My husband and I came in August after COVID cancelled our previous vacation plans. Lindley was very accommodating of our short notice and helped me determine if the ride would be suitable for my husband who has horse experience but isn’t an expert rider. The first day we were welcomed and paired up with our horses. They had a few options of sturdy steeds and quickly found a nice match for each rider. The first morning we settled in with a ride around the property and hopping over a few ditches and then moved on to a winery in the afternoon. Each day of riding was fantastic, different from before and progressively more advanced which made for a perfect week. We had a blast and learned a lot from Justin on our rides. Galloping on the beach was such a treat and we can’t wait to come back. They were very thoughtful about social distancing, wearing masks and always having hand sanitizer. My 16 year old daughter and I were traveling to Yachacts for a mini vacation and on the way there we stopped and went on a trail ride in a group with 2 employees. It turned out to be a nice sunny day at the coast. We didn't even need jackets or coats. The employees were very friendly and we felt very safe on their gorgeous all gelding horses. Friend told us they had a great time here so we purchased 4 lessons and glad we did. Large clean indoor arena, great selection of saddles to choose from and very well cared for horses and barn animals. They offer lessons and trail rides including to local wineries. Will update review when we sign up for that. The owner is Sarah and she is very friendly and patient. Her ranch hand Denny was my guide and he is also super friendly and helpful as well. I wanted to have a leisurely paddle along the Upper Klamath Canoe trail and I’m glad I chose these guys for this. Not wanting a guided tour, we popped into the shop to hire a tandem kayak. The owner was very helpful and provided useful information for the area. For a very reasonable fee he dropped us off and came to collect the kayak when we were done. We followed to the launch area in the car so that we could go off in our own direction once finished. We launched from Malone spring and paddled for an hour and a half before turning around. The trail was beautiful and very easy. The only hiccup we came across was the mosquitos at the launch area, however, the very friendly guy had some spray in his truck and offered it to us. We have gone horseback riding all over the country and this rates as one of the best. We did this ride several years ago and couldn’t wait to do it again. Vixen and her family have about 40 horses and access to some of the most beautiful scenery you will ever see. We took three teens on this ride who had no problem with the technical challenge. Vixen gives you a lot of flexibility and freedom with the horses which makes it even more enjoyable. We can’t wait to come back again.See more..
