I read about The Lincoln City Glass Center on Trip Advisor and thought I'd check it out. Scheduling in advance online was really easy, and when I needed to change the time of my appointment I was able to do that online as well. The recommendation to come 15 minutes early to decide on the piece you'll have made and the colors you want it made out of is excellent advice. If you're like me and have trouble deciding on color combinations, you might want to come even earlier. Anya did an excellent job of explaining the glass-blowing process in general, and each step in making the paperweight I selected. Anya was gracious about me videoing the process. Although some may consider the cost of a glass-blown item to be expensive, this is an original piece of artwork that I got to participate in making...even if just through observation. I highly recommend the Lincoln City Glass Center. This definitely something I will do again.See more..

I've always loved blown glass. Gathering Glass produces a lot of commercial glass products, but also holds classes and workshops as well as renting shop time to individuals. My wife bought me an introductory class for Christmas. Keith there did a great job of explaining what we were going to do to create my own ornament and then helping me through the process. His instructions were very clear and helpful and he helped me feel at ease around the intense heat of molten glass. I loved the challenge of doing something very different and the ornament turned out very well. Something completely different to do for those visiting Ashland Shakespeare Festival. Highly recommended.See more..

His gallery features all types of paintings and features spectacular paintings of Indians in the Wallowas. I spent an hour discussing art with Mark while my wife was across the street getting a massage. The next day, my wife and I visited the gallery and spent two hours studying the artwork, deciding on one of Mark's paintings to grace the entrance hall of our home. We spent 3 days in Joseph and the purchase of a painting was one of the highlights of our trip. We appreciated that the Aspen Grove Gallery was open on a Tuesday and a Wednesday when over half of the art galleries in Joseph were closed, some closed for winter season when few tourists are in town. When we return to Joseph in 2016, we will be stopping at Aspen Grove Gallery to visit. By the way, the Gallery is next to Stein Distillery.See more..
