We took the 3.5 hour Sunset Tour. Toney, our Navajo guide, took great care of us. He is SO knowledgeable. He shared names and stories about each of the monuments, answered all of our questions and gave us great photo tips along the way. At one point, Toney realized that a bad storm was coming (a summer monsoon). He calmly guided us to an alcove in a rock wall, where we could watch the storm (and the waterfalls that suddenly appeared), but stay safe and dry until the rain stopped. We were referred by our hotel to Sleeping Rainbow Adventures for a jeep tour and we were not disappointed! Erin was our guide and she was very knowledgeable, despite her short time in the area. This points directly at the owners and their vast knowledge and ensuring their guides are just as informed. We recommend the 5-7 hour tour if you are seeing Capitol Reef as there is plenty of time to get out, walk around the sites and take lots of pictures! We thought 5+ hours would be a long ride, but in fact it went by so fast. There is so much to see and Erin was so open to conversation and willing to point out the various structures and history that you just don't watch the clock.See more..
Jim took our family of five (including 8, 6, and 5 year old children) on a slot canyon tour outside of Escalante. He catered the tour to our children's abilities while still challenging them. He taught us all basic climbing maneuvers that assisted in moving through the tight canyons. He was friendly and fun. Of a 16 day road trip, this tour was the highlight of our vacation. We went out for a special event. There was a band playing on a pontoon, and we got kayaks from Dig Paddlesports and paddled out to the pontoon to hear the band, which was very talented and diverse. I swear, it's the coolest thing I've done in years. We are all very inexperienced! We got a tandem kayak and two singles. My 11 year old is a natural and was laughing and loved having his own water craft. My 77 year old mother was able to paddle down and back with no issues in the tandem. The staff were AMAZING, polite, and helpful. We all had life vests, included with each rental. Will definitely go again.See more..

Our tent was better than some hotel rooms we have had! Spotless, tastefully decorated, fully outfitted with cookware, plates, etc. We had a slight issue with our coffee maker Within minutes of our text someone brought us a replacement. Great experience! While staying at the Grand Canyon North, we had the pleasure of taking the mule ride into the canyon and I am SO glad we did. "Kansas" was our guide and he was excellent! He told us fun stores along the way and was very attentive to everyone's needs. The mules were well cared for and were experts at navigating the narrow path. Kansas made the 3-hour ride extra special with his knowledge of the canyon. Going into the canyon was truly an experience as the scenery certainly changes as you go down. We booked a Sunset Lake Powell and Antelope Canyon Tour in late October and had an incredible time! Sean was quick, helpful & friendly to communicate with, both before and during the tour. He worked hard to make sure everything was easy for us and that we had a an educational and memorable adventure with lots of great photos. My husband and I greatly enjoyed our hike with Jeff. He took us slick rock hiking in a location that we could never have accessed with our rental SUV. The hike was just the right length with the right level of challenge. We visited a secluded slot canyon and took a break in a very special small cave. That was all amazing as was the weather. What put the hike over the top was Jeff. He really listened to our description of the type of hike that we wanted to do. He's also a great guy. Wonderful to talk to with a great sense of perspective. If we are ever in the area, we will definitely try to arrange another hike with Jeff.See more..
My family and I had an amazing experience with Greater Zion E-Bike Rentals!! They helped us fold up the bikes, put them in our car, and we took them for a few days. We were able to avoid the lines and hassle of waiting for the shuttle bus in the park. We also went on some trails outside the park that they recommended. I participated in the Wild Utah Tours Get Mirnavated 2022 Retreat. I can sum up my experience in one phrase: life-changing. Shanti and her team guided a group of 25 women through some of the most breathtaking landscape on this continent. Activities were tailored to the abilities and interests of our diverse group. Dining experiences included with our package were delicious, and housing accommodations were comfortable and welcoming. I loved having access to staff members with a great variety of skills, from trail running coaches to search & rescue to geology to photography to palentology to painting to guided meditation, and came away from the week with a deeper knowledge of the wilderness in southern Utah, better skills as a runner and hiker, and a deep connection to the women who shared this journey. Josh is great. After our RZR broke down 1/4 from the parking lot, he actually chauffeured us around all weekend in his rig. Very low key, local guide with life-long knowedge of the area. The tours actually hit a wide variety of historical sites from Anasazi to pioneer times to mining and industrial revolution. You could spend a lot of time in this area, but it's off the beaten path a bit so it's not overrun by traffic. Hurry and take the chance to do the tours before everything in that part of the country is restricted for vehicles.See more..

This was one of the funnest tours we've ever taken. Robert picked us up at the hotel and took us to Moonshine arch which is spectacular. Then in his Jeep we crawled up turtle mountain and headed higher up as my photos show. It was extreme off road if and we loved every minute of it.
