocks a limited amount of picnic camping supplies. There are beautiful trails around the marina that would be great for even preschool children. Certainly a picture taking opportunity.See more..

Last June, my husband and I had our wedding celebration at Horse Creek Lodge in McKenzie Bridge and it was absolutely magical. We wanted to treat our guests to some of our favorite things to do in the mountains, like river rafting and mountain biking. The owners of both Horse Creek Lodge and McKenzie River Outdoor Center, Alyssa and Gary, made these adventures so easy to plan and carry out. They are so organized that our rafting party of over 20 guests were able to be fitted for gear, shuttled to the put in, given safety instructions and be on the river in just a short amount of time. The gear was clean, new, and top of the line. We loved our guides, who were all excellent captains and also had great personalities. We all had an incredible time on this beautiful, exciting river. The next day, my husband and about 15 guests took the McKenzie River Outdoor Center's shuttle to the end of the McKenzie River Trail for a great mountain bike ride. A number of our guests rented bicycles and helmets from the Center and were impressed with the quality of the gear. This is a truly remarkable company and fantastic people to work with. I wanted to have a leisurely paddle along the Upper Klamath Canoe trail and I’m glad I chose these guys for this. Not wanting a guided tour, we popped into the shop to hire a tandem kayak. The owner was very helpful and provided useful information for the area. For a very reasonable fee he dropped us off and came to collect the kayak when we were done. We followed to the launch area in the car so that we could go off in our own direction once finished. We launched from Malone spring and paddled for an hour and a half before turning around. The trail was beautiful and very easy. The only hiccup we came across was the mosquitos at the launch area, however, the very friendly guy had some spray in his truck and offered it to us. If you’re considering hiring anything in the area, I would strongly recommend you use these guys. Helpful, polite, armed with mosquito repellent! See more..
